"Penelitian ini membahas pencarian informasi mahasiswa Ilmu Sejarah Fakultas Ilmu Pengetahuan Budaya, Universitas Indonesia dalam memenuhi kebutuhan sumber informasi sejarah untuk penyusunan skripsi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan lima informan. Model penelitian ini menggunakan gabungan model perilaku pencarian informasi Ellis dan Intervening Variable milik Wilson. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa program studi Ilmu Sejarah menggunakan arsip berbagai jenis, buku, jurnal, narasumber, dan internet. Lokasi yang paling sering dikunjungi adalah Perpustakaan Universitas, Perpustakaan Nasional dan Arsip Nasional Indonesia. Perilaku pencarian informasi dengan enam tahapan dari Ellis tidak semuanya dilakukan informan. Hambatan yang dihadapi adalah personal, interpersonal hingga lingkungan.

This research analyzes information seeking behavior of students of Historical Science in Faculty of Humanities, University Indonesia. In complete the needs of historical information sources in thesis writing. This research uses qualitative descriptive method, by using five informants. This research also combines information seeking behavior model of Ellis and intervening variables of Wilson. The results shows that historical science’s students use various archive for data that they need as primary source, books, journals, resource persons, and internet. Location which is often visited by informants are UI’s library, national library, national archive of Indonesia. Informants not use all stages of the six stages in information seeking behavior. The informants also face personal, interpersonal and environmental barriers."

"Penelitian ini membahas mengenai Perilaku informasi mahasiswa/I FIB UI. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengidentifikasi perbedaan perilaku informasi mahasiswa/I FIB UI. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif atau bisa disebut juga desktiptif kuantitatif dan menggunakan kuesioner dalam pengumpulan datanya, dengan jumlah responden 30 untuk mahasiswa, dan 30 untuk mahasiswi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan perilaku informasi mahasiswa dan mahasiswi. Dalam perilaku informasi Mahasiswa tergolong dalam tipe Analitic sedangkan mahasiswi tergolong dalam tipe Strategis. Hasil penelitian ini juga menyarankan bahwa perpustakaan harus mensosialisasikan secara rutin dan berkelanjutan kepada mahasiswi FIB UI tentang layanan berbasis online, seperti remote access-akses jurnal internasional.

This Study discusses students information behaviour FIB UI. The Purpose of this study is to identify differences students information behaviour FIB UI. his research is quantitative descriptive or can be called quantitative descriptive and using the questionnaire in collecting data, the number of respondents 30 for students man and 30 Students girl. The results of this study indicate that there are differences in the information behaviour of students man dan girl. In the behavior of students man classified information in this type of Analitic while a student girl belonging to the Strategic types. The results of this study also suggest that the library should socialize regularly and continuously to the FIB UI student on an online based services, such as remote access access international journal. "Skripsi ini mengenai keyakinan Mahasiswa Fakultas Ilmu Pengetahuan Budaya Universitas Indonesia angkatan 2014 dalam memecahkan seluruh masalah informasi. Penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian deskriptif ini menggunakan pendekatan survei deskriptif yang menguraikan tentang kategori keyaninan mahasiswa terhadap kemampuan literasi informasi mereka. Kuesioner untuk pengumpulan data menggunakan model Information Literacy Self Efficacy Scale yang diciptakan oleh Kurbanoglu, Akkoyunlu, dan Umay 2006 dan melibatkan 91 responden mahasiswa FIB UI 2014 yang sedang mengerjakan tugas akhir menggunakan teknik convenience sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara keseluruhan mahasiswa memiliki efikasi diri literasi informasi dengan total skor rata-rata 71.06 yang tergolong tinggi. Secara terinci, efikasi mahasiswa dalam mendefinisikan kebutuhan informasi mencapai 74.29 tinggi, menilai dan memahami informasi mencapai 72.35 tinggi, menginterpretasikan, mensintesa, dan menggunakan informasi mencapai 71.21 tinggi, mengkomunikasikan informasi mencapai 70.61 tinggi, mengevaluasi hasil dan proses mencapai 70.45 tinggi, menentukan lokasi dan mengakses sumber-sumber informasi mencapai 69.38 tinggi , serta memprakarsai strategi pencarian mencapai 69.12 tinggi.

This thesis aims to study the belief of student from Faculty of Humanities Universitas Indonesia class of 2014 in solving problems regarding information. This research is a quantitative research with descriptive research design using descriptive survey approach that describes the category of students belief towards their information literacy ability. The questionnaire for data collection that used in this research is the Information Literacy Self Efficacy Scale model created by Kurbanoglu, Akkoyunlu and Umay 2006 and involving 91 FIB UI 2014 student respondents who are working on their thesis using convenience sampling technique.

The results showed that overall students have self efficacy information literacy with a total score of 71.06 average which is high. In detail, the efficacy of students in defining information needs reaches 74.29 high, assessing and comprehending information reaches 72.35 high, interpreting, synthesizing, and using information reaches 71.21 high, communicating information reaches 70.61 high evaluating the product and process reaches 70.45 high, locating and accessing information sources reaches 69.38 high, and initiating search strategy reaches 69.12 high."

"Penelitian ini dibuat berdasarkan hasil survei aktivitas manajemen informasi personal subjek penelitian mahasiswa S1 ilmu perpustakaan Universitas Indonesia angkatan 2018 yang dikirimkan pada periode waktu 26 November 2021 hingga 11 Maret 2022. Ditemukan aktivitas penyimpanan subjek penelitian bermasalah, dengan disimpannya informasi tidak berguna, dilupakannya informasi berguna, dan dikerahkannya upaya dalam menyusun informasi yang dimiliki subjek. Temuan masalah yang dialami oleh subjek penelitian digunakan sebagai desain dasar eksperimen penyimpanan, yang dilaksanakan secara daring menggunakan aplikasi Google Meet. Diambil empat subjek penelitian, dengan setiap subjek mewakili tipe responden yang didapat sesuai dengan data hasil survei profil responden, dan subjek terakhir diambil secara acak. Setiap subjek diberikan satu akun Google Drive yang sudah diisi informasi terpilih, dan pada tahap pertama akun tersebut diminta untuk disusun berdasarkan kemampuan subjek. Pada tahap kedua, pencarian item pada akun yang dipegang oleh subjek dilakukan. Pada tahap ketiga, akun yang dipegang oleh subjek, diberikan kepada subjek lainnya secara berurutan, dan tahap kedua diulang. Ketika seluruh akun telah dicari oleh seluruh subjek, tahap terakhir dimulai dengan dimintanya penilaian setiap akun oleh seluruh subjek. Ditemukan kesepakatan akun yang termudah digunakan, dan akun yang tersulit digunakan oleh subjek penelitian. Hasil dalam bentuk kesepakatan ini digunakan dalam dibuatnya model konseptual sistem penyimpanan informasi.

This study was made based on the results of the survey on personal information management activities of library science students with bachelor degrees at the University of Indonesia batch 2018 that was distributed from 26 November 2021 to 11 Maret 2022. It was found that the storing activity of research subjects was problematic, with useless information being stored, useful information being forgotten, and efforts being put into compiling the stored information. Problems experienced by the research subjects were used as the basic design for the information storing experiment, which was carried out online using the Google Meet application. Four research subjects were taken, with the first three subjects representing each type of respondent obtained in accordance with the data from the respondent profile survey, and the last subject was taken randomly. Each subject was given a Google Drive account that has been filled with selected information. At the first stage the subjects were tasked to arrange the accounts based on their abilities. At the second stage, the subjects were tasked to search for items on their held account. At the third stage, the accounts held by the subjects were assigned to other subjects in sequence, and the second stage was repeated. When all accounts have been searched by all subjects, the final stage begins with each subject being asked for an assessment of each account. It was found that all subjects agreed on the easiest account to use, and the majority of subjects agreed on the hardest account to use. The results in the form of this agreement are then used in making a conceptual model of information storage systems."

"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kecenderungan mahasiswa Ilmu Perpustakaan FIB UI periode 2013-2017 dalam memilih lokasi penelitian dan topik untuk menyelesaikan tugas akhir. Penelitian ini juga bertujuan untuk mendapatkan gambaran tentang pola pemilihan lokus dan topik penelitian. Data menggunakan asumsi akhir dari mahasiswa Ilmu Perpustakaan FIB UI periode 2013-2017. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa cenderung memilih lokus selain pusat informasi atau lembaga informasi seperti perpustakaan dan pusat arsip dan catatan, tetapi melalui sumber lain seperti museum, film, novel, media sosial, penyebaran informasi, dan orang-orang sebagai objek penelitian oleh memeriksa pengetahuan, perilaku, dan perspektif tentang sesuatu. Kemajuan teknologi dan media informasi dan pengembangan ilmiah telah menyebabkan semakin banyak lokus dan topik penelitian yang dapat dieksplorasi dan tidak terbatas pada topik yang terkait dengan pusat informasi atau lembaga informasi, tetapi dapat meluas ke budaya informasi dalam masyarakat. Di sisi lain, penelitian dengan topik yang berkaitan dengan fasilitas dan layanan serta pengelolaan pusat informasi atau lembaga informasi juga banyak dibahas oleh mahasiswa Ilmu Perpustakaan FIB UI. Keberadaan penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi fitur dan masukan untuk pertimbangan evaluasi bagi akademisi dan profesional di bidang keilmuan Ilmu Perpustakaan dan Informasi untuk dapat mengembangkan bidang keilmuan menjadi lebih maju dan lebih baik serta dapat menyesuaikan diri dengan waktu

This study aims to determine the tendency of FIB UI Library Science students from 2013-2017 in choosing research locations and topics to complete the final project. This study also aims to get an overview of locus selection patterns and research topics. The data uses the final assumptions from the FIB UI Library Science students from 2013-2017. This research uses a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. The results show that students tend to choose loci other than information centers or information institutions such as libraries and records and records centers, but through other sources such as museums, films, novels, social media, information dissemination, and people as objects of research by examining knowledge, behavior, and perspective on something. Advances in technology and information media and scientific development have led to more and more locus and research topics that can be explored and are not limited to topics related to information centers or information institutions, but can extend to the information culture in society. On the other hand, research on topics relating to facilities and services as well as the management of information centers or information institutions is also widely discussed by UI Science FIB Library students. The existence of this research is expected to be a feature and input for evaluation considerations for academics and professionals in the field of library and information science to be able to develop the scientific field to become more advanced and better and be able to adjust to the time."

"Penelitian ini membahas tentang pemenuhan kebutuhan informasi mahasiswa Strata Satu (S1) Angkatan 2009 Program Studi Ilmu Psikologi Universitas Indonesia dalam persiapan penulisan skripsi.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui cara apa saja yang digunakan mahasiswa dalam memenuhi kebutuhan informasinya, sumber apa saja yang digunakan, serta manfaat informasi yang diperoleh bagi mahasiswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode survey. Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa S1 Program Studi Ilmu Psikologi.Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dalam memenuhi kebutuhan informasinya, mahasiswa tersebut menggunakan internet dan mengakses jurnal online serta datang ke perpustakaan. Informasi tersebut dapat diperoleh sumber laporan penelitian dan buku teks. Manfaat dari informasi yang diperoleh digunakan mahasiswa untuk membuat laporan penelitian, menyelesaikan tugas, dan untuk menambah wawasan.

This research is discussing about fullfillment information needs for undergraduate student of Class 2009 Psychology Science Programs University of Indonesia in preparation of writing a thesis.

This research aims to determine how students are to be used in meeting their information needs, sources that are to be used, as well as the benefits of information that obtained by students. The Respondents in this research were the undergraduate students of Psychology Science Programs.

The results of this research indicate that in meeting their information needs, the students use the internet, access the online journal and come to library. Such information can be obtained from research reports and textbooks. The benefit from the information that obtained is used by student to create research report, completing assignment, and to add insight."
