Sistem pendinginan menjadi salah satu faktor yang sangat berpengaruh dalam penggunaan energi pada gedung tersebut. Prosedur perhitungan dari IKE tersebut akan dijelaskan sebagai berikut. Besar kWh selama setahun penuh yang telah diambil datanya sebagai sample akan dibagikan dengan total luas ruangan yang menggunakan sistem pendinginan.
