"This book presents new European work in the area of addiction studies, focusing on the temporal and spatial variances of addiction behaviours and the solution repertoires for dealing with their problematic variants. It contains work in three main research areas. First, it provides insight into the historical and regionally bound language use tied to addiction problems, showing how concepts and ideas have been intertwined with certain trends globally and regionally. Second, it provides a framework for understanding the roles played by different social actors and stakeholders in different European societies when addressing and solving the problems associated with addiction. Third, it reports on perceptions of the problems as an integrated part of epistemic and political systems, as well as part of a popular understanding among lay people.

""Tourism is an intensely geographic phenomenon. It stimulates large-scale, global movements of people and forges distinctive relationships between people and the places they visit. It shapes processes of physical development and resource exploitation, while the presence of visitors forges a range of economic, social, cultural and environmental relationships that have important implications for local geographies. Tourism Geography develops a critical understanding of how different geographies of tourism are created and maintained. Drawing on both historical and contemporary perspectives, the discussion connects tourism to key geographical concepts relating to globalization, mobility, new geographies of production and consumption, and post-industrial change. Building on the success of Stephen Williams cornerstone work, the addition of Alan A. Lew as co-author has enabled an even wider breadth of research to be introduced to the volume. Featuring international case studies and supported by up-to-date data, the third edition has been fully updated and offers a comprehensive review of tourism geography around the world; it examines the different perspectives from which geographers approach this important contemporary process. This book remains the only up to date and comprehensive review of geographies of tourism and the ways in which scholars can interpret contemporary tourism processes. It provides an accessible yet thorough explanation of concepts and models which promotes an understanding of their applications and limitations."--Publisher's description."

This paper discusses about an in-between space that was originally considered as a lost space can turn into a place that has meaning and value in it. The purpose of this paper is to understand that the presence of humans and the quality of physical space influence the transformation. In-between space as lost space is a space that is formed unplanned and is located between other urban elements. These activities are influenced by the characteristics of the physical space between spaces as lost space and also by different human perceptions. In understanding the concept of transformation of the in-between space, this paper uses the case of Kolong Jembatan Slipi, which determines based on three aspects: 1) identification of the physical quality of the in-between space as lost space; 2) the process of the presence of human activities in the in-between space; 3) the emergence of meaning and a sense of place from the connection between human activity and the physical space between spaces. So, it can be said that this paper wants to show that the quality of the in-between space and the presence of human activity triggers the change in the in-between space from as lost space to a place."

ABSTRACT First place for domestic, second place for work and third place for socialization. Third place is not merely recreational but has became a part of people rsquo s lifestyle. Hence, the existence of third place may happen within the second place or the work place. This thesis will discuss about break out room in the workplace as place for the worker rsquo s interaction. The room rsquo s concept came to existence to facilitate the break out activity which is the situation to take a break during work. From literature and the discussion about Google Office Moscow and L rsquo Oreal Indonesia work place, it can be seen that these break out rooms, from the design, location and provided facilities point of view, can invite the workers to come into the room to generate both formal and informal interaction. Therefore, break out rooms have the role as to provide interaction place for the workers."

sebuah aktivitas dwelling, maka para pekerja cenderung melakukan adaptasi ruang
sesuai kebutuhan.

ABSTRACT
Coworking space is a temporary workspace that exists as new working
needs emerged because of the birth of knowledge workers and digital nomads.
This new work style gives birth to a workspace that co-locate different
professions. However, this workspace is considered different from an office,
because it provides temporary territories for each workers, and doesn?t have any
office hierarchies between the workers. When working is considered as dwelling,
workers tend to adapt their space according to their needs. This research?s purpose
is to study further about the patterns of space conditioning that?s done by the
workers in a temporary workspace. From theoretical studies, the writer concludes
that to find dwelling qualities in a space, human tend to do place-making, which is
conditioning their space to fulfill their physical and psychological needs, such as,
needs of privacy and control, and also to construct a connection between them and
the dwelling place. Through questionnaires and observations done in Coworkinc,
Kemang, the writer found that the workers do condition the space, but the patterns
are different with the ones done in offices, mostly because of the temporality of
the territory.;"
