"Skripsi ini membahas tentang motivasi yang dimiliki oleh anggota dance cover. Dance cover adalah usaha untuk menampilkan tarian yang semirip mungkin dengan tarian yang dilakukan artis yang ditiru. Dance cover seringkali dianggap buruk bagi orang yang tidak mengetahuinya. Seringkali para anggota dance cover mendapatkan hal yang tidak menyenangkan seperti cibiran. Tindakan kurang menyenangkan dan penolakan yang dialami anggota dance cover juga berasal dari orang terdekat mereka. Penolakan dapat memunculkan motivasi seseorang untuk tetap menjadi anggota dance cover. Anggota dance cover memilih bertahan dalam komunitasnya karena mereka merasa lebih diterima di komunitas tersebut dan bisa mengekspresikan diri mereka tanpa harus mendapatkan penolakan. Faktor lain yang membuat mereka bertahan manjadi seorang dance cover adalah motivasi yang mereka miliki untuk membuktikan kepada orang-orang yang mencibir mereka, rasa sense of community yang dimiliki terhadap komunitas mereka, dan masih ada keinginan mereka yang belum tercapai. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif yaitu melalui observasi dan wawancara mendalam terhadap tiga orang anggota dance cover yang telah berkarir lebih dari lima tahun. Informan dari penelitian ini adalah anggota dance cover dari sebuah grup bernama BTAce.

This thesis discusses the motivation possessed by dance cover members. Dance cover is an attempt to perform a dance that is as similar as possible to the dances performed by artists who are copied. Dance cover is often considered bad for people who don't know it. Often the cover dance members get things that are not fun like scorn. Unpleasant actions and rejection experienced by dance cover members also come from the people closest to them. Rejection can bring up one's motivation to remain a dance cover member. Dance cover members choose to stay in their community because they feel more welcome in the community and can express themselves without having to get rejected. Another factor that makes them survive being a dance cover is the motivation they have to prove to the people who pout them, the sense of community they have towards their community, and their desires are still not achieved. This study uses a qualitative approach through observation and in-depth interviews of three dance cover members who have worked for more than five years. The informants of this study were dance cover members of a group called BTAce."

"ABSTRAKPenelitian ini mengkaji Nalitari sebagai komunitas tari yang mengimplementasikan nilai-nilai inklusifitas dalam kegiatan berkeseniannya. Dengan metode etnografi, penelitian ini mendeskripsikan kegiatan menari serta metode yang digunakan oleh Nalitari dalam mengimplementasikan inklusifitas. Adapun bentuk implementasi inklusifitas dalam Nalitari dilakukan melalui latihan menari rutin (jamming), workshop, serta pementasan atau eksibisi tari. Lebih lanjut kegiatan menari artinya menjadikan tubuh sebagai medium utama dalam berkesenian, sehingga tulisan ini mengeksplorasi konsep mengenai tubuh individual dan tubuh sosial serta kaitannya dengan penggunaan metode contact improvisation. Nalitari mencipta dan mereproduksi ruang ketiga dengan beragam fungsi melalui tarian. Pertama, ruang aman sebagai ruang yang memberikan rasa aman untuk berekspresi bagi penarinya. Kedua, ruang melawan dari diskursus tari konservatif dengan mengabaikan benar/salah atau luwes/kaku. Ketiga, ruang berelasi sebagai ruang bagi para penari untuk membangun relasi sosial dan memberikan dukungan sosial.

ABSTRACTThis research examines Nalitari as a dance community that implemented the notion of inclusivity in their artwork. Using the ethnographic method, this research describes Nalitaris act of dancing and its method in order to implement inclusivity notions. Moreover, this research captures Nalitaris methods to implement their notions of inclusivity, which includes dance practice or jamming, workshop, and dance exhibitions. Given the fact that Nalitari incorporated body as the main medium in their artwork, this research explores the concept of individual and social body and seeks the interconnection between these two concepts to the usage of contact improvisation method. Furthermore, Nalitari produced and reproduced the third space that has several functions, which includes: (1) a safe space that enables its dancers to express safely; (2) a resisting space that enables its dancers to resist against the conservative dancing methods by ignoring the standard of right or wrong or flexible or stiff; and (3) a space for relations that enable its dancer to develop social relationships and support each other."

"ABSTRAKPergerakan anggota komunitas Dancesport menuju ke lokasi latihan dansa, akan menciptakan ruang-ruang yang mana elemen-elemen di dalamnya bersifat interdependen atau saling berhubungan yang akan menggambarkan organisasi spasial. Pola organisasi spasial yang terbentuk dan memiliki variasi spasial akan mengalami perubahan dari waktu ke waktu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat perubahan pola organisasi spasial pergerakan anggota komunitas Dancesport yang dapat berubah dari waktu ke waktu dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi perubahannya. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode analisis deskriptif, triangulasi data dan analisis keruangan. Hasil dari penelitian ini diketahui pola organisasi spasial pergerakan anggota komunitas Erwan Yulia Sportdance di Jakarta berbentuk gravitasi titik dan komunitas Dancesport UI di Depok berbentuk gravitasi sistem dan tidak mengalami perubahan bentuk organisasi spasial dari T0 ke T1. Komunitas Yuds Ballroom Dancesport mengalami perubahan bentuk, yaitu dari pola organisasi spasial yang berbentuk gravitasi sistem menjadi kontak titik. Faktor-faktor perubahan bentuk organisasi spasial pergerakan anggota komunitas Dancesport disebabkan oleh adanya perubahan yang karakteristik anggota yang dipengaruhi perubahan motivasi bergabung, variasi usia, tempat tinggal anggota, serta pemilihan moda transportasi. Karakteristik lokasi latihan seperti jenis dan situasi tempat latihan tidak berpengaruh, sedangkan lokasi latihan berpengaruh terhadap perubahan organisasi spasial komunitas Dancesport.

ABSTRACTThe movement of the Dancesport community members toward the location of their dance practice, will create spaces in which the elements in it are interdependent or interconnected that will ultimately describe spatial organization. The spatial organization patterns that are formed, which also has spatial variations, will change over time. This study aims to see changes in the spatial organization pattern of the Dancesport community members rsquo movement that may change over time and the factors that influence the change. The methods used are descriptive analysis, data triangulation and spatial analysis methods. The results of this research show the spatial organization pattern of Erwan Yulia Sportdance community members movement in Jakarta through a gravity point and Dancesport UI community in Depok through a gravity system and no changes of spatial organization shape are found from T0 to T1. Yuds Ballroom Dancesport community undergo changes to its shape, which is the spatial organization pattern converting from a gravity system into a form of contact point. The changes in spatial organization pattern of the Dancesport community members rsquo movement are caused by changes in the members characteristics affected by their motivation and aim to join the community, age variation, place of residence, and selection of modes of transportation. The characteristics of the practice locations such as the type and conditions of the practice site have no effect, while the location of the practice site influences the changes of spatial organization within Dancesport community.
