"The book discusses the demographic changes in Muslim countries. It thereby focuses on topics such as the demographic dividend and the demographic transition, labour market challenges, health care, universal education and gender issues. These challenges are addressed at a country level and include policy implications for the large majority of the Muslim countries covered in this book. Moreover, political consequences for Europe with respect to the integration of Muslims are presented."

This research aims to analyze the impact of population dynamics on environment measured by the size of CO2 emissions using the data of five ASEAN countries, which are Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand. The results of multilevel fixed effect method on the data of these five countries from 1970-2010 show that all the independent variables?population size, urbanization rate, proportion of working-age population, and share of industry in GDP?have positive impact on CO2 emissions. Proportion of working-age population has the strongest impact, while population size has the weakest impact. These results prove the impact of population dynamics on the environment."
