"ABSTRAKTesis ini membahas analisa tingkat value leverage yang optimal dari strukturmodal PT Indosat tbk dengan parameter nilai biaya modal yang paling rendahdengan pendekatan teori struktur modal Modigliani-Miller dan Ehrhardt-Brigham.Struktur modal optimal Perusahaan saat keadaan dengan pajak dan adanya biayakebangkrutan berdasarkan pendekatan yang diajukan oleh Modigliani-Milleradalah saat komposisi utang Perusahaan berada pada level 30% karenamenghasilkan nilai Perusahaan paling maksimal yaitu sebesar Rp. 19.920,08miliar dan nilai WACC paling minimal yaitu sebesar 7,68% dan struktur modaloptimal Perusahaan dengan Pendekatan Brigham-Ehrhardt adalah saat komposisiutang berada pada level 30% karena menghasilkan nilai Perusahaan palingmaksimal yaitu sebesar Rp. 19.586,09 miliar dan nilai WACC paling minimalyaitu sebesar 8,29%.

ABSTRACTThis thesis explored the optimal level of value leverage of Indosat Co., Limited’scapital structure with the lowest of cost of capital as parameter using Modigliani-Miller and Brigham-Ehrhardt capital structure theory approach. Optimal capitalstructure of the Company when the corporate taxes and the bankruptcy cost areexist based on approach that proposed by Modigliani-Miller is if the currentcomposition of Company's debt at the level of 30% for generating the maximumvalue of the Company in the amount of IDR 19,920.08 billions and the minimumvalue of the WACC is equal to 7.68% and the optimal capital structure of theCompany based on approach that proposed by Brigham- Ehrhardt is if thecurrent composition of Company’s debt at the level of 30% for generating themaximum value of the Company in the amount of IDR 19,586.09 billions and theminimum value of the WACC is equal to 8.29%."
