"Tesis ini berfokus pada eksistensi ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) di tengah tren bilateralisme kawasan Asia Tenggara. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis strategi yang digunakan pemerintah negara-negara di kawasan Asia Tenggara dan negara-negara ekstra-regional khususnya Tiongkok dan Amerika Serikat di ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF). Aktor-aktor tersebut saling menjaga satu sama lain untuk terlibat secara konstruktif di kawasan berbasis norma-norma kooperatif yang dapat membantu mereka untuk mencapai kepentingan nasional dan mencegah munculnya hegemoni intramural di wilayah Asia Pasifik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Selain itu, penelitian ini menggunakan kerangka Teori Balance of Influence yang diwujudkan kedalam strategi Hedging untuk menganalisis fenomena yang terjadi. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa meskipun berada di tengah-tengah tren bilateralisme, aktor-aktor yang terlibat didalam ARF tetap mempertahankan forum ini karena model dialog dan penyelesaian ARF telah berhasil menjaga perimbangan kekuatan-kekuatan ekstra-regional di kawasan.

This research focuses on the existence of ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) within the Bilateralism Trend in Southeast Asia. The purpose of this study was to analyze the strategy of Southeast Asian governments and extra-regional powers used (especially China and US) to keep each other constructively and cooperatively engaged in the region and to promote rule and norm-based arrangements and principles that help them to achieve their national interest and deny intramural hegemony in the Asia Pacific region.

This study used qualitative approach. In addition, this study uses the framework of Balance of Influence Theory that embodied into Hedging Strategy to analyze the phenomenon that occurs. This study found that despite the bilateralism trends, the actors that involved in the ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) decided to retain this forum because its dialogue and settlement models have managed to maintain the balance of extra-regional state power in Southeast Asia."

Mengadopsi dua belas indikator tampilan personalitas dari BBCi, pengalaman pengguna situs Kompas.com diukur menggunakan Bipolar Emotional Response Testing (BERT) berbasis eksperimen. Pengukuran ini menggunakan tampilan berita ASEAN Community 2015 yang membandingkan pada lima perangkat berbeda yaitu komputer dekstop, laptop, tablet, PC, tablet/pad dan smartphone. Dari pengujian validitas dan reliabilitas dengan KMO sphericity dan Alpha's Cronbach terdapat delapan indikator yang dapat dianalisis lebih lanjut. Selanjutnya pengolahan dan analisis grafik bipolar menunjukkan respon emosional berada pada rentang sedang dan tinggi pada semua perangkat, kecuali indikator kecerahan pada perangkat komputer dekstop. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa tampilan personalitas situs berita Kompas.com tentang ASEAN Community masih dikhususkan untuk diakses melaluomkomouter dekstop. Di sisi lain, faktor teknis seperti ukuran layar dan kemampuan perangkat menampilkan interface menentukan pengalaman emosional pengguna terhadap tampilan personalitas sirus berita online.

Indonesia was ready to face ASEAN Community in 2015. As one of site digital news and leading online in Indonesia, Kompas.com gave pay attention to the issues relate to ASEAN Community 2015. This study was more focused not only in content news of Kompas.com but also personality display of site news in kind of platform was available. This thing caused website unconscious as the new publishing and used as news site that accessed in the network. Website also developed by providing positive experience fpr users. One of method with pay attention personality attention related to design and website aesthetic. However, distinctive structure on kind of devices used to accessed website that showed the different of user and emotional response. Adopting twelve indicators personality display from BBCi, experience user in Kompas.com measured using Bipolar Emotional Response (BERT) based on experiment. The measurement used news display of ASEAN Community 2015 that compared five technology devices, they were dekstop computer, laptop, tablet/pad, PC, and smartphone. From the validity and reliabilty experiment with KMO sphericity and Alpha's Cronbach got eight indicators which analyzed. Furthermore, managing and bipolar graphic analyses showed emotional response in medium and high range for all devices, except the lighting of devices dekstop computer. This thing showed that personality display in news site Kompas.com about ASEAN Community still devoted to accessed through dekstop computer. In another side, technique factor such as layer measurement and capability devices showed interface that determined emotional experience users to personality display in online news site."
