"This book about, the physical environment and navigation issues for the Kara, Laptev, East Siberian and Chukchi seas. Fully half of the book describes accidents induced by heavy ice conditions since 1900: 94 accidents are carefully reported and classified. Among these, the accidents involve shipwrecks, forced drift (ice jet as special case), overwintering, and various types of vessel damage. Most accounts include details such as distinguishing features, behavior of the crew, photos, and maps, which reveal ice conditions, date, location, and vessels involved (for each of four seas). "

"This collection of essays explores the relationship between nationalism and human rights by probing from various angles the nature of nationalism and the normative orientation of human rights. By critically addressing the tension between nationalism This collection of essays explores the relationship between nationalism human rights that is presumed in much of the existing literature, the essays in this volume confront the question of how we should construe human rights: as a normative challenge to the excesses of modernity, particularly those associated with the modern nation-state, or as an adjunct of globalization, with its attendant goal of constructing a universal civilization based on neoliberal economic principles and individual liberty"

Campbell, B. M. S..
""In the fourteenth century the Old World witnessed a series of profound and abrupt changes in the trajectory of long-established historical trends. Transcontinental networks of exchange fractured and an era of economic contraction and demographic decline dawned from which Latin Christendom would not begin to emerge until its voyages of discovery at the end of the fifteenth century. In a major new study of this 'Great Transition,' Bruce Campbell assesses the contributions of commercial recession, war, climate change, and eruption of the Black Death to a far-reaching reversal of fortunes from which no part of Eurasia was spared. The book synthesises a wealth of new historical, palaeo-ecological and biological evidence, including estimates of national income, reconstructions of past climates, and genetic analysis of DNA extracted from the teeth of plague victims, to provide a fresh account of the creation, collapse and realignment of Western Europe's late medieval commercial economy"-- Provided by publisher"

Universitas Indonesia campus area is geographically located in two areas Salemba and Depok. The majority of faculties are located in the Depok area with an area of 320 hectares of land. 75 of the University of Indonesia region can be said is a green area in the form of urban forest. The University of Indonesia region which is dominated by green environment resulted in a lot of organic waste produced such as leaf waste and branch. With this potential, in addition can be used as compost, leaf waste that is in the University of Indonesia can also be used as a source of fuel for power plants. In this final project discuss about the potential of electrical energy by converting biomass energy contained in leaf waste at Universitas Indonesia area. The biomass energy value is determined by parameters such as calorific value, the efficiency of the prime mover, and the efficiency of the generator as a electrical generating machine. From the measurement of caloric value on leaf waste can be determined the value of heat energy generated by leaf waste. From result of research that leaf waste can produce termal energy 3,179,29 kal kg with briquette method and leaf mix ratio and adhesive is 3 1. While the electrical energy that can be produced by leaf waste with briquett form is 0.37 kWh kg."

"This publication takes up the many and often controversial debates about the nature, content, methods and political significance of intercultural learning in and for the European youth field. Its starting point is the current depoliticisation of intercultural learning in this field, and especially in the programmes of the European Commission and the Directorate of Youth and Sport of the Council of Europe over the last several years. At the same time, the elevation of ?intercultural dialogue? to panacea for all societal problems, from civil war to educational failure, is putting the mobilisational value of intercultural learning to the test."
