"Beberapa kesalahan masih dapat ditemukan dalam hasil terjemahan mesin, meskipun mesin penerjemahan didesain untuk menyetarai kemampuan penerjemah profesional. Dengan peluang penggunaan mesin penerjemahan yang besar dalam bidang pariwisata, turis dapat memilih mesin penerjemah berbasis tulisan maupun gambar. Penelitian ini bertujuan menentukan yang mana yang lebih baik di antara mesin penerjemah berbasis tulisan, Google Translate dan berbasis gambar, Google Lens Translate untuk teks pariwisata. Dengan menerapkan metode kualitatif, kajian ini didasari oleh konsep kesalahan penerjemahan Koponen (2010) dan konsep metode penerjemahan Newmark (1988) untuk menyelidiki kualitas akurasi mesin penerjemah melalui tingkat keberterimaan makna dinilai dari cara mesin menerjemahkan dan kecenderungan jenis kesalahan. Berdasarkan analisis, ditemukan bahwa Google Translate lebih akurat dan lebih aman untuk pariwisata atas dominasi hasil terjemahan dengan metode penerjemahan setia (faithful). Sejalan dengan Newmark (1988), penerapan metode penerjemahan tersebut menghasilkan terjemahan yang lebih berterima dari segi semantik khususnya dalam hal konteks. Sementara itu, kerumitan proses bahasa ilmiah penerjemahan Google Lens Translate yang berbasis gambar mengurangi akurasinya jika dibandingkan dengan Google Translate yang berbasis tulisan.

Some errors can still be found in Machine Translation results, even though Machine Translation is designed to match the capabilities of professional translators. With great opportunities for use of machine translation in the tourism sector, tourists can select text- based or image-based Machine Translation. This study aims to determine which one is better between the text-based Machine Translation (Google Translate) and the image- based one (Google Lens Translate) for tourism purposes. Applying a qualitative method, this study is based on Koponen's (2010) concept of translation errors and the Newmark's (1988) translation method concept to investigate the quality of machine translation accuracy through the level of translation acceptability assessed from the way the machine translates and the types of errors. Based on the analysis, it was found that Google Translate is more accurate and appropriate for tourism, shown from the majority of translation results using faithful translation methods. In line with Newmark (1988), the application of the translation method results in a translation that is more acceptable from a semantic perspective, especially in terms of context. Meanwhile, the complexity of the image-based Google Lens Translate's natural language process reduces its accuracy when compared to text-based Google Translate."

"ABSTRAKTesis ini mengkaji tentang teks Serat Kangsa Adu-Adu Macapat koleksi perpustakaan Reksapustaka Pura Mangkunegaran Surakarta. Teks ini termasuk karya sastra Jawa berkategori cerita wayang. Fokus kajian ini terbagi menjadi dua. Pertama kajian filologis yaitu menyajikan edisi teks Serat Kangsa Adu-Adu Macapat yang telah dibersihkan dari kesalahan dan diterjemahkan sehingga kandungannya dapat dipahami oleh masyarakat masa sekarang. Kedua secara kesastraan, memfokuskan genre teks yang berbentuk puisi tradisional Jawa atau macapat yang digunakan di dalam teks melalui metrum-metrumnya tersusun dalam rangkaian pupuh menggambarkan watak atau karakter tembang. Metrum macapat yang terdapat di dalam teks yaitu Asmaradana berwatak keprihatinan, kesedihan, nelangsa, kebahagiaan, dan kasmaran; Sinom berwatak menggebu-gebu, antusias, cekatan, lincah; Pangkur berwatak memuncak: puncak amarah, puncak rasa cinta, Pocung berwatak santai, jenaka, sendau gurau, dan tidak terlalu serius; Durma berwatak menggurui: peyampaian perintah, curahan perasaan marah, sedih; Mijil berwatak nasihat, himbauan, perencanaan; Dhandhanggula berwatak lentur, senang, sedih; Gambuh berwatak akrab, dekat; Kinanthi berwatak asih, bahagia, bersama, bergandengan.

ABSTRACT This research examines the text of Sêrat Kangsa Adu-Adu Macapat from the collection of the Reksapustaka Pura Mangkunegaran Surakarta library. This text includes Javanese literary works categorized wayang stories. The focuses of this study is divided into two. The first philological study is presenting the edition of the text of Sêrat Kangsa Adu-Adu Macapat which has been cleansed of mistakes and translated so that its contents can be understood by nowadays society. Second literally, focusing on the genre of text in the form of traditional Javanese poetry or macapat used in the text through the metrums arranged in a series of pupuh depicting the character of the song. The macapat metrum contained in the text of Asmaradana is of concerned, sadness, misfortune, happiness, and love; Sinom is passionate, enthusiastic, nimble, lively; Pangkur is peaked: the peak of anger, the peak of love, Pocung relaxed character, witty, pleasantry, and not too serious; Durma is patronizing: commanding orders, outbursts of anger, sadness; Mijil has the character of advices, appeal, planning; Dhandhanggula is flexible, happy, sad; Gambuh is familiar, close; Kinanthi has a loving, happy, shared character, hand in hand."
