"The purpose of this study is to investigate the Organizational Commitment (OC) among Malaysian hotel employees. The aim is to identify the perception of employees concerning OC that they have perceived at their workplace and, how gender, education level and range of salary affect them. The data have been collected through sets of questionnare answered by 624 respondents who are hotel employees in Malaysia. The dimensions of OC which are affective, continuance and normative have been analysed using exploratory factor analysis (EFA). The data then been analysed using t-test and analysis of variance (ANOVA) to find the significance differences between gender, level of education and salary scale with the three dimensions of OC. The result of this study reveals that there is no significant diffrences between three dimensions of OC and gender. Findings also show that there are significant differences between education level and three dimensions of OC. Similarly, the results also display significant differences between salary scale and, affective and continuance commitment but not with normative comitment. Managerial implications, limitations and future research directions are also discussed."

"The meaning of technology transfer is so wide but mostly involving some form of technology-relatedexchange. However, in this particular paper, technology transfer is consider as a concept toexamine the process of disseminating knowledge and skills that a person owned to another personin order to generate higher productivity with new approach of producing a particular productor service. Although, many researchers have explored the evolution of technology transfer,nonetheless some drivers are yet to be explored in a Malaysian manufacturing industry. This study,therefore attempts to determine the relationship between absorptive capacity, transfer capacity,communication motivation and learning intent and technology transfer performance. A surveymethodology was used in a Japanese multinational company based in Klang Valley, Malaysia. Atotal of 117 questionnaires were received. Results show that absorptive capacity is the most significantto influence technology transfer performance."

This study arguesthat some Malaysian companies will reposition themselves strategically when internationalizingand that they will focus on other factors or triggering cues when doing so not merely adapting theprevalent price leadership strategy"

"Penelitian ini membahas tentang asesmen kapasitas penanggulangan bencana partisipatif di Kabupaten Flores Timur, provinsi Nusa Tenggara Timur dengan menggunakan instrumen kaji Local Government Self Assessment Tool (LGSAT). Instrumen ini mengukur kapasitas penanggulangan bencana yang secara kolaboratif dimiliki oleh pemangku kepentingan kebencanaan di Kabupaten Flores Timur termasuk pemerintah, lembaga non pemerintah dan masyarakat. Karena sifatnya yang partisipatif maka penilaian tersebut dikonsultasikan bersama dan ditetapkan bersama oleh para pemangku kepentingan kebencanaan di Flores Timur. Hasil analisa memperlihatkan bahwa terdapat beberapa indikator esensi ketangguhan bencana yang masih perlu ditingkatkan kapasitasnya. Instrumen LGSAT yang digunakan juga perlu disesuaikan dengan konteks dan pemahaman di masyarakat.

The research is focused on disaster management participatory capacity assessment in East Flores District, using the Local Government Self Assessment Tool (LGSAT). This tool was used to assess the capacity on disaster management which collaboratively done by various stakeholders in East Flores. Since this was a participatory process, the assessment result was jointly discussed and agreed by all the stakeholders.

The result showed that some indicators from 10 Resiliency Essentials still need to be improved. It is suggested that the LGSAT instrument used in this assessment need to be adjusted with local context and understanding of the community."
