"Mangrove merupakan salah satu sumber daya alam yang mengalami kerusakan dengan tingkat degradasi yang tinggi. Dalam rangka menimimalisasi tingginya tingkat kerusakan yang terjadi pada mangrove, perlu diupayakan pengelolaan mangrove yang berkelanjutan. Skripsi ini hendak meneliti tentang bagaimana pengelolaan mangrove berkelanjutan di Indonesia dengan beberapa negara lain. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian yuridis normatif dengan menggunakan data sekunder dan studi perbandingan. Hasil yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini adalah bahwa pengelolaan mangrove berkelanjutan telah diupayakan oleh Indonesia meskipun masih mengalami beberapa kendala. Demikian pula dengan pengelolaan mangrove berkelanjutan di beberapa negara lain yang masih menemui beberapa kendala, kekurangan, dan kelebihan.

Mangrove is one of natural resources that suffered damage with high degradation rate. In order to minimize the high level of damage that occurs in mangroves, sustainable mangrove management should be sought. This thesis will study how mangrove management is sustainable in Indonesia and some other countries. The research method used in this thesis is normative juridical research using secondary data and comparative study. The results obtained in this study is that sustainable mangrove management has been pursued by Indonesia although still experiencing some obstacles. Similarly, sustainable mangrove management in several other countries still encounters some obstacles, shortcomings, and strengths."

"The Arctic, the Antarctic, and the Hindu Kush-Himalayas form a trio of terrains sometimes called “the three poles”. Mainly composed of rock, snow, and ice, these precious regions, which are home to many unique species such as the polar bear, the emperor penguin, and the snow leopard, contain the primary water resource of this planet and directly shape our climate. Tourism in the Antarctic has benefited from enlightened self-regulation, but there are signs that this is changing, too. The chapters of this book are written by experts in their fields, and their evidence leaves no doubt that we already live beyond our carrying capacity on a finite but decaying space. A global protection role model and several outlook scenarios are proposed to help set in motion polar protection priorities that are actually valid. Humanity has demonstrated through international treaties such as the Antarctic Treaty and the Madrid Protocol that we can put the interests of the planet as a whole first. This must become the norm, not the exception."
