"Skripsi ini membahas peranan nilai-nilai Konfusianisme sebagai pandangan fundamental bangsa Korea keseluruhan dalam pemerintahan Park Chung Hee secara khusus dan pengaruhnya terhadap perkembangan ekonomi Korea Selatan tahun 1961-1979. Pembahasan tersebut akan mengurai bagaimana pengaruh internal (nilai-nilai Konfusianisme) dan eksternal (pengaruh Amerika Serikat dan Jepang) berpengaruh kepada Park Chung Hee dan pemerintahannya. Penelitian akan dibuktikan dengan analisis kualitatif deskriptif atas nilai-nilai Konfusianisme yang terkandung dalam kepemimpinan Park Chung Hee, kebijakan-kebijakan pemerintahan Park serta resistensinya terhadap Konfusianisme dan pengaruh asing. Hasil studi ini membuktikan adanya hubungan antara nilai-nilai Konfusianisme dengan kepemimpinan Park Chung Hee tahun 1961-1979 dalam peranannya terhadap perkembangan ekonomi Korea Selatan.

The focus of this study is to explain the role of Confucian values as Korean’s fundamental view in Park Chung Hee’s era specifically and its influences toward South Korea’s economy development 1961-1979. This study would describe how both internal factor (Confucian values) and external factor (USA and Japan) give influences toward Park Chung Hee himself and his government. This study will be conducted by descriptive-qualitative analysis of Confucian values on Park’s era, Park government’s policies, and also their resistance towards Confucianism itself and foreign influences. This study itself concludes that there is a correlation between Confucian values and Park Chung Hee’s era (1961-1979) due to its role toward South Korea’s economy development."

"Skripsi ini membahas mengenai kiat-kiat perusahaan Lotte pada saat krisis ekonomi tahun 1997/98 terjadi dan faktor apa saja yang memengaruhi keberhasilan tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif analisis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan kiat perusahaan Lotte dalam menghadapi krisis ekonomi tahun 1997/98 serta peran budaya perusahaan dalam keberhasilan perusahaan tersebut. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah keberhasilan perusahaan Lotte pada saat krisis ekonomi tahun 1997/98 didukung oleh budaya perusahaan Lotte, kebijakan pemerintah saat itu, dan pola pikir masyarakat Korea terkait Konfusianisme.

This analysis discussed the method of Lotte company in facing the 1997/98 economic crisis and which factors affected the success. This research used a qualitative method with descriptive analysis approach. This research aims to find tips Lotte company in the face of the economic crisis in 1997/98 and the role of corporate culture in the success of the company. The conclusion from this analysis was Lotte corporate culture, government policy at the time, and the mindset of the people of Korea related to Confucianism supported the success of the Lotte company in facing the 1997/98 economic crisis."

"ABSTRAKKonfusianisme merupakan suatu filosofi yang mengutamakan moral manusia. Ajaran iniberasal dari Cina, tetapi pengaruhnya lebih besar di Korea. Konfusianisme di Koreamemengaruhi nilai-nilai masyarakat Korea sejak zaman Joseon, terutama dalam hubunganantar sesame manusia. Akan tetapi memasuki era modern Korea mulai meninggalkan nilainilailama dan menganut nilai dan ajaran baru megikuti tren masyarakat global. Jurnal inimembahas contoh nilai Konfusianisme yang masih ada hingga saat ini. Tujuan daripembahasan ini yaitu untuk mengetahui nilai konfusianisme apa saja yang masih ada dimasyarakat Korea. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatifdan menggunakan metode pustaka sebagai metode pengumpulan data. Temuan daripenelitian ini adalah Konfusianisme mempunyai pengaruh yang sangat besar di masyarakatKorea pada zaman Joseon, tetapi di masa modern ini, pengaruh Konfusianisme sudahsemakin melemah dan mulai ditinggalkan.

ABSTRACTConfucianism is philosophy that focuses on morality. This teaching comes from China, buthas bigger influence in Korea. From the beginning of Joseon, Confucianism has alreadyaffected value of Korean people, especially in human relationship. Nevertheless when Koreabecome more modern, Korean people start to abandon Confucianism’s value and embracemodern value following western people. The purpose of this research is to know what kindof Confuscianism value that still exist in Korean society. The method used is descriptivequalitative and for the data collection method used is the literature method. The result of thisresearch is Confucianism has a great influence on Korean people when Joseon Dynasty wasestablished, however in modern time, Confucianism influence has been weakened andforgotten"

"This paper argues that the Hikajat Khonghoetjoe (The life story of Confucius) written by Lie Kim Hok in 1897, is a medium to propose modern ideas of flexible subjectivity, cosmopolitanism, active citizenship and the concepts of good governance to the Chinese Peranakans who experienced political and racial discrimination under Dutch colonization. Using the figure of Confucius, Lie aimed to cultivate virtuous subjects who apply their faith and morality in political sphere. He intended to raise political awareness and rights among the Chinese as colonial subjects and to valorize their bargaining power with the Dutch colonial government. By introducing Confucianism, Lie proposed that the Chinese reconnect themselves with China as an alternative patronage which could subvert White supremacy. Instead of using sources in Chinese, Lie translated the biography of Confucius from the European texts. In crafting his story, Lie applied conglomerate authorship, a technique commonly practised by Malay authors. It allowed him to select, combine and appropriate the source texts. To justify that Confucius Virtue and his teaching were superb and are applicable to contemporary life, Lie borrowed and emphasized European writers high appraisal of Confucianism, instead of using his own arguments and opinions. I call this writing technique indirect agency."

"Korea Selatan dikenal sebagai negara dengan penganut ajaran konfusianisme tertinggi, bahkan mengalahkan Cina sendiri yang merupakan negara asal konfusianisme. Ajaran konfusianisme telah memberikan adanya perubahan di berbagai bidang, salah satunya tatanan nilai dalam masyarakat Korea. Konfusianisme merupakan sebuah ajaran yang tidak terlepaskan bagi masyarakat Korea karena nilai-nilai di dalamnya sangat melekat dalam kehidupan masyarakatnya. Nilai-nilai konfusianisme tersebut dapat dilihat dari realitas kehidupan masyarakat Korea sendiri, di antaranya masih terdapat kecenderungan sikap diskriminasi terhadap kaum perempuan, yaitu terpinggirkannya peran perempuan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, terutama terhadap mereka yang bekerja.

South Korea is a nation with the highest number of adherents of Confucianism; even defeat China itself which is the origin country of Confucianism. Confusianism has raisen changes in various fields, one of them is the order of the values in Korean people. Confucianism is a doctrine that could not be separated with Korean because the values in it are attached to the life of its people. The values ​​of Confucianism can be seen from the reality of Korean life itself, namely there is still tendency of discrimination against women, that marginalized the role of women in daily life, especially to those women who work."
