"The aim of this research is to analyze the implementation of Sustainable Competitive Advantage (SCA) as a strategy taken by PT Garuda Indonesia in facing the commercial flight business competition in Indonesia. This research adopted Boston Consulting Group (BCG) matrix theory and the SCA approach to identify the competitive position of Garuda among its competitors in the airline industry and to analyze the component of competitors, consisting familiarity towards its own product, familiarity towards competitors, familiarity towards the competitors’ product and the component of competition techniques comprising cost advantage, product differentiation, market focus, pioneering products and market synergy. The result of this research shows that competitive position of Garuda in the airline industry in Indonesia is in the star quadrant, possessing the growth of long run opportunities. The strategies that could be adopted were forward integration, backward integration, horizontal integration, market penetration, market development and product development. Therefore it could be concluded that the SCA concept could be adopted as the marketing strategy of Garuda. The optimal adoption of the SCA concept as the marketing strategy that possessed the sustainable competition requires mending and improvement of such strategies as market synergy, human resources development and the market extension.

Safety culture is a sub of organizational culture / company that is used to declare value , attitude that becomes behavior , perception, and belief that is owned in a company related safety. The concept of safety culture was first established after an explosion at the chernobyl nuclear reactor in 1986. In this research , the author will analyze the implementation of work safety culture in oil and gas companies, namely PT. JHH. Based on review of work accident data (2014-Jun 2018) there were 63% aspects of Unsafe act being the dominant factor as causes of accident.
Based on field observation, it is suspected that there were possible different implementation of work safety culture among these workers , young and experienced workers, permanent workers and contract workers, field workers and office workers. From these data, the author put attention to work on analyzing the profile of work safety culture in general and in the categories of workers. The research applied in this study is a mixed methods study, where some data will be calculated quantitatively and some will be interpreted qualitatively.
This study uses descriptive analysis with in-depth study. The method used to analyze aspects of this safety culture is the method of safety climate level (SCL) and safety culture maturity model (SCMM). The SCL method uses a questionnaire distributed online by involving 145 respondents (20% of the population) with stratified random sampling techniques and the SCMM method using Focus group discussion (FGD) techniques involving 103 respondents.
The results of the analysis with the SCL found that the profile of the work culture in general is 8.07 where it can be interpreted that workers` perceptions of the values of safety have been internalized well within workers both as individuals, groups and organizations. The results of the analysis with the SCMM found that the work culture profile in general is 3.99, which is at the proactive level (3.5-4.4). This can be interpreted as an active involvement of workers and providing initiatives in the prevention of things that are not desirable and in improving aspects of K3. From the results of statistical calculations it can be concluded that there is no difference in the application of a significant work safety culture between young vs. experienced workers (I (0,149) > 0,05), field vs. office workers (I (0,147) > 0,05) and permanent and contract workers (I(0,771) > 0,05).
