"ABSTRAKPenelitian ini membahas intervensi pemerintah Korea Selatan dalam mengatasi krisis finansial yang melanda pada tahun 1997. Pemerintah Korea Selatan memiliki cara tersendiri dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan tersebut sehingga Korea Selatan dapat dengan cepat terlepas dari krisis. Oleh sebab itu, pertanyaan utama dari penelitian ini adalah bagaimana cara pemerintah dalam menangani krisis finansial di Korea Selatan. Isu ini menarik untuk diteliti karena pada saat itu, Korea Selatan menerapkan sistem ekonomi market oriented, dengan adanya intervensi dari pemerintah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi faktor-faktor kompleks pada isu tersebut. Dalam penelitian ini, digunakan teori developmental state dan konsep intervention policy. Tujuan dibuatnya penelitian ini adalah untuk membuktikan bahwa intervensi pemerintah dalam perekonomian dapat memberikan dampak positif bagi Korea Selatan. Karena pada pemerintahan sebelumnya, adanya intervensi tersebutlah yang menimbulkan krisis finansial.

ABSTRAKThis study discusses the South Korean government 39 s intervention in overcoming the financial crisis that struck in 1997. The South Korean government has its own way of solving the problem so that South Korea can quickly escape the crisis. Therefore, the main question of this study is how the government handles the financial crisis in South Korea. This issue is interesting to examine because at that time, South Korea implemented a market oriented market economy, with the intervention of the government. This study uses qualitative methods to explore the complex factors on the issue. This research use developmental state theory and concept of intervention policy. The purpose of this study is to prove that government intervention in the economy can have a positive impact on the country. Because in the previous era, the existence of government intervention is the cause of the financial crisis."

"Seiring dengan popularitas Korean Wave yang terus tumbuh, kini telah memasuki fase baru yang biasa disebut Hallyu 2.0 atau New Korean Wave yang menandakan penggunaan media sosial sebagai media distribusi utamanya. Makalah ini menunjukkan bagaimana media sosial digunakan untuk meningkatkan soft power Korea Selatan di era New Korean Wave dengan melakukan ringkasan komprehensif dari jurnal akademik dan bukubuku yang berhubungan dengan topik tersebut. Karena popularitasnya yang semakin meningkat, Korean Wave terbukti menjadi sumber daya budaya yang dapat meningkatkan soft power Korea Selatan dan media sosial telah berhasil membantu budaya populer Korea untuk menembus pasar global.As the popularity of Korean Wave continuously grows, it has now entered a new commonly referred as Hallyu 2.0 or the New Korean Wave denoting the use of social media as its main medium of distribution. This paper shows how social media is being used to enhance South Korean soft power in the era of the New Korean Wave by undertaking a comprehensive summary from academic journals and books correlating with the topic. Due to its intensifying popularity outbreak, Korean Wave is proven to be a cultural resource that can increase South Korea`s soft power and social media have successfully aiding Korean popular culture to penetrate the global market."
