In the performance of its function as a channel of information, the press has a very important role to develop a society, a nation or state. Due to its immense power, the press can play two-sided ames i e, positive and negative sides. The press can advance and improve values existing in the society, on the contraary, it can also worsen and destroy the values. In fact, the press always identifies itself as a neutral institution, and gives priority to the public interest. Nevertheless, in carrying out its profession, the press is covered by miscellaneous interest. As a result in some cases it often happens different interpretation and conflicts on controversial assumption in observing the implementation of press professionalism, particularly in the dissemination of information on the development. "ABSTRAKThe effect of alkali dehulling on pearled grain, milling quality, and flour colour of sorghum grain was under study. Aqueous solutions of sodium hydroxide (NaOH) as dehulling agents hulled grain. Four soaking periods (5;10;15; and 20 minutes) and NaOH concentrations (2,5;5;7,5;10;12,5; and 15 w/w) were investigated. A randomized complete block design with 3 replications was used. The treated grain was washed, neutralized with acetic acid, and washed again. After treated the grains were milled by Satake Polish Rice Machine and then analysed. Physical analysis included the hull removed, milling quality and flour colour. The experiment indicated that the optimum conditions of sodium hydroxide solutions to removed the hull grain was 8,3% at various concentrations to removed (15%, 10% and 5%), and various times (5min.; 10min.; and 15min.). Under these conditions, the yield recovery of milled whole grains were not significantly affected by alkali dehulling. Colour of starch from dehulled grain appeared to be whiter than starch from whole grain, which were indicated by flour reflectance."
