"The twenty-first century is a world in constant change. In A New Culture of Learning, the authors pursue an understanding of how the forces of change, and emerging waves of interest associated with these forces, inspire and invite us to imagine a future of learning that is as powerful as it is optimistic. Typically, when we think of culture, we think of an existing, stable entity that changes and evolves over long periods of time. In A New Culture, Thomas and Brown explore a second sense of culture, one that responds to its surroundings organically. It not only adapts, it integrates change into its process as one of its environmental variables. By exploring play, innovation, and the cultivation of the imagination as cornerstones of learning, the authors create a vision of learning for the future that is achievable, scalable and one that grows along with the technology that fosters it and the people who engage with it. The result is a new form of culture in which knowledge is seen as fluid and evolving, the personal is both enhanced and refined in relation to the collective, and the ability to manage, negotiate and participate in the world is governed by the play of the imagination"

TikTok has seen an increase in users during the pandemic, with a total of 1,2 billion active users in 2021. With the increase of users, TikTok also needs to maintain their user’s retention. One of the efforts made by TikTok is to answer educational needs through social media. The purpose of this study is to identify and analyze the factors affecting the continuance intention of TikTok users in obtaining educational content. This study modifies the Expectation- Confirmation Model (ECM) by adding system quality and information quality variables from the Information System Success Model, as well as analyzing the enjoyment and interactivity factor which is closely related to the experience of using social media. Data from this study were collected through online questionnaires with a total of 629 respondents. Then the respondent's data was processed by CB-SEM using AMOS 26. The results of this study indicate that the confirmation affects perceived usefulness and satisfaction; information quality, system quality, and enjoyment affect satisfaction; interactivity affects perceived usefulness; the perceived usefulness doesn’t affect satisfaction, and the perceived usefulness and satisfaction influence the continuance intention of using TikTok for educational purposes. This research can also be useful in improving social media, especially TikTok for education. This study suggests TikTok to develop functionality and features that are more aligned with user needs such as subtitle features, speed adjustments, playlists, content duration extensions, and algorithm evaluations that are more aligned with user preferences for educational content. In addition, this study also recommends TikTok to do socialization regarding the features available on TikTok so that it can be more useful for the user's learning process."

"The book focuses on issues relating to technology and social justice to re-examine the traditional relationship between schools and technology, between schools and diverse learners, and between schools, children and knowledge. Drawing from examples from around the world, the book explores practical ways that diverse schools have worked to celebrate diverse understandings of what it means to be a learner, a citizen, a worker in these changed and changing times and the ways different technologies can support this agenda."

"Conceptual change is an intentional and constructive effort to bring about deep understanding, one of the most important outcomes of learning. When fostering conceptual change with technology, learning is meaningful, dynamic and engaging. By bringing together the work of scholars from various countries, the authors hope to bring forward their understanding of fostering conceptual change with technology. This book aims to present the current state of research on fostering conceptual change with technology in Asia-Pacific countries, where technology is fast becoming an integrated part of learning. It provides a comprehensive overview of current research practices, then examines the context of learning, learners characteristics and the role of epistemological beliefs. It also discusses the different approaches used to foster conceptual change in various countries. The final section presents possible future directions for research."
