Apoteker di lingkup pemerintahan, khususnya Direktorat Bina Produksi dan Distribusi Kefarmasian yang memiliki tugas membuat regulasi, membina, dan mengawasi produsen dan distributor di bidang farmasi, kosmetika, dan makanan. Hal ini untuk memastikan bahwa produk yang beredar dipasaran telah memenuhi persyaratan dan terjamin mutu serta keamanannya.
