"ABSTRAKPenelitian ini membahas mengenai konflik rumah tangga dalam novel karya perempuan Israel. Korpus yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah sebuah novel yang berjudul The Beauty Queen of Jerusalem karya Sarit Yishai Levi asal Israel. Tujuan dipilihnya konflik Rumah tangga dalam penelitian ini adalah mengetahui bagaimana konflik rumah tangga yang digambarkan dalam novel yang diusung oleh novelis Israel. Dalam penelitian ini, selain digunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif, yang analisisnya mengarah kepada pendeskripsian secara rinci novel tersebut, juga digunakan pendekatan obyektif, dan pendekatan struktural. Adapun, teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori tentang analisis unsur-unsur intrinsik dalam menganalis tokoh, penokohan, alur, latar dan amanat yang digunakan untuk melihat satuan isi cerita yang terdapat dalam novel tersebut dan teori tentang isotopi yang digunakan untuk melihat keberkaitan makna antara isi cerita tersebut. Dari hasil penelitian terhadap novel tersebut ditemukan bahwa konflik rumah tangga dalam novel The Beauty Queen of Jerusalem menggambarkan keadaaan konflik rumah tangga berbeda-beda yang dialami oleh keluarga keturunan Sheparadic selama empat generasi.

ABSTRACTThis study discusses domestic conflict in a novel by Israeli women. The corpus used in this study is novel entitled The Beauty Queen of Jerusalem by Sarit Yishal Levi from Israel. The purpose of choosing domestic conflict in this study was to find out how the domestic conflict was described in the novel carried by Israeli novelists. In this study, besides using descriptive qualitative method, whose analysis leads to the detailed description of the novel, using an objective approach, and a structural approach are also used. Meanwhile, the theory used in this study is the theory of the analysis of intrinsic elements in analyzing the characters, characterization, plot, background and moral of the story used to see the unit of content of the stories contained in the novel and the isotope theory used to see the relationship between the story content. The results of this study of the novel found that domestic conflicts in the novel The Beauty Queen of Jerusalem described the different circumstance of domestic conflict experienced by the Sherapadic Family of four generations."
