"Kegiatan pencarian literatur pada lingkungan institusional dilakukan dengan berbagai macam tujuan, mulai dari menunjang proses belajar-mengajar, menggarap penelitian, hingga menyusun literature review untuk studi yang sedang dijalankan. Seiring dengan berkembangnya koleksi literatur pada sebuah institusi, permasalahan mengenai teknik pencarian yang optimal dan intuitif pada koleksi tersebut akan menjadi lebih mendesak. Salah satu teknik yang bisa digunakan untuk memudahkan pencarian literatur adalah dengan menggunakan visualisasi informasi yang interaktif. Penelitian ini menghasilkan rancangan desain repositori institusional yang memanfaatkan visualisasi informasi dan dirancang menggunakan pendekatan user-centered design. Berdasarkan riset perilaku dan analisis kebutuhan pengguna, dihasilkan 34 design insights yang kemudian diterapkan pada delapan halaman. Rancangan desain kemudian dievaluasi melalui usability testing dan in-depth interview. Hasil usability testing menunjukkan capaian success rate sebesar 90% hingga 100%. Sementara itu, diperoleh rata-rata skor ketertarikan partisipan sebesar 4,6 dari 5 dan skor kegunaan purwarupa sebesar 4,7 dari 5. Dari hasil evaluasi, sebanyak 37 saran perbaikan diterima dan diimplementasikan pada desain.

Literature search activities within an institutional environment are conducted for various purposes, ranging from supporting the teaching and learning process, conducting research, to gathering literature reviews for ongoing studies. As the literature collection in an institution grows, the issue of finding optimal and intuitive search techniques for the collection becomes more crucial. One technique that can facilitate literature searches is the use of interactive information visualization. This research produced a design for an institutional repository that utilizes information visualization and is designed using a user-centered design approach. Based on user behavior research and needs analysis, 34 design insights were produced and then applied to eight pages. The design was then evaluated through usability testing and in-depth interviews. The results of the usability testing showed a success rate of 90% to 100%. Additionally, the average participant interest score was 4.6 out of 5, and the prototype usability score was 4.7 out of 5. From the evaluation results, a total of 37 improvement suggestions were received and implemented in the design."
