"This book addresses reliability and energy efficiency of on-chip networks using cooperative error control. It describes an efficient way to construct an adaptive error control codec capable of tracking noise conditions and adjusting the error correction strength at runtime. Methods are also presented to tackle joint transient and permanent error correction, exploiting the redundant resources already available on-chip. A parallel and flexible network simulator is also introduced, which facilitates examining the impact of various error control methods on network-on-chip performance."

Reconfigurable Manufacturing System (RMS) is a manufacturing system that has an ability to reconfigure hardware, software and control resources at all of the functional and organizational levels, in order to quickly adjust production capacity and functionality in response to sudden changes in market or in regulatory requirements. This thesis discusses the design of simulation model of RMS to learn the characteristics and behaviors of RMS based on the production result and the use of production time. The characteristics of RMS discussed in RMS simulation model are scalability, convertibility and integrability. This model was created using object-oriented modeling software: Plant Simulation 9.0. From the simulation result and analysis, the characteristics of scalability, convertibility and integrability could be better understood, thus it would be useful in the design of the RMS in the manufacturing industry."

The tremendous increase of the production capacity and economic globalization, the current manufacturing environment is increasingly volatile and cannot be guessed. The manufacturing environment has a major impact on the performance of the manufacturing system. This gives rise to a phenomenon known as Mass Customization. The existence of this phenomenon required a manufacturing system that can be quickly and economically adjusted in functions and capacity according to a change in the market. This can be met by a Reconfigurable Manufacturing System that is powered by Reconfigurable Machine Tools, which have six characteristics: modularity, integrability, customization, scalability, convertibility, and diagnosability. As the backbone of the RMS, the RMT must have such six characteristics. To ensure that the design of the RMT has six characteristics, this research is designing a Framewrok for RMT design process."

This thesis discusses the development of simulation model in order to design the RMS which is observed based on the production result and the use of production time. This model was made by using the method of object-oriented simulation. From the results of simulation and analysis models can be concluded that the RMS simulation model already contains the rules of the six characteristics of RMS (scalability, convertibility, integrability, modularity, customization and diagnosability) so it can be used as a tool in the design and implementation of RMS in manufacturing industry."

ABSTRACTThis thesis has presented a rectifier design for wireless power transfer applications with novel topology as an initial study. This topology combines and modifies the adaptive reconfigurable rectifier with the active class E rectifier. Modifications made were to replace the NMOS switch in the active class E rectifier to PMOS in the active class E rectifier topology and change the number of diodes and transistors used in the adaptive reconfigurable rectifier topology. Switching switches to PMOS increases efficiency and produces better Waveform output. Increasing the number of diodes and the number of transistors prevents the diodes from reaching the breakdown voltage, thereby increasing efficiency and allowing the circuit to maintain and increase efficiency at higher input values. The proposed circuit consists of the PMOS IRF9Z24 switch on the active class E rectifier and 3 diodes -3 transistors on the adaptive reconfigurable rectifier, which has an efficiency of 76% at 5 V."
