Median dosis radiasi
kumulatif berdasarkan kuesioner menunjukkan median 0,8 (0.1- 35.6) Gy. Hubungan
kali lipat (IK 95% 1.05-111.49, p=0.044). Sementara itu, kelompok proteksi tabir
radiasi 51-70% meningkatkan risiko katarak 8.64 kali lipat (p=0.001). Subyek yang
tidak memakai kacamata pelindung memiliki OR 164.3 (IK 95% 19.81-1363)
proteksi radiasi.

Objectives: to determine the prevalence of radiation-induced cataract and correlate
with radiation exposure dose and radiation protection use among radiation workers of
interventional cardiology.
Methods: A cross-sectional and retrospective case-control study. One hundred and
eighty subjects were included. Prevalence of radiation-induced cataract was assessed
using Scheimpflug analysis on the Pentacam®-Oculus. Individual cumulative
radiation exposure dose and radiation protection use of subjects were identified from
questionnaire and personal dosimeter.
Results: The prevalence of radiation-induced cataract was 16.7%. Median cumulative
radiation dose was 0.8 (0.1-35.6) Gy. A positive correlation was found between
cumulative radiation dose and lens density (RSpearman=0.64). This study showed that
83.9% of subjects used ceiling-suspended shield in 71-100% of their working period,
however the majority of subjects (40.6%) did not wear protective eyewear.
Statistically significant increasing risk of cataract was found along with unresponsive
use of radiation protection. The subjects using ceiling-suspended shield in 31-50% of
their working period were increasing their cataract risk by 10.80 times (95% CI 1.05-
111.49, p=0.044). Meanwhile, the subjects using protective eyewear in 51-70% of
their working period were increasing their cataract risk by 8.64 times (p=0.001).
Subjects who did not wear protective eyewear had an OR 164.3 (95% CI 19.81-1363)
compared to those who wore protective eyewear.
Conclusion: Radiation-induced cataract among radiation workers of interventional
cardiology was depend on radiation exposure dose and radiation protection.
Therefore, the compliance of radiation safety recommendation should be improved."

Dental radiology cannot be separated from the effects of radiation exposure. Radiology policies are needed to regulate the use of radiation equipment in health services. The government regulates radiology services in Indonesia through Regulation of Minister of Health Number 24 of 2020 to improve the quality of health services by paying attention to safety and security aspects which are organized based on the capabilities of health facilities including human resources and equipment. This study aims to analyze the implementation of Regulation of Minister of Health Number 24 of 2020 in dental care services, and to find out whether the policy can be implemented in General and Dental Hospitals. This research is a policy analysis with a qualitative approach through in-depth interviews and document review. The conceptual framework is based on various top down theories with the variables studied in the form of output, human resources, infrastructure, funding, organizational support, press attention, work culture, communication and bureaucratic structure. The results show that Regulation of Minister of Health Number 24 of 2020 cannot be implemented in Dental Hospitals because there are differences in needs with General Hospitals so that they are out of sync with the terminology and requirements stated in Regulation of Minister of Health Number 24 of 2020. Regulation of Minister of Health Number 24 of 2020 does not facilitate dental radiology specialists and equipment such as CBCT thus creating legal uncertainty. Work culture, communication and bureaucratic structure are not functioning as they should because the contents of the regulations are not conveyed to service providers. Support from organizations and press attention do not directly affect service delivery but are important in policy process. Review of the contents of Regulation of Minister of Health Number 24 of 2020 is needed, especially related to the aspects of policy effectiveness, clarity of policy formulation, and transparency."

Exposure to low dose ionising radiation (<0.5 Gy) can cause circulation disorders. It is not yet known whether exposure to low dose ionising radiation can cause hypertension. A 27-year-old male radiologist asked about the result of his periodic examinations in which written hypertension. He also said that in the previous year, his ECG examination resulted in no good, but he couldn’t remember what the cardiologist said. Does hypertension in radiology workers due to exposure to ionising radiation at work? The literature searches were conducted through PubMed, Scopus and Cochrane. A relevant article, which fitted the inclusion criteria, was found. A cohort study by Preetha R, et al (2015) suggested that there is a relationship between the risk of hypertension and FGIP exposure. This study is valid and applicable to my patient because the method is quite good and suitable. Also, the population in the study is similar to my patient. However, there was only one article found which might be due to the lack of research on this subject. Hence, the causal relationship still cannot be proven. Further research is recommended with a better measurement of exposure and outcome."
