"Dalam jurnal ini, penulis membahas tentang kehidupan komunitas Belanda Depok pada masa pra kemerdekaan Republik Indonesia dimulai dari masa Cornelis Chastelein sebagai tuan tanah Depok dengan pendekatan-pedekatan ilmu Sosiologi. Pokok bahasan pada jurnal ini yaitu tentang kehidupan awal kaum Belanda Depok yang merupakan keturunan para budak yang dimerdekakan oleh tuan tanahnya yang bernama Cornelis Chastelein; kehidupan rohani komunitas Belanda Depok sebagai umat kristiani yang taat, dan acara-acara perayaan di Depok seperti Perayaan Sinterklaas (Sinterklaas Dag), Perayaan Wilhelmina (Wilhelmina Dag atau Koninginnedag), Perayaan Cornelis Chastelein, serta Natal dan Tahun Baru; interaksi sosial yang terjadi berikut faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan terjadinya interaksi sosial; dan sosialisasi sekunder yang terjadi pada komunitas Belanda Depok seperti desosialisasi dan resosialisasi.

On this article, writer is about to analyze the life's of Belanda Depok community before the independence day of Indonesia, started from the period of Cornelis Chastelein, the landlord of Depok, which used the sociology pattern. The main idea of this article is talking about the early life of this Belanda Depok's people, that use to be servants and Chastelein set them free, such as they were a really great Christian and followed all patterns on it, the celebration of Sinterklaas Day, Wilhelmina's Day, Chastelein's Day, and also Christmas and New Year; the social interaction and all its factors behind: and the second socialization that happened to this Belanda Depok community such de-socialization and re-socialization."

"Sufis in Aceh, historically, had shown its real action in their daily life in relation to both vertical and horizontal. For vertical relations, the followers performed any Sufi practice leading them to their God. For horizontal relationship, they protected and defended their society and state by performing jihad against the Dutch as colonizers and infidels for them. There are at Ieast three factors influenced Sufis actions to be more attractive. First, the condition of Acehnese sultanate became weak. Second, the Dutch seemed eagerly to expand their colonial territory to Aceh. Third, the Acehnese had already kept in touch with other Muslims in Arabia since the Islam coming to this area. This article elaborates in detail on this matter by using primary sources from manuscripts and archives. Besides, secondary sources are also referred for comperation."
