"Photocard merupakan salah satu elemen dari merchandise yang banyak dikonsumsi oleh penggemar. Photocard memiliki keunikan ketika penggemar mengonsumsi, merawat, dan memperlakukannya. Selain harus dijaga dengan sangat baik, photocard juga diperlakukan seperti elemen yang hidup dan photocard juga mampu menjadi jembatan untuk pembentukan gambaran diri dari penggemar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat bagaimana photocard bukan hanyalah barang biasa, tetapi juga barang yang dapat memberikan pengaruh dan arti tersendiri kepada penggemar melalui perspektif mediated intimacy dan self-presentation. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan etnografi digital. Data-data terkait dikumpulkan melalui platform media sosial Tik Tok dan wawancara dengan beberapa responden yang merupakan penggemar sekaligus kolektor photocard.

Photocards are one of the merchandise elements that are widely consumed by fans. Photocards have the uniqueness when it comes to how the fans consume, maintain, and treat it. Besides having to be maintained highly well, photocards are also treated like living elements and photocards are also able to become a bridge for the self-image formation of fans. This study aims to see how photocards are not just regular items, but also the items that could give effect and meaning to the fans through the perspective of mediated intimacy and self-presentation. This study uses a qualitative method with a digital ethnographic approach. Related data was collected through a social media platform namely TikTok and interviews with several respondents who are K-Pop fans and at once photocards collectors."

"South Korea has attained spectacular economic success in recent decades. It has reached the status of a Newly Advanced Economy, with challenges increasingly mirroring those faced by other advanced economies. These include the necessary upgrading of the labor force, the frictions of switching to a national system of innovation adapted to leadership in R&D, market-based economic policies that reflect the government’s difficulties in foreseeing future technological developments, and the consequences of social change for the innovation system and policy-making. In the forthcoming book the parallel challenges for innovation and technology for the Republic of Korea and other advanced economies will be analyzed more thoroughly with an international perspective in mind. This comparison and international benchmarking will allow policy makers and scholars to better appreciate how much the country has already moved into the circle of globally leading economies and what can be done to consolidate and strengthen its position."
