"South Korea has attained spectacular economic success in recent decades. It has reached the status of a Newly Advanced Economy, with challenges increasingly mirroring those faced by other advanced economies. These include the necessary upgrading of the labor force, the frictions of switching to a national system of innovation adapted to leadership in R&D, market-based economic policies that reflect the government’s difficulties in foreseeing future technological developments, and the consequences of social change for the innovation system and policy-making. In the forthcoming book the parallel challenges for innovation and technology for the Republic of Korea and other advanced economies will be analyzed more thoroughly with an international perspective in mind. This comparison and international benchmarking will allow policy makers and scholars to better appreciate how much the country has already moved into the circle of globally leading economies and what can be done to consolidate and strengthen its position."

The increasing importance of digital competitiveness in strengthening economic resilience has become a crucial issue for countries in the Asia-Pacific region, especially in the context of rapid technological advancements and global economic uncertainties. Keywords: Economic resilience, Digital competitiveness, Knowledge, Technology, Future readiness, Indonesia, Asia-Pacific. This study aims to examine the influence of digital competitiveness on economic resilience in the Asia-Pacific region, comparing Indonesia with other countries. The methodology used is a quantitative approach with factor analysis and panel data regression. The data used includes digital competitiveness indicators from the IMD World Competitiveness Center and economic resilience indicators from various official sources. Data collection was conducted through literature review and secondary data collection. Data analysis was carried out using factor analysis and panel data regression to test the influence of knowledge, technology, and future readiness on digital competitiveness and its impact on economic resilience. The findings of the study indicate that in the Asia-Pacific region, the factors used by the IMD World Competitiveness Center to indicate digital competitiveness are less suitable, as factor analysis results show that only two factors are formed from each indicator. It was also found that digital competitiveness significantly enhances economic resilience across the Asia-Pacific region. Countries with higher investments in education, training, and digital skills development demonstrate stronger economic resilience. The study also highlights that the development of infrastructure, regulatory frameworks, and adaptive attitudes are crucial in supporting digital competitiveness. Based on the research findings, it is recommended that policymakers in the Asia-Pacific region increase investments in digital education and training, improve technological infrastructure, and implement policies that support technology adoption and innovation to enhance economic resilience."

The Coronavirus Disease of 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, which entered Indonesia in 2020, caused the Indonesian government to impose a social restriction program that led to the implementation of a company policy implementation of work, namely to work from home (WFH). This requires companies to use video conferencing applications to maintain continuous communication between employees. This study aims to explain the factors that influence the post-pandemic continuance intention of video conference applications in the workplace. This study uses mix-method consisting of qualitative and quantitative approaches. A qualitative approach is used to build the research model and explore technology affordances of video conference applications. A quantitative approach is used to test the hypothesis using the PLS-SEM method. This study collected data from 457 employees in Indonesia. This study combines technology affordance theory, tasktechnology fit, and expectation-confirmation model. This study found 4 technology affordances of video conference applications, namely communication affordance, sharing resource affordance, collaborative working affordance, and social presence affordance. The results of this study show that task characteristic and technology affordance improve perceived task-technology fit (TTF). Then, TTF improves continuance intention directly and indirectly through perceived usefulness, confirmation, and satisfaction. This study also found that all post-acceptance variables in ECM were proven. Finally, this study proves that the expected degree of working flexibility has a positive influence on continuance intention. This study hopefully can be a reference for video conference application providers to decide which features to develop and for companies that use them to decide which application to use."
