"“Methods of Clinical Epidemiology” serves as a text on methods useful to clinical researchers. It provides a clear introduction to the common research methodology specific to clinical research for both students and researchers. This book sets out to fill the gap left by texts that concentrate on public health epidemiology and focuses on what is not covered well in such texts. The four sections cover methods that have not previously been brought together in one text and serves as a second level textbook of clinical epidemiology methodology. This book will be of use to postgraduate students in clinical epidemiology as well as clinical researchers at the start of their careers."

Diarrhea is a public health problem which is still the most common cause of death in Indonesia. According to 2017 IDHS data, the most common prevalence of diarrhea occurs in children aged 6-23 months, namely 19-20%. For comparison, in 2014, Cambodia was still one of the countries with the highest prevalence rate of diarrhea in children under the age of five among countries in Southeast Asia, namely 12.8%. Therefore, the aim of this research is to determine a comparative study analysis of factors related to the incidence of diarrhea in toddlers aged 0-59 months in Indonesia and Cambodia. This research data uses a cross sectional design with data from the 2017 SDKI and 2014 CDHS. Research results from Indonesia show that maternal education is the most influential factor in the incidence of diarrhea as indicated by the largest OR value of 1.305, meaning that mothers with low education have odds that are 1.305 times greater. to have children who experience diarrhea compared to mothers with higher education after controlling for other variables. Meanwhile in Cambodia, sanitation facilities are a factor that influences the incidence of diarrhea as shown by the largest OR value of 1.115, meaning that toddlers who live in families with inadequate sources of drinking water have 1.115 times greater odds of experiencing diarrhea than toddlers who live in families with inadequate drinking water sources. with a suitable drinking water source after being controlled by other variables. The conclusion shows that there is a significant relationship between diarrhea and maternal education, Breastfeed for the first 3 days post partum, vitamin A supplementation, sanitation facilities and sources of drinking water in Indonesia. Meanwhile in Cambodia, it shows that there is a significant relationship between the incidence of diarrhea and the age of the toddler, the gender of the toddler, history of exclusive breastfeeding, economic status, and source of drinking water."
