The Bungbulang area and its surroundings are known for producing gemstones such as chrysoprase chalcedony, chrysocolla chalcedony, jasper, and opal, which are products of hydrothermal alteration in the form of veins and silicified wood fossils. Gemstone business is a major livelihood in the region, but over the past 2 years, it has become increasingly difficult to find gemstones. As a result, out of dozens of mines, only 4 are still operational. Current exploration methods are quite conventional, with excavation occurring only when gemstones are exposed, necessitating systematic geological analysis to understand the geological factors influencing gemstone distribution. According to the theory of fault density, it can serve as an indicator of hydrothermal alteration, and each type and intensity of hydrothermal alteration produces its own minerals. This study aims to determine the correlation between fault density, type, and intensity of hydrothermal alteration with gemstone distribution in the research area. Gemstone distribution is mapped geologically, marking the coordinates of gemstone mines. Fracture density is determined using remote sensing analysis to create a Fault Fracture Density (FFD) map. The type and intensity of hydrothermal alteration are identified through petrographic analysis. All acquired data are then correlated using the Pearson Correlation Method. The research results indicate that gemstones are distributed in altered pyroclastic rock units. The research area exhibits fault densities ranging from 0 to 204 up to 1225, oriented northwest-southeast and southwest-northeast. There are hydrothermal alterations of the argillic, outer propylitic, and inner propylitic types, with intensities ranging from weak (15%) to strong (62%). Based on correlation analysis, it is found that fault density has a very strong positive correlation of 0.86 with gemstone distribution. The type of hydrothermal alteration shows a very strong negative correlation of -0.96, indicating that gemstones are more commonly found in the argillic type with a formation environment characterized by lower pH and temperature compared to the propylitic type. The intensity of hydrothermal alteration also has a very strong positive correlation of 0.86 with gemstone distribution."

"ABSTRAK
Competition in furniture business is very tighten now. Though there are a lot of
Indonesian furniture producers and distributors, some players form foreign countries are
also expanding their market in this country. Today Olympic Group has four distribution
channels that contributing company?s revenue, those are: Traditional Retail Outlet
(TRO); Modern Retail Outlet (MRO) such as: Carrefour, Giant, Hypermart; Direct
Selling (DS) such as: OFAL, Mer, Furnimart; and Export. However Casmi realizes
that selling activity is not only the activity of selling product itself but also it has to
deliver value to all customers.
The existing distribution channels are not enough to increase market share and revenue
at all. As a market leader, Olympic should find another strategy to increase its revenue
through developing a new distribution channel in order to get competitive advantages.
This research focuses on how Olympic develops a new distribution channel as
another income by using Theory of Generic Strategy Process Model. The strategy
process model consists of four steps strategic analysis. The steps are Strategic Analysis,
Strategic Objectives, Strategic Definition, and Strategic Implementation.
The result of Generic Strategy Process Model is strategic business plan ? Developing
Distribution Channel through Web Store (E-Business) at Olympic Furniture ? or
furniture selling activity through the Internet. One of company?s consideration why
Olympic should sell furniture through the Internet, because it just enables to enlarge
internal resources that company has invested in ERP, and IFS information system in
2001. For the further discussion, some analytical data and facts will be presented in this
study."
