"ABSTRAKThis is a study of oral tradition on Mentawai family stories. The family stories relate to historical events and contemporary social issues occurred in the Mentawai Islands and affecting the Mentawai kin groups. The Mentawai family stories comprise significant elements defining different kin groups living on the Mentawai Islands. They are also an important source of information with regard to claims to ancestral land. The Mentawai family stories can furthermore be regarded as the kin groups? verbal form of identities. Therefore, to maintain the family stories is indispensable to Mentawai communities and the power of human memory plays an important part in maintaining and transmitting the significance of these verbal identities of the communities."

"Teaching Indonesian in formal schools today is regarded as a challenge by many Indonesian teachers. In a country like Indonesia, in which language situation is very complex due to many languages and dialects (and also the fast-growing English usage in big cities), this phenomenon can be understood. Since the country?s independence, there have been several curricula?one of them is Kurikulum Berbasis Kompetensi (competence-based curriculum), the newest being Kurikulum Tingkat Satuan Pendidikan (Unit Level of Education-Based Curriculum). The latter seems to be regarded as the most ideal curriculum, because it can be adjusted to the regions? policy. The problems are that there are still Ujian Nasional (national examination) and that the ?readability? of the curriculum is still a big question for many teachers. This paper is focused on the elementary school teacher?s strategies on applying the curriculum. This paper also discusses the curriculum, some principles on language learning, and the emergence of literary matters."

"Studi ini diselenggarakan untuk mengetahui seberapa jauh pengaruh budaya dalam sebuah organisasi terhadap perilaku hijau para karyawannya diluar tempat bekerja. Walaupun sudah banyak riset yang meneliti green human resource management, namun hanya sedikit yang mempelajari hubungan budaya dalam suatu organisasi dan perilaku hijau para karyawannya diluar tempat bekerja. Data yang dibutuhkan diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam. Jarak kekuasaan dan Individualisme versus Kolektivisme dijadikan sebagai satuan ukur budaya dalam suatu organisasi. Hasil studi ini menunjukkan bahwa kolektivisme dalam suatu organisasi mempengaruhi perilaku hijau para karyawan diluar tempat bekerja. Pada satu sisi, jarak kekuasaan terbukti tidak mempengaruhi perilaku hijau para karyawan diluar tempat bekerja.

This study was conducted to see how far organizational culture affects non-workplace employee's green behavior, especially in MNCs operating in Indonesia. Although there has been quite a lot of research done on green human resource management, only a few scholars addressed the relationship between organizational culture and non-workplace employees' green behavior. The data was collected through in-depth interviews. Power distance and individualism versus collectivism were used to measure organizational culture. This study infers that collectivism has an influence on employee's green behavior outside of the workplace. At the same time, power distance has proven to have zero influence on non-workplace employee's green behavior. "

"ABSTRAKPenulisan ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan pendekatan penyajian pada video Youtube beauty influencer Indonesia dan Internasional. Penulis mengobservasi dua kanal Youtube dengan melihat pendekatan ndash; pendekatan yang digunakan oleh kedua beauty influencer, baik dari segi konten ataupun struktur video. Hasil observasi menunjukkan bahwa adanya perbedaan dalam penyajian video pada kanal kedua beauty influencer, hal ini dikarenakan oleh berbagai hal seperti audiens dan juga keadaan industri itu sendiri.

ABSTRACTThe purpose of this paper is to compare the difference presentation approach on Youtube videos by Indonesia and International beauty influencers. The author observes both Youtube channels by looking at the approaches used by both beauty influencers, both in terms of content or video structure. Observation results show that there is a difference approach on the video presentation on both channel, this is due to various things such as the audience as well as the state of the industry itself."
