"Indonesian bale desa (village halls) are traditionally seen as public service centres for rural communities. For the people living in Tengger, East Java, Indonesia, village halls play a dual role as public service centres and venues where villagers observe and preserve age-old customs in which women’s leadership is of paramount importance. This study aims to identify the local values related to women’s hard work and adroitness in maintaining the continuity of customs and tradition, and analyse the way Tengger women exercise their leadership in village halls and the contributions they make to the preservation of local culture. This research uses a field research design, which relies on the participant observational data collection in the villages in Tosari Subdistrict, Pasuruan Regency, East Java. The outcomes of the study show that the bale desa is a functional and vital customary instrument in the preservation of tradition thanks to women’s leadership and managerial roles. The important position of women in the bale desa’s public space has guaranteed the preservation of local values which are deeply rooted in the spirit of cooperation, hard work, and solidarity"

"ABSTRAK
Indonesia dihadapkan dengan sistem demokrasi yang belum mampu berjalan dengan semestinya. Sumber daya manusia yang tidak dipersiapkan berdampak pada realitas demokrasi tersebut. Mahasiswa adalah sumber daya manusia yang memiliki potensi besar dalam membawa Indonesia ke arah perubahan, sehingga perlu dipersiapkan generasi penerus dalam pendekatan kepemimpinan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengatahui bagaimana pemimpin KAMMI Wilayah Jawa Barat menjalankan kepemimpinan transformasional dalam versi Bass kepada pengikutnya. Metode deskriptif analisis digunakan dalam penelitian ini dengan pendekatan kualitatif, data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dan studi leteratur. Hasil analisis menemukan bahwa KAMMI Wilayah Jawa Barat menjalankan kepemimpinan dengan memunculkan tiga dimensi yang dibawakan oleh Bass yaitu individual considerational, inspirational motivation serta idealized influence. Hasil penelitian menunjukan perlunya penerapan dimensi kepemimpinan transformasional secara seimbang, serta memberanikan untuk membudayakan kepemimpinan transformasional dalam organisasi baik di tingkat pemimpin dan bidang-bidang, harapanya mampu memberikan pengaruh positif bagi iklim organisasi.

ABSTRACT
Indonesia is faced with a democratic system that has not been able to walk properly. Human resources are not prepared impact on the democratic reality. Students are resources that have great potential in bringing Indonesia to the direction of change, so the need to prepared in the next generation of leadership approach. This study aims to determine how leaders in KAMMI Jawa Barat practice transformational leadership in Bass version of his followers. Descriptive analysis method used in this study with a qualitative approach, the data was gathered with interviews and studies leteratur. The analysis finds that KAMMI Jawa Barat practice leadership appear to have three dimensions presented by Bass, that is Individual consideration, inspirational motivation and idealized influence. The results showed the need for the implementation of transformational leadership dimensions in a balanced way, and encouraged to cultivate transformational leadership in organizations both at the level of leadership and fields, hopes able to positively influence the climate of the organization."

"Penelitian ini menyajikan kondisi keterikatan kerja di kalangan tenaga kesehatan di pulau Jawa dan Bali dalam melakukan pekerjaannya. Keluhan yang ditujukan kepada tenaga kesehatan atas kurangnya pelayanan yang diberikan di fasilitas kesehatan di tujuh provinsi pada pulau Jawa dan Bali. Penelitian ini akan membahas beberapa variabel yang mempengaruhi keterikatan kerja tenaga kesehatan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode empiris untuk melihat pengaruh kepemimpinan transformasional pimpinan fasilitas kesehatan, modal psikologis tenaga kesehatan, dan kondisi mindfulness tenaga kesehatan dalam melakukan pekerjaannya, yang mana variabel-variabel tersebut dikaitkan dengan mediator kepuasan kerja. Data penelitian dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan kuesioner  dan didapatkan 495 responden. Namun data yang dapat digunakan adalah sebanyak 429 sampel akibat adanya data yang tidak sempurna sehingga tidak dapat digunakan dalam penelitian. Data yang terhimpun dianalisis menggunakan metode Covariance-Based Structural Equation Modeling (CB-SEM) dengan aplikasi LISREL 8.8. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan antara variabel-variabel tersebut dengan keterikatan kerja petugas kesehatan. Temuan ini dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan keterikatan kerja mereka dengan mengeksplorasi lebih dalam penggunaan kepemimpinan transformasional, modal psikologis, dan mindfulness yang mengarah pada kepuasan kerja dan pada akhirnya meningkatkan keterikatan tenaga kesehatan itu sendiri dan layanan yang diberikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan job satisfaction mempengaruhi work engagement serta menjadi variabel mediasi yang mempengaruhi hubungan antara transformational leadership, psychological capital dan mindfulness. Psychological capital secara positif mempengaruhi work engagement tenaga kesehatan. Penelitiani ini memberikan wawasan dan informasi terkait dengan efek dari faktor eksternal dan internal terhadap keterikatan kerja dan kepuasan kerja dan bagaimana melakukan optimalisasi dari faktor eksternal dan internal untuk meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan pada fasilitas pelayanan kesehatan yang terletak di Pulau Jawa dan Bali.


This study presents the condition of work engagement among health workers in Java and Bali Island in doing their jobs. Complaints against health workers for the lack of services provided at health facilities in seven provinces on the islands of Java and Bali. This study will discuss several variables that affect the work engagement of health workers. This research uses empirical methods to see the influence of transformational leadership of health facility leaders, psychological capital of health workers, and the state of mindfulness of health workers in doing their work, which these variables are associated with the mediator of job satisfaction. The research data was collected using a questionnaire and 495 respondents were obtained. However, the data that can be used is 429 samples due to imperfect data that cannot be used in research. The collected data were analyzed using the Covariance-Based Structural Equation Modeling (CB-SEM) method with the LISREL 8.8 application. The results showed a relationship between these variables and health workers' work engagement. The findings can be used to improve their work engagement by exploring more deeply the use of transformational leadership, psychological capital, and mindfulness that lead to job satisfaction and ultimately improve the engagement of health workers themselves and the services provided. The results showed that job satisfaction influences work engagement as well as being a mediating variable that affects the relationship between transformational leadership, psychological capital and mindfulness. Psychological capital positively affects the work engagement of health workers. This study provides insight and information related to the effects of external and internal factors on work engagement and job satisfaction and how to optimize external and internal factors to improve service quality in health care facilities located in Java and Bali.

"Pembinaan dan latihan melalui sekolah olahraga bertujuan untuk meningkatkan prestasi atlit. Peningkatan prestasi pada atlit SMAN Olahraga Jawa Timur yang belum optimal terdapat sejumlah faktor yang berkorelasi dengan peningkatan prestasi atlit. Kepemimpinan sebagai suatu proses berkomunikasi dan interaksi sosial yang saling mempengaruhi di antara unsur-unsur pimpinan dengan unsur staf atau guru maupun pelatih. Faktor kemampuan atlit yang relatif rendah, semakin menghambat dalam peningkatan prestasi. Sedangkan Motivasi merupakan suatu dorongan keinginan, kebutuhan atau harapan atlit dalam berprestasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kepemimpinan, kemampuan dan motivasi terhadap prestasi atlit di UPT SMAN Olahraga Jawa Timur.
Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah mixed methods. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 100 atlit. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan kuesioner dan wawancara. Pengolahan data menggunakan bantuan dari program SPSS versi 22. Pengaruh dari variabel Kepemimpinan, Kemampuan, dan Motivasi terhadap Prestasi adalah sebesar 56,1%. Adanya faktor kesehatan yang menghambat aktifitas atlit untuk berlatih karena tidak terpenuhinya kebutuhan atlit seperti suplemen untuk mendukung kondisi fisik atlit. Faktor lain yang berpengaruh terhadap prestasi atlit yaitu budaya organisasi. Harapan dari kepala sekolah tidak seimbang dengan kondisi yang ada di sekolah. Selain itu, Pihak dari pusat tidak pernah melakukan pengamatan langsung terhadap atlit.

Coaching and training through sports schools programs have the purpose or aims to improve the performance of the athletes. Improvement of achievement in high school athletes in East Java who have not been optimal there are a number of factors that correlate with an increase in the athletes achievement at the school. Leadership as a process of communication and social interaction that affect each other, along with other elements have the potential to become the factor which affect the students achievement. The skill factor of the athletes which are relatively low, inhibits the improvement in their achievement. While Motivation is form an encouragement towards their desire, needs or expectations of athletes in achievement. This study was conducted to determine the effect of leadership, ability and motivation on the achievements of athletes at the UPT of Public High School of Sport in East Java.
The method used is a mixture of several methods. The research samples are 100 athletes. The data was collected through questionnaires and interviews. The Data is the processed through the SPSS version 22 program. The effect of the Leadership, Skills, and Motivation on the students Achievement was 56.1%. The existence of health factors which might inhibit the activities of athletes to practice their exercise according to their needs such as nutrition or supplements to support the physical condition of athletes. Other factors that influence athlete achievement are organizational culture. The expectations from school principals are not in line with the conditions of the school. In addition, officials have never made direct observations towards the athletes.
