"Salah satu industri di bidang ritel yang mengalami pertumbuhan yang cukup pesat adalah perusahaan di bidang mainan anak. PT. XYZ menjadi salah satu pemain utama di sektor ritel mainan modern di Indonesia yang menyediakan beragam mainan edukatif bagi anak-anak. Pada salah satu toko PT. XYZ di Jakarta menunjukkan bahwa adanya peningkatan penjualan dari tahun 2021-2023. Namun perbandingan antara persediaan dan penjualan menunjukkan bahwa total persediaan melebihi total penjualan sehingga adanya kelebihan persediaan. Berdasarkan keadaan saat ini, tidak ada ketentuan pemesanan dan kapan waktu yang tepat untuk melakukan pemesanan kembali dengan memperhatikan karakteristik barang, jumlah persediaan yang ada dan sedang dipesan, serta frekuensi pemesanannya. Jika total persediaan melebihi penjualan, ini menunjukkan adanya penumpukan persediaan yang tidak diinginkan. Berdasarkan studi kasus yang ada, pada riset ini dilakukan penentuan parameter persediaan untuk kondisi kelebihan persediaan yang terjadi untuk mengurangi total biaya persediaan di salah satu toko PT. XYZ. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa riset ini dapat menurunkan total biaya persediaan sebesar 76,8%. Selain terjadinya penurunan pada biaya persediaan, terjadi penurunan kuantitas dan frekuensi pemesanan barang yang diharapkan bisa meminimalisir penumpukkan persediaan.

One of the industries in the retail sector that is experiencing quite rapid growth is companies in the children's toys sector. PT. XYZ is one of the main players in the modern toy retail sector in Indonesia which provides a variety of educational toys for children. At one of the PT. XYZ’s store in Jakarta shows that there is an increase in sales from 2021-2023. However, the comparison between inventory and sales of goods in one of the PT. XYZ’s store shows that total inventory exceeds total sales so there is excess inventory. Based on the current situation, there are no ordering provisions and when is the right time to reorder by taking into account the characteristics of the goods, the amount of inventory that is and is being ordered, and the ordering frequency. If total inventory exceeds sales, this indicates overstocking or overall unwanted inventory. Based on existing case studies, in this research, inventory parameters were determined for excess inventory conditions that occurred to reduce the total inventory costs in one of PT. XYZ’s store. The results show that this research can reduce total inventory costs by 76.8%. Apart from a decrease in inventory costs, there has been a decrease in the quantity and frequency of ordering goods which is expected to minimize inventory buildup."

"Retailing is an industry with high level of competition. It is a customer-based industry which depends on how it could be aware of what the customers needs and requirements are. One technique most used in supermarkets is the mix merchandise. The purpose of this paper is to identify associated products, which then grouped in mix merchandise with the use of market basket analysis. This association between products then will be applied in the design layout of the product in the supermarket. The process of identifying the related products bought together in one transaction is done by using data mining technique. Apriori algorithm is chosen as a method in the data mining process. Using WEKA (Waikato Environment for Knowledge Analysis) software, the association rule between products is calculated. The results found five category association rules and fourteen sub-category association rules. These associations then will be interpreted as confidence and support to become consideration for the product layout."

"Manajemen persediaan merupakan hal yang sangat penting dalam menjalankan suatu bisnis. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan kebijakan manajemen persediaan yang teratur sangat dibutuhkan agar perusahaan dapat mengatur ketersediaan produknya, sehingga produksi dan penjualan produknya dapat dilakukan dengan lancar dan tidak terhambat oleh kekurangan persediaan. Penerapan sistem kebijakan continuous review dapat membantu perusahaan dalam mengatur persediaanya melalui ukuran lot pemesanan barang dan titik pemesanan kembali. Sehingga pengadaan persediaan dapat berjalan dengan lancar. LMM merupakan jaringan retail dengan konsep wholesale yang menjual berbagai bahan makanan, pakaian, dan barang lainnya. LMM tidak memiliki data historis penjualan. Sehingga peramalan dan pemesanan barang masih berdasarkan expert judgement dan intuisi dari manajemen mereka. Hal tersebut menyebabkan terjadinya kekurangan dan kelebihan pada inventori yang menyebabkan besarnya total biaya persediaan yang dikeluarkan oleh toko. Dari permasalahan tersebut, kebijakan persediaan dikembangkan dengan menggunakan sistem continuous review (s,S) untuk kategori produk A dan sistem continuous review (s,Q) untuk kategori produk B dan C. Hasil dari penelitiaan ini akan didaptkan ukuran lot pemesanan, reorder point, dan safety stock. Dengan menggunakan metode continuous review review (s,S) didapatkan penghematan total biaya persediaan sebesar 66% dan dengan metode continuous reivew (s,Q) didapatkan penghematan total biaya persediaan sebesar 53%.

Inventory management is a very important factor in running a business. Therefore, a steady inventory management policy is needed so that the company can regulate the availability of its products, so that the production and sale of its products can be carried out smoothly and isnt hampered by the lack of inventory. The implementation of a continuous review policy system can help companies manage their supplies through the lot size of goods ordered and the reorder point. So that the inventory procurement can run smoothly. LMM is a retail network with a wholesale concept that sells a variety of food ingredients, clothing, and other goods. LMM currently does not have historical sales data. So forecasting and ordering of goods is still based on expert judgment and intuition from their management. This causes the shortage and excess inventory which causes the total inventory cost incurred by the store. From these problems, an inventory policy was developed using a continuous review system (s, S) for product category A and a continuous review system (s, Q) for product categories B and C. The results of this research will get the order lot size, reorder point, and safety stock. By using the continuous review (s, S) method, a total inventory cost savings of 66% is obtained and with the continuous review (s,Q) method, a total inventory cost savings of 53% is obtained."
