"An efficient Region-Based Image Retrieval (RBIR) system must consider query region determination techniques and target regions in the retrieval process. A query region is a region that must contain a Region of Interest (ROI) or saliency region. A query region determination can be specified manually or automatically. However, manual determination is considered less efficient and tedious for users. The selected query region must determine specific target regions in the image collection to reduce the retrieval time. This study proposes a strategy of query region determination based on the Region Importance Index (RII) value and relative position of the Saliency Region Overlapping Block (SROB) to produce a more efficient RBIR. The entire region is formed by using the mean shift segmentation method. The RII value is calculated based on a percentage of the region area and region distance to the center of the image. Whereas the target regions are determined by considering the relative position of SROB, the performance of the proposed method is tested on a CorelDB dataset. Experimental results show that the proposed method can reduce the Average of Retrieval Time to 0.054 seconds with a 5x5 block size configuration."

"Kawasan Gunung Endut merupakan kawasan yang tersusun atas batuan beku plutonik Tersier dan batuan beku vulkanik Kuarter yang diduga merupakan hasil proses subduksi tektonik yang terjadi di selatan Jawa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis batuan beku dan menginterpretasikan jenis magma, evolusi magma, dan tatanan tektonik yang membentuk batuan beku di daerah penelitian. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis petrologi, analisis petrografi, dan analisis geokimia batuan beku menggunakan XRF. Batuan beku Gunung Endut terdiri dari beberapa satuan batuan beku yaitu batuan beku lava basaltik/andesitik, batuan beku intrusi tanggul basaltik/andesitik, dan batuan beku intrusi stok basaltik/andesitik. Analisis petrografi batuan beku Gunung Endut menunjukkan bahwa batuan lava beku terdiri dari porfiri andesit, sedangkan batuan beku intrusi terdiri dari porfiri diorit dan porfiri dasit. Tekstur mikro dari plagioklas yang terdapat pada setiap sampel menunjukkan bahwa batuan beku Gunung Endut telah mengalami pencampuran magma dengan magma primitif. Berdasarkan diagram TAS, batuan lava beku tersusun atas andesit, dasit, traki-andesit, andesit basaltik, trakhdasit trakit, dan basaltik trachy-andesit. Batuan beku intrusi terdiri dari batuan beku andesit, trachy-andesite, basaltic andesite, dan trachy trachydacite. Deret magma pembentuk batuan beku Gunung Endut merupakan gugus magma kalk-alkali yang menopang lingkungan tektonik pembentuk batuan beku Gunung Endut yaitu batas kontinen aktif.
The Mount Endut area is an area composed of Tertiary plutonic igneous rocks and Quaternary volcanic igneous rocks which are thought to be the result of a tectonic subduction process that occurred in southern Java. This study aims to determine the types of igneous rocks and interpret the types of magma, magma evolution, and tectonic arrangements that form igneous rocks in the study area. The methods used in this research are petrological analysis, petrographic analysis, and geochemical analysis of igneous rocks using XRF. Mount Endut igneous rock consists of several igneous rock units, namely basaltic/andesitic lava igneous rock, basaltic/andesitic embankment intrusion igneous rock, and basaltic/andesitic stock intrusion igneous rock. Petrographic analysis of the Gunung Endut igneous rock shows that the igneous lava rock consists of andesite porphyry, while the intrusive igneous rock consists of diorite porphyry and dacite porphyry. The micro texture of the plagioclase contained in each sample shows that the igneous rock of Mount Endut has undergone magma mixing with primitive magma. Based on the TAS diagram, igneous lava rock is composed of andesite, dacite, trachy-andesite, basaltic andesite, trachyde-tracheal and basaltic trachy-andesite. Intrusion igneous rock consists of igneous andesite, trachy-andesite, basaltic andesite, and trachy trachydacite. The magma series that forms the igneous rocks of Mount Endut is a calc-alkaline magma group that supports the tectonic environment that forms the igneous rocks of Mount Endut, which is the active continent boundary."

"Like many other cities, the industrial region of Gresik encounters problematic issues inherent in the burgeoning quantities of waste in landfill sites despite frequent policy implementations and other efforts from the local government. This study aims to examine and interlink between the possibility of the waqf concept and the growing number of waste issues in the Gresik industrial region. By harnessing ethnographical principles such as employing direct and consistent observations and reviewing numerous relevant literature surveys and archival documents, the study attempts to propose an executable design and model that will serve as a framework for stakeholders to address the weaknesses of current less favourable waste treatment programs. A comprehensive and rigorous consideration concludes that the viability of waqf can be a workable prospect and nucleus for an alternative solution and a complementary voluntary enhancement of effective regional policies and programs. An actionable and contributable waqf aspiration can start from the reformulation and rejuvenation of a rural waste bank which is designed to manage an effective balance between profitable and eco-friendly objectives. Professionalism and competence are significant factors in successfully enhancing the functionality of such an institution. Apart from the micro perspective, the bigger picture of a nexus of waqf and waste, including the current intermittent commitment from top policy makers transferred into timely execution, futuristic applicable technology, charitable giving and donation, and sensible collaborative cooperation, constitutes the conceivable determinants for the accomplishment of an efficacious program."

"Selama beberapa dekade terakhir Kereta Cepat telah dan sedang berkembang cukup pesat di berbagai belahan dunia. Namun banyak Proyek Kereta Cepat yang tidak sesukses seperti yang diharapkan. Kebanyakan faktor penyebabnya adalah over- estimate demand dan cost-overrun. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merumuskan strategi dalam rangka meningkatkan demand Kereta Cepat Jakarta-Bandung dengan menginvestigasi faktor-faktor pengembangan wilayah, individu dan aktivitas, internal operator dan eksternal operator. Penelitian ini merupakan studi quantitative-cross sectional. Pengumpulan data primer dilakukan dengan survey stated preference kuisioner. Analisis data menggunakan structural equation modeling (SEM) dengan bantuan software Lisrel. Hasil analisis data menyimpulkan bahwa faktor yang berpengaruh cukup kuat terhadap demand Kereta Cepat Jakarta- Bandung adalah faktor pengembangan wilayah dan eksternal operator. Hasil ini bermanfaat bagi para perencana sebagai referensi dalam perencanaan proyek sejenis berikutnya. Penelitian lebih lanjut perlu dilakukan yang terkait dengan kelayakan proyek secara ekonomi, sosial dan lingkungan.
For the last few decades the High-Speed Rail has been growing quite rapidly in various parts of the world. However, many High-Speed Rail Projects were not as successful as expected. Most of the contributing factors were over-estimate demand and cost-overrun. This study aims to formulate a strategy in order to increase the demand for the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Rail by investigating the factors of region development, individuals and activities, internal operators and external operators. This research is a quantitative-cross sectional study. The primary data collection was done by using a stated preference questionnaire. The data analysis used the structural equation modeling (SEM) method with the help of Lisrel software. The analysis results concluded that the factors that have a strong enough influence on the demand for the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Rail are region development and external operators. This result is useful as a reference for planners in planning the next similar project. Further research needs to be carried out regarding the economic, social and environmental feasibility of the project "
