"W-Two Worlds merupakan drama Korea yang bercerita mengenai webtoon yang ada di  Korea Selatan, tokoh utamanya melakukan pencarian jati diri dan perlawanan atas takdir yang ada di dalam kehidupannya. Oleh karena itu, penulis menganalisis unsur eksistensialisme untuk memahami tokoh Kang Chul pada drama W - Two Worlds. Kang Chul yang memiliki konflik diri dan krisis identitas akibat kehilangan keluarganya menjadi faktor utama bagaimana eksistensialisme ada. Dengan metode kualitatif, penulis menyelami masalah terkait dengan menonton drama beberapa kali dan mengambil adegan terkait. Kemudian adegan yang telah dipilih oleh penulis dianalisis keterkaitannya dengan eksistensialisme dari sudut pandang beberapa tokoh eksistensialisme. Tindakan tokoh Kang Chul yang merepresentasikan suatu bentuk eksistensialisme diperlihatkan secara eksplisit melalui beberapa dialog dan adegan yang ada di dalamnya. Tindakannya dalam menentang maut yang diberikan oleh penciptanya sebagai bentuk upaya melawan takdir telah mengubah eksistensinya dari wujud être en soi menjadi wujud yang être pour soi. Upaya dari perlawanan Kang Chul atas takdirnya merupakan negasi yang ada pada wujud awalnya,  être en soi. Kang Chul yang menjalani kehidupannya sebagai makhluk être pour soi memiliki kehidupan yang dinamis dan berubah-ubah layaknya seorang manusia yang nyata wujudnya. Sebagai seorang tokoh utama dari sebuah kartun, Kang Chul berbeda dari tokoh kartun pada umumnya yakni memiliki tindakan eksistensialisme dalam menjalani kehidupannya.

W-Two Worlds is a Korean drama that tells the story of a webtoon in South Korea, the main character doing a search for identity and resistance to the destiny in his life. Therefore, the authors analyze the element of existentialism to understand the character of Kang Chul in the drama W-Two Worlds. Kang Chul who has a self-conflict and identity crisis due to the loss of his family is a major factor in how existentialism exists. With qualitative methods, the writer will explore the problems associated with watching the drama several times and taking related scenes. Then the scene chosen by the author is analyzed in relation to existentialism from the point of view of some existentialism figures. Kang Chul actions that represent a form of existentialism are shown explicitly through several dialogues and scenes in it. His actions in opposing death given by his creator as an effort to fight destiny have changed their existence from the form of être en soi to the form that is être pour soi. The effort of Kang Chul is opposition to his destiny is a negation that was in its original form, être en soi. Kang Chul who lives his life as a creature être pour soi has a dynamic and changing life like a real human being. As a main character of a cartoon, Kang Chul is different from the general cartoon character who has an existentialism in living his life."

"Fenomena migrasi dalam karya sastra multikultural merupakan sebuah tema yang menarik untuk diteliti. Dalam Penelitian ini, penulis tesis mencoba menganalisis karya Zeny Giles: Between Two Worlds dan Miracle of the Waters, untuk menemukan masalah-masalah dislokasi yang timbul akibat migrasi dan kontak budaya migran Yunani generasi pertama di Australia. Lewat kedua karya itu pun, penulis tesis ini ingin menampilkan teori Sneja Gunew tentang model budaya yang timbul akibat pertemuan budaya antara budaya migran dengan budaya Anglo-Keltik Australia. Penelitian ini dilakukan antara lain lewat unsur tokoh dan penokohan.Dari hasil penelitian ini, penulis tesis ini menemukan bahwa masalah-masalah dislokasi yang dialami oleh tokoh-tokoh raigran Yunani generasi pertama dalam Between Two Worlds dan Miracle of the Waters, adalah tentang bentrok budaya, krisis identitas, alienasi, marginalisasi, dan sinkretisme budaya. Masalah-masalah tersebut mengakibatkan mereka merasa terasing, marginal, dan inferior.Between Two Worlds dan Miracle of the Waters juga menunjukkan perkembangan sikap Zeny Giles sebagai pengarang sastra multikultural tentang migran Yunani generasi pertama di Australia. Between Two Worlds termasuk "karya imigran", menampilkan model budaya nostalgia. Sedangkan Miracle of the Waters termasuk "karya multikultural", yang menampilkan model budaya asimilasi.Lewat Between Two Worlds, pengarang menampilkan, khususnya, tokoh-tokoh migran Yunani generasi pertama yang menghadapi masalah-masalah dislokasi. Kemudian, pada Miracle of the Waters, pengarang menampilkan tokoh-tokoh migran Yunani generasi pertama dan juga tokoh-tokoh migran lain khususnya yang berasal dari negara-negara di kawasan Eropa Timur dan Selatan. Di sini, jelas adanya perkembangan sikap pengarang dalam menampilkan masalah-masalah dislokasi. Lewat Miracle of the Waters, pengarang menunjukkan bahwa masalah-masalah dislokasi merupakan masalah bersama yang dialami dan dihadapi kelompok migran yang berlatar belakang budaya non-Anglo-Keltik di dalam masyarakat multikultural Australia.

Migration phenomenon is an interesting theme of multicultural literature research. In this thesis, this writer analyses Zeny Giles's works: Between Two Words and Miracle of the Waters, to depict the problems of dislocation caused by migration and culture contact of the first generation of Greek migrant in Australia. Through both works, this writer would also like to put forward Sneja Gunew's theory about the models of culture.

After analyzing those works, this writer discovers that the problems of dislocation experienced by the first generation of Greek migrant about culture conflict, crisis of identity, alienation, marginalisation, and cultural sincreticism. Those problems make them feel alienated, marginal, and inferior.

Between Two Worlds and Miracle of the Wafers are also expressing of Zeny Giles's observation as an author of multicultural literature about the first generation of Greek migrant living in Australia. Between Two World, a "migrant writing", presents the model of nostalgia, whereas Miracle of the Waters which is a "multicultural writing", presents the-model of assimilation.

Through Between Two Worlds, the author describes, in particular, the characters of first generation of Greek migrant who are facing the problems of dislocation. Then, through Miracle of the Waters, She does not only describe the characters of first generation of Greek migrant but also includes the characters of migrants of non-Anglo-Celtic culture background, especially the migrants from East and South European Countries. They face together the problems of dislocation living in Australia. Through Miracle of the Waters, the author indicates that the problems of dislocation have also been the problems of the non-Anglo-Celtic migrant communities within the multicultural Australian Society."
