"Skripsi ini membahas bagaimana anime Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi mengglobal melalui aspek ideoscapes dan mediascapes. Pembahasan ini menggunakan konsep globalisasi yang dikemukakan oleh Arjun Appadurai. Penelitian ini difokuskan kepada anime Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi serta menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan teknik deskripsi analisis. Faktor utama dari mengglobalnya anime ini dan menjadi daya tarik bagi bagi penonton adalah karena adanya aspek mediascapes dan ideoscapes di dalam anime Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menjabarkan aspek ideoscapes dan mediascapes dalam teori globalisasi Appadurai yang ada dalam anime Sen to Chihiro yang membuatnya mengglobal.

This thesis is made to examine how anime Chihiro no Kamikakushi globalized through ideoscapes and mediascapes aspect.This study utilize globalization concept presented by Arjun Appadurai. This research is mainly focused to Anime Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi as well as qualitative method with analytical description technique. Penulisan ini difokuskan dalam imaji kawaii hello kitty dengan deskriptif analisis. Kawaii guzzu Hello Kitty dapat mengglobal karena imaji kawaii yang ada pada karakter Hello kitty memiliki daya tarik melalui nilai universal. Nilai universal itu terdiri dari happiness, escapism, nostalgia, dan leisure. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menjabarkan imaji kawaii yang bernilai universal dalam kawaii guzzu hello kitty dapat mengglobal di dunia.

This thesis is made to examine about hello kitty's character in kawaii guzzu hello kitty globalized through ideoscapes and mediascapes aspect. This research is mainly focused in kawaii image of hello kitty by analyctical description. "This paper discusses the relevance of culture theories for understanding globalization and cultural change taking place in Indonesia. The issue of globalization and cultural change has recently figured prominently in various discourses in Indonesia, especially in relation to the question of how Indonesia's cultural identities should be maintained in the face of such a global process. This paper argues that the contemporary culture theory can help us understand such concepts as national culture and identity not as a static, essentialist entity, but rather as a dynamic social construction that is continuously reproduced and innovated by individual subjects.
