"To solve the global climate change problem, countries require more than efforts at locallevel: multilateral cooperation and climate policy integration are essential for realizing awide-area low-carbon society. Realizing a low-carbon society is not a simple action that addresses global warming while ignoring the quality of human life, but is a process to achieveharmonious sustainable development of economy, environment and society while solving theproblem of global warming simultaneously. According to the principle of “Common but Differentiated Responsibilities", China should stick to the consistent pathway towards emission reduction. Energy saving, followed by fuel transformation and renewable energy utilization, is the most efficient technology China will promote to achieve the emission reduction, In addition, Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) technologies will play an important role after 2050. China's CO2 emissions are likely to peak around 2040 (550pprn) or even earlier in about 2030 (450ppn1) with great efforts. No single energy source is going to be the solution to global warming Development of alternative power sources is the only way towards sustainable development. As a developing country, China's pathway to a lowcarbon economy is absolutely a n0-regret approach with recognizing the uncertainty of climate change Nevertheless, the low-carbon economy is just one of the necessary conditions for achieving sustainable development. "In recent years, as a supplement for conventional large-scale power generation system,gas distributed generation has got much comprehensive attention. This study reviews the cur-rent status, incentive policies and barriers of gas distributed generation in Shanghai. Currently,the gas distributed energy development in Shanghai is facing grim situations: on the one hand,most of the prime movers are imported from abroad with relaitvely high initial cost, and thenatural gas price increases gradually, which lead to the poor economic performance; on theother hand, the relevant institution, mechanism and policy frameworks are imperfect, makinggas distributed energy system difficult to fully enjoy its energy saving advantages. However,considering the huge market potential in Shanghai and successful experiences in some foreigncountries, it is believed that gas distributed generation will be paid more and more attention,and support the low-carbon transition of the electric power industry in Shanghai."

"Program Percepatan Pembangunan Pembangkit Listrik 35.000 MW yang diluncurkan oleh Presiden Joko Widodo pada tanggal 4 Mei 2015 bertujuan meningkatkan akses listrik bagi masyarakat, dan mendukung pertumbuhan sosial ekonomi yang merata di seluruh wilayah Indonesia. Penelitian ini melakukan analisis dampak kebijakan Program 35.000 MW terhadap tingkat pekerjaan dan kemiskinan di Indonesia menggunakan metode Callaway & Sant’Anna Difference-in-Differences (CSDID). Penelitian menggunakan unit analisis balanced data panel dengan tingkat kedalaman data pada level kabupaten/kota di Indonesia dalam kurun waktu 2007 hingga 2022. Hasil estimasi dampak kebijakan menunjukan Program 35.000 MW memiliki dampak signifikan mengurangi jumlah penduduk miskin dengan rata-rata penurunan sebesar 5.208 orang miskin pada Model 1, 4.277 orang miskin pada Model 2, dan 4.284 orang miskin pada Model 3. Berdasarkan subset wilayah hasil analisis menunjukan Program 35.000 MW memiliki dampak yang signifikan terhadap peningkatan tingkat pekerjaan sebesar 1,2% dan penurunan jumlah penduduk miskin sebesar 16.034 orang di wilayah Jawa Madura Bali

The 35,000 MW Power Plant Development Acceleration Program launched by President Joko Widodo on May 4 2015 aims to increase electricity access for the public, and support equitable socio-economic growth throughout Indonesia. This research analyzes the impact of the 35,000 MW Program policy on employment and poverty levels in Indonesia using the Callaway & Sant'Anna Difference-in-Differences (CSDID) method. The research uses a balanced panel data with data depth at the district/city level in Indonesia for the period 2007 to 2022. The results of the policy impact estimation show that the 35,000 MW Program has a significant impact on reducing the number of poor people with an average reduction of 5,208 poor people in Model 1, 4,277 poor people in Model 2, and 4,284 poor people in Model 3. Based on a subset of regions, the analysis results show The 35,000 MW program had a significant impact on increasing the employment rate by 1.2%, reducing the number of poor people by 16,034 people in the Java Madura Bali region"
