"Perluasan coverage atau jangkauan dari suatu operator seluler dapat dilakukan tidak hanya pada cakupan nasional dengan membangun BTS (Base Transmission Station) yang lebih banyak secara indoor dan outdoor, tetapi dapat juga dilakukan dengan memperluas jangkauan internasional melalui kerjasama International Roaming. Beberapa service yang terkait dengan International Roaming adalah Voice/Data Roaming, GPRS/MMS Roaming dan SMS Interworking.
International Roaming bukan sekedar layanan dasar bagi pelanggan. Pengelolaan yang baik dan optimal akan menjadikannya bisnis global yang dapat menjadi revenue center bagi suatu operator. Pelayanan ini telah lama diberikan kepada pelanggan tetapi pengelolaan untuk mewujudkan bisnis global yang bisa menjadi revenue center bagi operator belum dilakukan dengan optimal. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari belum dilakukannya terobosan-terobosan pengembangan untuk meningkatkan pelayanan. Bisnis ini akan selalu berkembang sebagai bisnis global tidak hanya pada service voice dan SMS saja, tetapi akan terus mengikuti perkembangan teknologi komunikasi seluler seperti GPRS/MMS, CAMEL, EDGE dan UMTS. Kondisi ini menuntut operator untuk dapat menerapkan kerjasama International Roaming sesuai dengan level service yang ada dan harus dapat bekerjasama dengan operator yang memiliki frekuensi dan teknologi yang berbeda.
Perlu adanya perencanaan strategi dan kebijakan manajemen pada suatu unit operator seluler untuk menangani, mengelola dan mengembangkan bisnis global International Roaming. Pembuatan strategi manajemen ini bertujuan supaya operator tetap dan semakin bertahan (survive) dalam menghadapi tantangan, ancaman dan sekaligus dapat mengambil peluang yang ada saat pertumbuhan jumlah pelanggan seluler di Indonesia menurun.
Penanganan bisnis ini melibatkan hampir dari semua unit, mulai dari frontliner hingga teknisi atau operator dan juga melibatkan level management setingkat direksi hingga dengan customer service. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa bisnis ini adalah suatu bisnis besar yang melibatkan banyak pihak. Oleh karena itu diperlukan suatu strategi dan kebijakan yang tepat untuk menangani bisnis International Roaming ini.

Coverage extension of a cellular operator can be done not only in national scope by developing more indoor and outdoor BTS (Base Transmission Station) but also in international scope by extending it through International Roaming cooperation. Some services connected to the International Roaming are Voice/Data Roaming, GPRS/MMS Roaming and SMS Interworking.
International Roaming is not only work as a basic service for the customer. Good and optimum management will turn it into a global business so that it can become a revenue center for an operator. This service has given to the customer for several time before but the optimum management which can make it a global business that can become a revenue center for the operator is not done yet. This can be seen from the un-existing development breakthrough for service increment. This business not only will always develop as a global business in service voice and SMS but also will always follow the cellular technology development such as GPRS/MMS, CAMEL, EDGE and UMTS. This condition pushed the operator for applying International Roaming cooperation that appropriate to the existing service level. They also must able to cooperate with operators which have different frequency and technology.
Strategic planning and management policy in a cellular operator unit are needed for handling, managing and developing the International Roaming global business. The purpose of this strategic management is to make the operator exist and survive in facing some challenges and threats. It is also hoped that the operator can take the market opportunity when someday the cellular costumer number in Indonesia decrease.
Almost every unit in the organization is involved in handling this business, started from frontlines up to technicians or operators. This also involved the operator management from the board of directors level down to the customer service. It is showed that this business resembles as a big business that will involved many components. In consequence, appropriate strategy and policy are needed for handling this International Roaming business.

"Dalam penelitian ini dapat diidentifikasikan tiga point permasalahan yang akan di pecahkan, yaitu : (1) Berapa besarnya kontribusi masing-masing strategi persaingan terhadap kinerja toko-toko ritel kecil, (2) Apa faktor-faktor penentu kinerja toko-toko ritel kecil berdasarkan strategi persaingan, dan (3) Bagaimana prioritas strategi persaingan toko-toko ritel kecil? Tujuan penelitian ini pada dasarnya adalah menguji hubungan antara respon persaingan yang dilakukan oleh para ritel kecil karena kehadiran Careffour dan kinerja usahanya. Variabel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah 13 variabel indikator Respon Persaingan. yaitu : dengan indikator Meningkatkan Pelayanan kepada Pelanggan (MPP), Meningkatkan Penampilan Toko (MPT), Meningkatkan Promosi (MP), Meningkatkan Penjualan dengan Cara Kredit (MPK), Menurunkan Harga Barang (MHB), Menaikkan Harga Barang (MeHB), Meningkatkan Kualitas Barang (MKB), Menurunkan Kualitas Barang sehingga Harganya Lebih Murah (MeKB), Menyeleksi Janis Barang yang diperjualbelikan (MTh), Meningkatkan Hubungan dengan Pemasok (MHP), Meningkatkan Pengelolaan atau Manajemen Keuangan (MPM), Meningkatkan Sistem inventori (MSI), dan Melakukan Diversifikasi ke Bidang Usaha Lain (MDB).
Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan survey. Adapun jumlah populasi dari toko-toko ritel kecil disekitar paserba Carrefour adalah 138 toko Dengan sampel 58 toko ritel keci! yang berada di sekitar 7 lokasi Paserba Carrefour. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan bantuan program SPSS versi 12.5. Dari hasil penelitian dapat ditentukan prioritas strategi yang dapat mempengaruhi kinerja (laba) toko-toko ritel keci! sebagai berikut : Prioritas 1: meningkatkan promosi (MP), meningkatkan penjualan melalui kredit (MPK), dan/atau menaikkan harga barang (MeHB), Prioritas 2: meningkatkan sistem inventori (MS1) dan/atau melakukan diversifikasi usaha (MDB), Prioritas 3: menurunkan harga barang (MHB), meningkatkan kualitas barang (MKB), danlatau menurunkan kualitas barang sehingga harganya lebih rendah (MeKB), dan Prioritas 4: meningkatkan pelayanan pelanggan (MPP), meningkatkan penampilan toko (MPT), dan/atau meningkatkan pengelolaan atau manajemen keuangan (MPM).
Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disarankan bagi toko-toko ritel kecil yang berada di sekitar paserba Carrefour, bahwa untuk menghadapi persaingan dapat melakukan upaya-upaya sebagai berikut : (1) Meningkatkan promosi dengan memanfaatkan berbagai media, baik media cetak seperti surat kabar, majalah, leaflet dan yang sejenis atau media elektronik seperti radio dan televisi, (2) Meningkatkan penjualan melalui kredit, sehingga konsumen akan merasa dimudahkan dalam berbelanja, dan mampu menarik minat lebih banyak konsumen untuk melakukan transaksi, dan (3) Menaikkan harga beberapa jenis barang yang memang tergolong langka dan spesiaVunik, sehingga ditempat atau toko lainnya jarang tersedia, hal ini jugs berpengaruh pada pemikiran konsumen yang menghubungkan harga barang dengan kualitas barang tersebut, barang yang harganya lebih tinggi, lebih berkualitas.

In this research can be identified three point problems to solving, that is : (I) How big is contribution of each emulation strategy to small shop retail performance, (2) What factors of determinant of small shop retail performance pursuant to emulation strategy, and (3) How priority of strategy of small shop retail emulation? this Research target basically is test the relation among respond emulation conducted by all small retail because attendance of Carrefour and its effort performance. Variable used in this research is 13 variable of indicator of Respond Emulation, that is: with the indicator Improve the Service to Customer (MPP), Improving Shop Appearance (MPT), Improving Promotion (MP), Improving Sale by Credit (MPK), Cutting Under Goods (MHB), Increase Price The Goods (MeHB), Improving Goods Quality (MKS), Degrading Goods Quality so that its Price is Cheaper (MeKB), Select the Goods Type which is it will be sell (M.TB), Improving Relation by Suppliers (MHP), Improving Monetary Management or Management (MPM), Improving Inventory System (MSI), and Conduct to Diversify to Area of Effort Other; Dissimilar (MDB).
This research uses the descriptive research method with the survey approach. As for population amount from small shop retail around Carrefour Hypermarket is 138 shops. By sample 58 small shop retail residing in about 7 location of Carrefour Hypermarket. Data analyzed by using aid program the SPSS version 12.5. From determinable research result of strategy priority which can influence the performance shop retail as follows : Priority I: improving promotion (MP), improving sale of through credit (MPK), and/or increase price the goods (MeHB), Priority 2: improving inventory system (MSI) and/or conduct diversified by the effort (MDB), Priority 3: cutting under goods (MHB), improving goods quality (MKB), and/or degrade the goods quality so that its price is lower ( MeKB), and Priority 4: improving customer service (MPP), improving shop appearance (MPT), and/or improve the management or finance management ( MPM).
Pursuant to research result suggested for small shop retail residing in about Carrefour Hypermarket, that to face the emulation can conduct the following efforts : (1) Improving promotion by exploiting various media, good of media print like newspaper, magazine, leaflet and which of a kind or electronic media like radio and television, (2) Improving sale through credit, so that consumer will feel facilitated in going shopping, and able to draw the enthusiasm of more amount consumer to conduct the transaction, and (3) Increase price some goods type which is true pertained a rareness and special unique, so that in place or other shop seldom be made available, this matter also have an in with the connective consumer opinion of goods price with the goods quality, goods which its price is higher, more with quality.

"Dalam menjalankan bisnis, sangat dibutuhkan sebuah perencanaan bisnis yang baik. Pengusaha, organisasi, atau perusahaan seringkali mengalami kegagalan dalam menjalankan bisnisnya disebabkan Salah satu alasannya adalah karena tidak adanya rencana bisnis yang memadai. Rencana bisnis dapat menjadi suatu alat yang efektif untuk berbagai macam bisnis dalam mengatur tujuan-tujuan kedalam suatu benluk yang saling berhubungan, khususnya bagi bisnis baru atau bisnis kecil.
Di dalam skripsi ini, membahas setiap aspek dari rencana bisnis bagi Bookstore dan Ritel FTUI yang rencananya akan dibangun di lingkungan kampus Fakultas Teknik Universitas Indonesia. Aspek-aspek tersebut adalah rencana organisasi, rencana pemasaran, dan dokumen keuangan.
Hasil dari penelitian dan penulisan ini akan menjadi usulan rencana bisnis dan pertimbangan bagi Bookstore dan Ritel FTUI, apakah layak untuk dijalankan atau tidak.

Enterpreneur, organizational, or company oftentimes fail in running its business is caused by one of the reasons is no adequate business plan. Business plan can be become an effective appliance for assorted of business in arranging the target into a form that is interaction, especially for new or small business.
In this final paper, study about every aspect of business plan for Bookstore and Retail of FTUI that its plan will be founded in campus environment of Faculty of Engineering University of Indonesia. The Aspects is organizational plan, marketing plan, and monetary document.
The result of this writing and research will become business plan proposal and consideration for Bookstore and Retail of FTUI, if it's feasible to be run or not.

"Monetary crisis blowing Indonesia in the middle of July 1997 has brought significant impact especially to business sector. The economic crisis for PT. Inti Teknodrilindo constituted a serious threat instead of positive impact. Therefore, the management conducted various strategies in order to survive by means of internal improvement and efficiency strategies. It allowed the company to keep exist until today. The author was encouraged to study about company strategies.
This study was conducted in descriptive manner, the author presented empirical data relating to strategies applied by PT. Inti Teknodrilindo; how to analyze company strategies (uncertainty) to enable the company escape from the crisis. In order to analyze strategies of PT. Inti Teknodrilindo, the author collected primary or secondary data. The primary data includes result of detailed interview with PT. Inti Teknodrilindo top management as well as board of directors and managers in analyzing the primary and secondary data, the author adopted macro analysis from Pearce and Robinson, five forces from Porter, namely five farces That influence industrial competitiveness. In order to ensure factual activities conducted by PT. Inti Teknodrilindo, the author also adopted value chain from Michael Porter, which analyzes a set of activities in detailed as well as company's activities to discover the most significant factor for strategies applied by the company. Strategy generic from Pearce and Robinson and Laurence R. Jauch. Turnaround strategy is a theory the author applied to come into conclusion that the strategy used by PT. Inti Teknodrilindo was an turnaround strategy by retrenchment strategy being indicated by cost and asset reduction through employee rationalization, fix asset sales and changing composition of the shareholders. Meanwhile, turnaround strategy was followed by concentric diversification strategy, namely to diversify service coverage in oil & gas exploration and exploitation project by means of establishing subsidiaries, cooperation with other parties in joining various oil & gas drilling tenders, acquisition of the company which is having line business with PT. Inti Teknodrilindo, to find focusing on service or product."
