"Background: Gastric cancer mass screening using serum pepsinogen has been recognized and several advantages of this methods over photofluography have been shown by previous study.
Aims: To determine the factors influence the serum pepsinogen levels in healthy subjects.
Subjects & Methods: One thousand and one hundred fourteen subjects who were screened for gastric cancer as part of a periodic health check. Blood samples were taken after fasting and stored below -20°C, until pepsinogen levels were assayed.
Results: The subjects consist of 338 males (mean age 52.6+l4.0) and 776 females (mean age 49.0+11.9). Age ranges jrotn I9 to 81 years. The overall prevalence of chronic atrophic gastritis using a Criterion PG I £ 70 hg/ml and PG l/ll ratio < 3.0 was 21.99 % in 1996 and 23.97 % in 2000. Bivariate analysis revealed a significant association between age, more salt consumption, fish favorable over meat and less than three time meal intake covariates with the lowering of PG I/ll ratio. Smelting, drinking, BMI, weight and gender did not affect the changes of PG I/ll ratio.
Conclusion: Age and more salt consumption covariates have a strongest association with the decreased of PG I/II by multivariate analysis"

"Latar belakang: Defisiensi vitamin B12dan asam folat dapat menyebabkan anemia yang selanjutnya dapat mempengaruhi tumbuh kembang anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kadar folat serum bayi usia 6-8 bulan dan korelasinya terhadap indikator status gizi bayi dan pengetahuan-sikap-perilaku ibu tentang pola makan bayi.
Metode: Rancangan penelitian potong lintang dilakukan pada 55 bayi usia 6-8 bulan yang memenuhi kriteria penelitian dan ibunya sebagai responden. Data yang dikumpulkan meliputi usia, jenis kelamin, panjang badan, berat badan, asupan kalori, protein dan folat (menggunakan metoda food frequency questionnaire semiâ??kuantitatif dan recall 24 jam), sedangkan pada responden meliputi usia, tingkat pendidikan, penghasilan keluarga, status bekerja dan pengetahuan, sikap, perilaku terkait pemberian makan bayi (ASI dan MPASI).
Hasil: Penelitian ini mendapatkan median kadar folat serum adalah 43,05 nmol/L dengan kadar terendah 19,92 nmol/L dan kadar tertinggi 104,24 nmol/L. Diantara faktor-faktor terkait yang diteliti, didapatkan korelasi positif bermakna antara kadar folat serum dengan asupan protein dan asupan folat.
Kesimpulan: Disarankan agar bayi sejak usia 6 bulan mendapatkan makanan pendamping ASI yang kaya akan protein folat sehingga diharapkan dapat mempertahankan kadar normal folat serum. (Med J Indones 2011; 20:138-42).

Abstract
Background: Vitamin B12 and folate defi ciency can cause anemia which may lead growth and development impairments. This study was aimed to determine serum folate levels among infants aged 6-8 months and the relation to infants' nutritional indicators and maternal knowledge-attitude-practice about infant feeding.
Methods: A cross sectional design was implemented in infants aged 6â??8 months and their mothers as respondents who met the study criteria. Data collected among the infants included sex, age, length, weight, intake of energy, protein and folate (based on a one month semi quantitative FFQ and a 24â??hour food recall), serum folate and hemoglobin levels. Data collected among the mothers included age, education level, income based on average minimum monthly wage, knowledge, attitude and behavior concerning infants feeding, i.e. breast milk and complementary feeding practices.
Results: This study found that the median of serum folate levels was 43.05 nmol/L with values ranging from 19.92 nmol/L to 104.24 nmol/L. Serum folate level had a strong positive correlation with its related factors, protein and folate intake.
Conclusions: Protein-folate-rich complementay food should be provided to infants aged 6 months and over to maintain serum folate level. (Med J Indones 2011; 20:138-42)."

perceived value, and perceived price among customers on the decision to repurchase Javanony herbal
products. The sampling technique in this study is purposive sampling. This study concludes that
the attitude of customers who already have an understanding of green products is not completely
supported by the company in applying green marketing to create higher value for its customers.

"Latar belakang: Melasma merupakan kelainan hiperpigmentasi didapat yang
disebabkan disfungsi melanogenesis, berupa makula coklat kehitaman simetris,
terutama mengenai area wajah. Patogenesis melasma belum diketahui dengan jelas,
beberapa faktor yang diduga berperan, di antaranya disfungsi tiroid dan defisiensi seng.
Tujuan: Mengetahui kadar seng serum pada pasien melasma dan nonmelasma dengan
dan tanpa disfungsi tiroid.
Metode: Sebuah penelitian dengan desain potong lintang dilakukan di Jakarta pada
September-Desember 2019. Terdapat 60 pasien melasma dan 60 pasien nonmelasma.
Kedua kelompok dilakukan matching usia dan jenis kelamin. Atomic absorption
spectrophotometry digunakan untuk mengukur kadar seng serum. Laboratorium darah
untuk memeriksa fungsi tiroid (TSH dan FT4). Analisis statistik menggunakan software
SPSS.
Hasil: Rerata kadar seng serum pada kelompok melasma 10,25±1,89 μmol/L dan
nonmelasma adalah 10,29±1,46 μmol/L (p <0,901). Rerata kadar seng serum pada
pasien melasma dengan disfungsi tiroid 8,77±0,69, melasma tanpa disfungsi tiroid
10,33±1,89, nonmelasma dengan disfungsi tiroid 10,48±2,4, dan nonmelasma tanpa
disfungsi tiroid 10,27±1,4 (p <0,184).
Kesimpulan: Tidak didapatkan perbedaan bermakna antara kadar seng serum pada
kelompok melasma dan nonmelasma dengan dan tanpa disfungsi tiroid.

Background: Melasma is an acquired hyperpigmentation disorder, clinically as
asymmetrical blackish brown macules, especially on the facial area. Several factors are
thought to play a role, including thyroid dysfunction and zinc deficiency.
Objective: To determine serum zinc levels in melasma and non-melasma patients with
and without thyroid dysfunction.
Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted in Jakarta in September-December
2019. There were 60 melasma patients and 60 non-melasma patients. The two groups
were matched for age and sex. Atomic absorption spectrophotometry was used to
measure serum zinc levels. Blood laboratory was used to check thyroid function (TSH
and FT4). Statistical analysis was done by SPSS software.
Results: The mean serum zinc level in the melasma group was 10.25 ± 1.89 μmol / L
and non-melasma was 10.29 ± 1.46 μmol / L (p <0.901). The mean serum zinc level in
melasma patients with thyroid dysfunction was 8.77 ± 0.69, melasma without thyroid
dysfunction 10.33 ± 1.89, non-melasma with thyroid dysfunction 10.48 ± 2.4, and nonmelasma
without thyroid dysfunction 10.27 ± 1.4 (p <0.184).
Conclusions: There was no significant difference between serum zinc levels in the

"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh pemberian teh hijau terhadap kadar NOx serum postprandial setelah mengonsumsi makanan tinggi lemak pada individu dewasa sehat. Penelitian ini merupakan uji klinis alokasi acak, cross over, tersamar tunggal. Sebanyak 20 subyek mengikuti penelitian ini namun hanya 19 subyek yang mengikuti penelitian ini sampai selesai. Subyek dibagi menjadi dua kelompok, yaitu kelompok pertama adalah kelompok subyek yang mendapatkan teh hijau, sedangkan kelompok kedua mendapatkan air putih. Satu minggu kemudian, kepada kedua kelompok dilakukan cross over. Data yang dikumpulkan meliputi karakteristik demografi, asupan energi dan lemak, asupan nitrat anorganik, serta laboratorium. Rerata persentase asupan lemak terhadap energi total subyek penelitian adalah 32,46 ± 1,19% melebihi asupan lemak total yang dianjurkan. Asupan kolesterol subyek penelitian sebesar 224,53 (125,83‒495,27) mg/hari, masih dalam batas rekomendasi untuk orang dewasa. Tidak terdapat perbedaan bermakna pada asupan nitrat anorganik selama masa run in dan wash out. Perubahan kadar NOx serum pada kelompok teh hijau dan air putih masing-masing adalah 3,90 (0,80‒11,60) μmol/L dan 3,13 ± 0,33 μmol/L. Dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan kadar NOx serum pada kedua kelompok dan peningkatan kadar NOx serum pada kelompok teh hijau lebih besar walaupun perbedaan peningkatan ini tidak bermakna secara statistik (p= 0,27).

The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of green tea on postprandial serum NOx level after consumption of high fat meal in healthy young adults. This study was a randomized, cross over, single-blind clinical trial. Twenty subjects participated in the study but only 19 subjects completed this study. The subjects were divided into two groups, first was the group who took green tea and the second was the group who took water. After one week apart, both groups were cross over. The data collected in this study included demographic characteristic, antropometric,dietary assessment of energy and fat intake, inorganic nitrate intake, andlaboratory test. Percentage of energy from fat of the subjects averaged 32.46±1.19% which was above the recommended value. Cholesterol intake of the subjects was 224.53 (125.83‒495.27) mg/day which was below recommended value for adults. There was no statistically significant difference on inorganic nitrate intake during run in and wash out period. The changes of serum NOx level in green tea and water group were 3.90 (0.80‒11.60)μmol/L dan 3.13± 0.33 μmol/L respectively. Serum NOx level was increased in both groups compared to baseline but the increase was higher in green tea group; however, it was not statistically significant (p = 0.27)."
