"Peran perempuan dalam masyarakat Korea dipengaruhi oleh ajaran Konfusianisme yang berhubungan erat dengan sistem patriarkat. Sistem patriarkat pun mengarah pada munculnya konstruksi peran perempuan konvensional yang menganggap perempuan cenderung berpusat pada urusan domestik dan keluarga. Akan tetapi, seiring perkembangan zaman, karya sastra mulai mengangkat gambaran peran perempuan konvensional yang direkonstruksi dan menunjukkan bahwa konstruksi tersebut perlahan-lahan mulai berubah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperlihatkan bahwa peran perempuan lebih dari sebatas peran yang tercipta dalam masyarakat. Kemudian, sudah waktunya perempuan berperan di dunia luar serta memperjuangkan perkembangan dan kebebasan diri. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif analitis dan menggunakan teori gender Ann Oakley sebagai landasan dalam menganalisis rekonstruksi peran perempuan dalam drama Hospital Playlist 2. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rekonstruksi peran perempuan ditampilkan melalui tokoh-tokoh perempuan generasi muda yang aktif, mandiri, dan mampu berperan di dunia luar. Agar tampak jelas rekonstruksinya, drama kemudian menghadirkan generasi baby boomers yang dianggap sebagai generasi yang sesuai dengan konstruksi peran perempuan konvensional. Untuk menguatkan rekonstruksi ini, drama bahkan menampilkan karakter Jung Ro-sa, generasi tua, tetapi lebih adaptif dengan perubahan peran perempuan.

The role of women in Korea is influenced by Confucianism which is closely related to the implementation of patriarchal system. Patriarchal system leads to the emergence of conventional women’s role constructions which assume that women tend to be focused on family and domestic affairs. However, literary works begin to raise conventional women’s roles that are reconstructed and show that things slowly changing. This study aims to show that the role of women is more than the role that was created in society. It’s time for women to have roles in the outside world and fight for their freedom and self- development. This study uses a qualitative approach with analytical descriptive method. Ann Oakley’s gender theory is also used as the basis to analyze the reconstruction of women’s role in the Korean drama Hospital Playlist 2. The research findings show that the reconstruction of women’s role is shown through the younger generation characters who are active, independent, and capable to have a role in the outside world. To make the representation of the reconstruction clear, this drama present a baby boomers generation who are considered to be the generation that fits the construction of conventional women’s role. The drama even shows the character Jung Ro-sa from the older generation, but more adaptive to the changing of women’s role to make the reconstruction even clearer."

"Fleksibilitas ekonomi global yang ditunjang teknologi komunikasi dan informasi telah menciptakan mekanisme eksklusifitas yang mengoneksikan orang atau kelompok dengan nilai dan kepentingan yang sama, serta mengeksklusikan kelompok lainnya. Hal ini mendorong kembali kemunculan identitas berbasis agama maupun etnisitas di sejumlah wilayah sebagai bentuk pertahanan diri. Identitas tersebut muncul ketika negara dianggap tidak bisa lagi memegang kendali atas krisis ekonomi dan politik yang muncul akibat globalisasi. Namun kemunculan identitas kolektif ini memiliki dinamika tersendiri ketika dihadapkan dengan kepentingan elite politik. Tesis ini bertujuan menguraikan rekonstruksi identitas kolektif yang terjadi dalam era masyarakat informasi dengan mengambil studi kasus di Kabupaten Purwakarta, Jawa Barat. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan analisa identitas dari Manuel Castells serta teori masyarakat informasi dari Frank Webster, tesis ini ingin melihat bagaimana Keislaman dan Kesundaan diposisikan ulang di Purwakarta untuk membangun identitas kabupaten. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembangunan identitas Purwakarta dengan memposisikan ulang identitas Keislaman dan Kesundaan merupakan konstruksi identitas yang didorong oleh imajinasi personal tokoh politik melalui penggunaan perangkat negara di tingkat lokal dan media digital yang menghasilkan wujud mengarah pada bekerjanya legitimizing identity yang mendominasi kembali identifikasi Kesundaan dan Keislaman. Penelitian ini melengkapi sejumlah studi tentang identitas Islam dan Sunda yang dilakukan sebelumnya yang melihat bahwa sinkretisme Sunda dan Islam tidak hanya melibatkan debat filosofis, tapi juga perubahan konteks politik serta politisasi dalam praktik sehari-hari. Kebaruan dalam penelitian ini adalah temuan bahwa jejaring sosial berbasis informasi yang terbentuk dalam teknologi komunikasi dan informasi berbasis internet turut mendorong dan memperkuat kemunculan kembali identitas tersebut.

The global economic flexibility underpinned by communications and information technology has created an exclusive mechanism that links people or groups with equal values and interests, and excludes other groups. This has led to the re-emergence of religious and ethnicity-based identities in some areas as a form of self-defense. The identity arises when the state is considered to be no longer in control of the economic and political crises arising from globalization. But the emergence of this collective identity has its own dynamics when confronted with the interests of the political elite.

This thesis aims to understand the construction of collective identity that occurs in the information society by taking a case study in Purwakarta, West Java.Using a qualitative approach with identity analysis from Manuel Castells and information society theory from Frank Webster, this thesis would like to see how Islam and Sunda were repositioned in Purwakarta to establish the identity of the district.

This research found that the development of Purwakarta identity by repositioning the identity of Islam and Sunda is an identity construction that is driven by the personal imagination of political figures through the use of state apparatus at the local level and digital media that result in the form of legitimizing identity that dominates the identification of Sunda and Islam.

This study completes a number of studies on the earlier identities of Islam and Sunda that see that Sundanese syncretism and Islam not only involve philosophical debate, but also the changing political context and politicization in everyday practice. The novelty in this study is the finding that the information-based social network formed in the Internet-based information and communication technology helped to boost and re-emerge the identity."
