Treviño, Rose Zertuche
"In Rose Zertuche Trevino's "Read Me a Rhyme in Spanish and English", programming ideas abound for librarians who have bilingual patrons and wish to present reading programs for children for whom Spanish is the spoken language at home. The bilingual programs are for children of all ages: babies to primary school children. The program material presented originates from Latin culture, engaging those patrons for whom the nursery rhymes are new, as well as for older children and parents for whom the rhymes are old favorites. "Read Me a Rhyme in Spanish and English"; includes thorough directions, as well as the text for various sounds and read-alouds, written in both English and Spanish. Users will also discover: fresh ideas and resources for implementing bilingual storytimes; eight program plans with chapters specific to target audience; and, two bibliographies filled with additional resources, including both paper and music titles for use with bilingual programs. The ready-made storytimes included in this unique bilingual book is a must-have for any library serving the Spanish-speaking. Filled with rhymes, songs, and fingerplays, this book will become a favorite among your young patrons both in English and Spanish!"

"This article explains how recent changes in China’s legal culture are being influenced by the two philosophies of good governance currently emphasised by the country’s leadership; that is, the rule of law and social harmony. Focusing specifically on criminal procedure, the article uncovers the essence of China’s current legal culture – that is, the juxtaposition of the rule of law and social harmony, and analogises it with the alloy of Confucianism and Legalism in dynastic China. This article pos its that the effort to amend the Criminal Procedure Law (‘CPL’) (2012) completes the transition of China’s legal culture because it accomplishes a substantive mixture of the rule of law and social harmony. The article then scrutinises the CPL amendments by classifying them into two groups in the light of their main functions – that is, to consolidate the rule of law and to legalise social harmony – and discusses how the rule of law and social harmony are further promoted in the criminal justice system through the first-year implementation of the CPL. A preliminary examination of the questions arising from the juxtaposition of the rule of law and social harmony under the CPL – which touches upon the basis of the criminal justice system and even the entire legal regime – precedes the conclusion of the article."

Rap song as one of the dominant cultures of the world is identical with the use of rhyme in the field of phonostilistics. The choice of diction and the phonetic process of how the sounds of the language are spoken can form rhymes as a pattern of singing harmony. The problem in this research is how the relationship between rhyme, diction selection, and phonetic modification in German rap songs from Seeed—titled Dickes B and Augenbling is seen. This study aims to determine the relationship between rhyme patterns as stylistic elements, diction selection, and phonetic modification with a phonostilistic basis in rap songs and is expected to be breakthrough research that can help expand research in the field of German phonostilistics. The object of the research is based on rhyme, diction, and phonetic modification in German rap songs. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative method to describe research results using rhyme classification, syllable structure, and phonetic modification analyzed based on Silbenphonologie theory and phonetic modification. The results of this study indicate that the use of rhyme has the aim of increasing the aesthetic value of the song which proves that the relationship between rhyme, diction selection, and phonetic modification in songs cannot be separated and reinforces each other."
