"Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran upaya keluarga dalam pencegahan penyakit filariasis. Desain penelitian adalah deskriptif, menggunakan sampel keluarga di wilayah Rumpin sebanyak102 responden, dipilih dengan teknik proportionate random sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah kuesioner untuk mengukur upaya pencegahan penyakit filariasis pada aspek promosi kesehatan dan perlindungan khusus. Hasil penelitian univariat didapatkan bahwa upaya pencegahan penyakit filariasis pada aspek promosi kesehatan 54,9% baik dan 45,1% tidak baik. Pada aspek perlindungan khusus 54,9% baik dan 45,1% tidak baik. Hasil penelitian memberikan informasi upaya keluarga dalam pencegahan penyakit filariasis dan diharapkan menjadi data dasar dalam upaya mengembangkan program promosi kesehatan pencegahan penyakit menular.

This study aimed to have description on family effort in filariasis prevention at Rumpin Village. This is a descriptive study which took 102 people as the sample, selected by proportionate random sampling. The data was collected by using questionnaire to measure filariasis disease prevention on health promotion aspects and specific protection. The result of this study was almost half of the respondents (54,9%) did good and 45,1% of respondents are didn’t good in doing health promotion. On specific protection, almost half of the respondents (54,9%) did well and 45,1% of respondents didn’t well in doing on the specific protection."
