"This article will discuss the ultranationalist movement in Russia, emerged and flourished in the early until in the middle of 1990s in Russian Federation state. This ullranationalist movement emerged sporadically at the same time with the emerge of other movement groups at the time of democracy transition period. The openness condition had pushed elements of society established political groups and parties. Most of them supported government programs, while the other put a role as opposition groups. The ultranationalist movement, united in Democrat-Liberal Party, was the hard-liner groups, who opposed Russian government policy. However, in the middle of 1990s, this movement was becoming weak. The emerge and weakened of this movement was caused by some factors which will be discussed in the article below."

"Konstitusi Federasi Rusia sudah mencantumkan secara rinci dan sistematis hak dan kepentingan antara individu, masyarakat, dan negara, tetapi dalam pelaksanaannya mengalami berbagai hambatan. Masalah penelitian ini adalah melihat kesenjangan antara aspek normatif dan empiris itu. Sedangkan tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menjelaskan dan mengkaji sistem demokrasi di Rusia dalam masa transisi demokrasi selama tahun 1992 - 1999, dengan melihat dari indikator perlindungan HAM yang dilakukan oleh pemerintah Rusia, khususnya perlindungan HAM pada pekerja media massa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan strukturis dengan melihat sejarah sebagai perubahan sosial yang disebabkan oleh adanya dialektika antara keberadaan para agensi dengan struktur sosial yang ada. Kontribusi penelitian ini secara teoritis dan praktis diharapkan dapat menjadi kajian perbandingan dalam melihat pelaksanaan demokrasi dan perlindungan HAM di negara lain, termasuk Indonesia.

The Constitution of the Russian Federation has incorporated in detail and in systematic manner the rights and interests among individual, societies, and. the state. In their implementation, however, there has been obstacle. The problematic of this research looks at this discrepancy between the normative and empirical aspects. The aim of this research in to explain and analyze the democratic system in Russian during the democratic transition period 1992-1999 by looking as an indicator the protection of human rights by the Russian government, especially that accorded to mass media wreckers. The approach employed in this research is structures that view history as social change caused by a dialectics between agency and the existence social structure. Banyak bangunan Gereja dihancurkan dan penganut agama Kristen Ortodoks yang dibunuh dan bermigrasi keluar Rusia pada rezim Soviet menyebabkan terjadi penurunan drastis jumlah penganut Kristen Ortodoks di Rusia. Pada masa Federasi Rusia, Vladimir Putin dan rohaniawan berusaha membangkitkan kembali kekuasaan Kristen Ortodoks dengan melakukan modernisasi pada bidang organisasi sosial dan teknologi, yaitu pada organisasi Gereja Kristen Ortodoks, sistem keuangan gereja, bangunan gereja, musik dan lagu-lagu gereja, serta keterbukaan terhadap teknologi dan internet. ABSTRACTAfter the fall of the Soviet Union, the Russian nation is said to experience a national identity crisis due to the loss of traditional cultural values of the nation, the Orthodox Christian Church. Many Church buildings were destroyed and Orthodox Christians who were murdered and migrated out of Russia in the Soviet regime led to a dramatic decline in the number of Orthodox Christians in Russia. At the time of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin and the priest tried to revive the Orthodox Christian rule by modernizing the social and technological organization of the Orthodox Church organization, the church 39 s financial system, church building, music and church songs, and openness to technology and internet. The modernization has had a positive impact as evidenced by the percentage of Orthodox Christians in the Russian Federation that has been on the rise since 1991 to the present."

This thesis discusses the propaganda strategy in Russian youth movement Nashi. The study was a descriptive qualitative research design. The research proves that Nashi use more than one strategies of propaganda. This strategy is done to attract young people to join Nashi. However, from a variety of strategies all contain the same element that is related to things that are close and identical to the young people."

"Skrispi ini membahas terjadinya transisi demokrasi di Myanmar. Dengan mengacu kepada teori Samuel P. Huntington mengenai faktor pendorong demokratisasi dan pola transisi demokrasi, skripsi ini berargumen bahwa transisi demokrasi di Myanmar terjadi karena diinisasi oleh rezim yang sedang berkuasa, dan dipengaruhi beberapa faktor pendorong, yaitu 1) krisis legitimasi, 2) faktor ekonomi, 3) perubahan keagamaan, 4) perubahan kebijakan pelaku eksternal dan 5) efek demonstrasi. Melalui penelitian kualitatif dan studi literatur skripsi ini menemukan bahwa proses transisi demokrasi di Myanmar dimulai setelah liberalisasi awal yang dilakukan oleh rezim militer pada tahun 2007, dan dilanjutkan oleh pemerintahan baru yang dipimpin Thein Sein pasca pemilihan umum 2010. Sepanjang 2011-2016, pemerintahan Thein Sein yang melibatkan koalisi militer dan sipil transisi demokrasi terbatas di Myanmar melalui penerapan kebijakan reformasi politik dan ekonomi. Dari temuan tersebut skripsi ini menyimpulkan bahwa pola transisi demokrasi Myanmar yang diinisiasi oleh rezim militer dan diterapkan secara terbatas dibawah pengaruh kuat militer dan pelibatan kelompok opisisi dalam pemerintahan Thein Sein merefleksikan ciri model transformasi.

This thesis discusses the occurrence of democratic transition in Myanmar. Referring to Samuel P. Huntington’s theory regarding the driving factors for democratization and the pattern of democratic transition, this thesis argues that the democratic transition in Myanmar occurred because of the initiatied by the ruling regime and influenced by several factors, such as 1) legitimacy crisis, 2) economic factors, 3) religious changes, 4) changes in policies of external actors and 5) demonstration effects. Through qualitative research and literature study, this thesis finds that the democratic transition process in Myanmar began after the initial liberalization carried out by the military regime in 2007, and continued by a new government led by Thein Sein after the 2010 general election. During 2011-2016, Thein Sein’s government involving military and civil coalitions of limited democratic transition in Myanmar through the implementation of political and economic reform policies. From these findings, this thesis concludes that the pattern of Myanmar’s democratic transition initiated by the military regime and implemented in a limited manner under the strong influence of the military and the involvement of opposition groups in Thein Sein’s government reflects the characteristics of the transformation model."
