"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji hubungan antara faktor-faktor Vision and Goals, Social Networks, Performance-based Reward System, Utilization of IT Application (IT Utilization), dan Centralization terhadap proses KM yaitu employee knowledge acquisition capabilities dan employee knowledge application capabilities. Selain itu penelitian ini juga mengkaji hubungan antara yaitu employee knowledge acquisition capabilities terhadap employee knowledge application capabilities. Pengujian model dan pengolahan data penelitandilakukan dengan metode SEM melalui aplikasi LISREL 9.2. Dari hasil pengujian bahwa Performance-based Reward System dan Utilization of IT Application (IT Utilization) berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap employeeknowledge acquisition capability. Employee knowledge acquisition capability juga terbukti berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap employee knowledge application capability. Hal tersebut membuktikan bahwa untuk mencapaiemployee knowledge application capability harus melalui employee knowledge acquisition capability.

"In most rule-based expert system, building of rules can easily be done. Knowledge engineer or expertdoes not have to do any work specifying rules and how they are linked to each other. Sometime theknowledge engineer or expert can reference rules or facts that have not yet been created. It seems to be asimple and an instant work. The problem due to the performance of the knowledge will not occur until thenumber of niles is getting higher. Some problem may appear in the form of inconsistent rules,unreachable rules, redundant rule and rotating chain of rules. In order to solve that problem and to achievethat mentioned performance, a rule-based knowledge acquisition system using Ternary Grid is developed.This system acquires knowledge from human expert using grid or matrix system. Ternary Grid representsa model of rule-based knowledge in a grid or matrix format."
