"Monetary crisis, which leads to unstable economic condition, has caused a number of banks being liquidated. This research is conducted by using major accounting ratios in order to identify the characteristics of liquidated and restructured banks, of which are listed in Jakarta Stock Exchange. The growth of bank industry was highly related with Paket Oktober 1988. This condition is marked by increasing number of banks, from 40 companies in 1988 to 240 companies in 1994. This research is conducted based on a three period financial information, commencing 1994 to 1996. Proven hypothesis concludes that the number of restructured banks is greater than of liquidated banks. On the other hand, the hypothesis related to leverage and gain has failed to be proven. However, the big sample that can be analyzed through box plot may be the caused to this result."

ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study is to identify the impact of third party funds, average lending rate of working capital, non performing loan (NPL), and gross domestic regional products (GDRP) to affect credit supply of Rural Regional Bank and the affect of gross domestic regional product (GDRP), region?s inflation, and average lending rate of working capital affect the credit demand of Rural Regional Bank. This study using panel data method and regression with random effect model from model possibility of the region and time differences. The study proved that third party funds, average lending rate of working capital, NPL, and GDRP simultaneously having significant affect on the credit supply. Then GDRP, region?s inflation, and average lending rate of working capital simultaneously affect the credit demand.;The purpose of this study is to identify the impact of third party funds, average lending rate of working capital, non performing loan (NPL), and gross domestic regional products (GDRP) to affect credit supply of Rural Regional Bank and the affect of gross domestic regional product (GDRP), region?s inflation, and average lending rate of working capital affect the credit demand of Rural Regional Bank. Terdapat dua belas variabel yang dijadikan prediktor yaitu current ratio, equity ratio, return on assets, interest coverage ratio, net liabilities coverage ratio, sales growth, EBITDA on revenues, net working capital, cash flow to current liabilities, ukuran perusahaan, kepemi1ikan dan umur perusahaan.

The objective of this thesis is to identify financial and non financial factors which have influences on the probability of nonperforming loans (NPLs). There arc twelve variables as predictors namely current ratio, equity ratio, return on assets, interest coverage ratio, net liabilities coverage ratio, sales growth, EBITDA on revenues, net working capital, cash flow to current liabilities, company size, ownership and company age. The research ls conducled by using a hundred samples of middle and commercial debtors at Bank XYZ. The statistical tests are conducted by using logit regression method. The model tests show that the better the liquidity and profitability and the bigger the company size; the lower the probability of nonperforming loans."
