"ABSTRAKKompetensi guru harus ditingkatkan seiring perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi yang membawa perubahan gaya belajar siswa.Hasil Uji Kompetensi Guru (UKG) menunjukkan kompetensi guru masih di bawah standar nasional.Penelitian ini membahas upaya peningkatan kompetensi guru SMA Negeri di Kabupaten Hulu Sungai Selatan. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan teknik analisis SWOT dan AHP. Analisis SWOT menunjukkan faktorfaktor kekuatan, kelemahan, peluang, ancaman dan alternatif-laternatif strategi dalam peningkatan kompetensi guru.Berdasarkan penilaian respondenaktor yang paling realistis dalam pelaksanaan peningkatan kompetensi guru adalah Dinas Pendidikan Kabupaten Hulu Sungai Selatan,dengan prioritas sasaran peningkatan kemampuan teknik pembelajaran. Selanjutnya dalam analisis AHP berdasarkan penilaian responden menunjukkan bahwa strategi meningkatkan kegiatan inservice training, workshop, seminar dan kegiatan lainnya dengan diawali menyusun analisis kebutuhan dan membuat program pelatihan yang sesuai dalam upaya peningkatan kompetensi guru menjadi prioritas utama.

ABSTRACTTeacher's competency in teaching needs to be enhanced in accordance with the rapid development of tecnology and knowledge which brings changes in student?s learning style. The result of Teachers Competency Test/Uji Kompetensi Guru (UKG), which was recently held by the government showed that commonly the teachers? competency was still below the national standard.This study was a discussion about the efforts of increasing the teachers? competency of SMA Negeri in Hulu Sungai Selatan regency. This study was a quantitative research which applied the SWOT AHP technique analysis. The SWOT technique analysis showed the factors of strength, weaknesses, opportunities, threats, and the alternative strategies in increasing the teachers? competencies.Based on the assessment given by the respondents, it could be said that the most realistic actor in the efforts in enhancing the teachers? competencies in Hulu Sungai Selatan regency was the Educational Department of Hulu Sungai Selatan regency, and as the priority was enhancing the teachers? competency in teaching techniques. While the AHP technique analysis showed that the strategies in increasing the activities of in service training, workshop, seminar, and other activities which was started with conducting the a needs analysis and carrying out a training program which was in accordance with the efforts in enhancing the teachers competencies, was the priority."

"Guru merupakan salah satu faktor yang menentukan keberhasilan pendidikan. Salah satu karakter guru yang diharapkan adalah sikap kreatif. Guru taman kanak-kanak berhadapan dengan siswa yang berada pada tahap praoperasional (Piaget, dalam Atkinson, 1983). Pada tahap ini berkembang kemampuan simbolik. Sehingga dibutuhkan kreativitas guru TK untuk melaksanakan proses belajar mengajar yang akan mencapai tujuan pembelajaran. Selain itu dengan memiliki sikap kreatif dalam mengajar, seorang guru diharapkan akan mengembangkan proses belajar mengajar yang mendorong kreativitas siswanya.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji: 1) pengaruh motivasi berprestasi terhadap sikap kreatif guru, 2) pengaruh konsep diri terhadap sikap kreatif guru, 3) pengaruh motivasi berprestasi dan konsep diri secara bersama-sama terhadap sikap kreatif guru.Hipotesa yang diajukan pada penelitian ini adalah 1) ada pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan dari motivasi berprestasi terhadap sikap kreatif guru, 2) ada pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan dari konsep diri terhadap sikap kreatif guru, 3) ada pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan dari motivasi berprestasi dan konsep diri secara bersama-sama terhadap sikap kreatif guru.Penelitian ini dilakukan terhadap 118 orang guru TK Islam yang berada di Wilayah Kota Bekasi Jawa Barat. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah skala motivasi berprestasi yang disusun berdasarkan teori yang dikemukakan oleh David McClelland (1987). Skala konsep diri disusun berdasarkan teori yang dikemukakan oleh Williams H. Fitts (1971). Sementara skala sikap kreatif disusun berdasarkan teori yang dikemukakan oleh Utami Munandar (1977). Analisis statistik menggunakan multiple regression.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motivasi berprestasi dan konsep diri memberikan pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan terhadap sikap kreatif guru."

"The National System of Education pays less attention to learners so that what the learners should master after the learning process has not the got the proper attention (Depdiknas, 2000). Therefore, the leaners' achievement has not been optimal yet. Teachers are not of the determinants of educational success and have got the central point in teaching and learning processes. Therefore, the skills or competence of the teacher in teaching become minimal mandatory. The research on the teachers' competence indicates that the average competency score of 354 elementary school teachers is 189.44 and it is considered mediocre. There is not any relationship between their eduction with the teaching competence, except their ability to recognize their learners. Therefore, education alone is not enough to make a teacher able to know the students well. Years of teaching do not have any significant relationship with the mastery of subjects taught either even though it is believed that the longer or the more often someone teaches certain subjects the better is his material mastery should be. Therefore, primary school teachers are advised to review the material they teach so that they can improve their mastery and develop further insights."

"Masalah yang melatarbelakangi Tugas Akhir ini adalah adanya masalah individual, interpersonal, dan organisasional di lembaga pendidikan X yang setelah dilakukan analisa diduga bersumber dari keasertifan guru dan pembina yang relatif rendah. Guru dan pembina di lembaga pendidikan X seringkali menunjukkan pola-pola interaksi yang bersifat pasif ataupun agresif. Sebagian guru dan pembina lebih suka menyimpan pikiran, perasaan, dan keyakinannya, serta membiarkan orang lain mengganggu hak-hak personalnya. Sebagian guru dan pembina lainnya lebih suka menunjukkan perilaku agresif terutama ketika harus berinteraksi dengan siswa.Untuk memahami masalah yang dihadapi oleh lembaga pendidikan X, dilakukan analisis penyebab, metode, dan prosedur pemecahan masalahnya Berdasarkan analisa tersebut, disimpulkan ada 4 faktor yang menyebabkan rendahnya keasertifan guru dan pembina yaitu ; gaya kepemimpinan masa lalu, nilai-nilai yang dianut, budaya organisasl dan lingkungan sekitar, serta faktor-faktor psikologis Dari ke-empat faktor penyebab tersebut, faktor psikologis merupakan faktor yang mungkin untuk diintervensi Kemudian, dari berbagai metode intervensi yang ada, karena kepraktisan dan masukan dari beberapa ahli seperti Davison & Neale (2001) dan Johnson (1997), metode pelatihan dipilih sebagai metode intervensi untukmeningkatkan perilaku asertif guru dan pembina.Pelatihan keasertifan tersebut penulis susun dengan langkah-langkah 1 identifikasi kebutuhan, penetapan tujuan dan sasaran, penetapan materi, penetapan metode dan prinsip belajar, pelaksanaan pelatihan dan evaluasi. Dan berdasarkan pemahaman terhadap teori keasertifan dan perubahan perilaku, penulis menetapkan 6 materi, yaitu : persepsi, harga diri, komunikasi interpersonal, komunikasi non-verbal, teori keasertifan, dan menjadi asertif."

"Tesis ini membahas pemanfaatan portofolio sebagai sumber informasi tentang proses belajar oleh pembelajar bahasa Inggris untuk pemelajar muda. Penelitian yang dilakukan merupakan penelitian kualititatif berjenis studi kasus. Seorang pembelajar bahasa Inggris menjadi partisipan dalam penelitian ini. Data diperoleh dari pelaksanaan wawancara, prosedur stimulated recall, jurnal mingguan, serta sejumlah dokumen terkait seperti rencana pembelajaran dan laporan hasil belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa partisipan dapat memanfaatkan portofolio untuk mengidentifikasi kelemahan, kekuatan dan kebutuhan pemelajar serta merancang praktik pembelajaran yang efektif bagi mereka. Partisipan dapat memanfaatkannya untuk mengidentifikasi ketiga aspek itu pada awal masa eksplorasi topik; memutuskan aspek yang perlu diasah, materi pembelajaran yang sesuai dan strategi pembelajaran yang tepat untuk topik terkait; memantau perkembangan pemelajar; serta memutuskan kelanjutan pembahasan topik. Partisipan juga memiliki persepsi positif tentang praktik pemanfaatan portofolio sebagai sumber informasi tentang proses belajar karena merasa terbantu oleh portofolio meski mengalami kendala teknis. Penelitian ini juga mengungkap sejumlah temuan dan isu yang kompleks terkait pemanfaatan portofolio, seperti penggunaannya bersama asesmen lain, penggunaan portofolio digital, sistem penerapan portofolio, serta kaitan antara portofolio dengan kemahiran membaca dan menulis pemelajar muda. Hasil penelitian ini memberikan tambahan wawasan yang lebih spesifik mengenai bagaimana pembelajar dapat memanfaatkan portofolio. Penelitian selanjutnya dapat mengeksplorasi lebih dalam tentang praktik pemanfaatan portofolio di kelas yang berukuran lebih besar; faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi pemanfaatan portofolio oleh pembelajar; manfaat bentuk asesmen alternatif lain terhadap pemelajar dan pembelajar; pemanfaatan lebih dari satu bentuk asesmen secara bersamaan; dan penggunaan teknologi dalam asesmen terhadap pemelajar bahasa muda.

This thesis discusses the use of portfolio as a source of information about learning process by an English teacher for young learners. The research employed a qualitative study called case study. An English teacher acted as a participant in this study. Data were obtained from interviews, stimulated recall procedures, a weekly journal, as well as related documents that include lesson plans and term reports. The results indicate that the participant could use portfolio to identify learners weaknesses, strengths and needs as well as design effective teaching practices for them. The participant could use it to identify the three aspects as she started exploring a topic; determine aspects that needed to be developed, suitable teaching materials dan appropriate teaching strategies for the topic; monitor learners development; and decide whether it was necessary to continue exploring the topic. The participant also has a positive perception about using portfolio as a source of information about learning process as she found it helpful, even though she also experienced technical difficulties when using it. This study also reveals findings and issues that are related to the use of portfolio, such as the use of portfolio with other forms of assessment, the use of digital portfolio, the portfolio implementation system, as well as the relationship between portfolio and young learners reading and writing skills. The results of this study provide new, more specific insights about how teachers can utilize portfolio. Future research can explore more on the use of portfolio in bigger classrooms; factors that influence the ways teachers use portfolio; the benefits of using other forms of alternative assessments for students and teachers; the practice of using more than one form of assessment simultaneously; and the use of technology in assessing young language learners."

"Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh: (1) supervisi kepala sekolah terhadap disiplin guru SMK Negeri se Kabupaten Lampung Tengah, (2) etos kerja terhadap disiplin guru SMK Negeri se Kabupaten Lampung Tengah, (3) supervisi kepala sekolah terhadap etos kerja guru SMK Negeri se Kabupaten Lampung Tengah.Jenis penelitian ini berdasarkan tujuannya termasuk penelitian eksplanatif, karena ingin menjelaskan hubungan pola-pola yang berbeda tetapi ada keterkaitan serta menghasilkan pola hubungan sebab akibat. Dalam hal ini Supervisi kepala sekolah sebagai variabel bebas ( X1 ) berpengaruh terhadap disiplin guru sebagai variabel terikat ( Y ), dan Etos kerja sebagai variabel bebas ( X2 ) berpengaruh terhadap disiplin guru sebagai variabel terikat ( Y ).Berdasakan hasil penelitian disimpulkan: (1) supervisi kepala sekolah berpengaruh signifikan terhadap disiplin guru. (2) Etos kerja berpengaruh terhadap disiplin guru. (3) supervisi kepala sekolah berengaruh terhadap Etos kerja.

The purpose of the study is to analyze the influence of: (1) the principal supervision towards the discipline of all teachers of State Vocational High School s in Central Lampung Regency, (2) Working Ethos towards the discipline of all teachers of State Vocational High School s in Central Lampung Regency, (3) the principal supervision towards the work ethos of all teachers of State Vocational High School s in Central Lampung Regency.This research is a quantitative research. Based on its purpose of this research belongs to explanative research because it explains the relationship of the different patterns, but there is relationship and produces the pattern of casual relationships. In this case the principal?s supervision is as the independent variable (X1) and work ethos as the independent variable (X2) determine towards the teachers discipline as the independent variable (Y).The result of the study shows: (1) the principal supervision significantly effects towards the discipline of teachers, (2) Work ethos significantly effects towards teachers discipline, and (3) principals supervision significantly effects towards work ethos. And (4) principals supervision and work ethos significantly effects alltogether towards the discipline of teachers."
