"Proses komodifikasi yaitu eksploitasi terhadap perempuan dengan menurunkan nilainya sebagai manusia menjadi komoditas mengambil bentuk baru pada dunia digital saat ini. Utamanya melalui cara media merepresentasikan perempuan menggunakan tanda-tanda dalam informasi yang disampaikan kepada masyarakat untuk tujuan tertentu yaitu keuntungan kapital dan pelanggengan ideologi patriarkis. Hal ini dikarenakan, media arus utama pada dasarnya juga merupakan agen aktif yang memiliki kekuatan untuk mengkonstruksi realitas. Berangkat dari kondisi tersebut, penulis melakukan analisis terhadap tiga pemberitaan dari media arus utama dalam tiga portal berita daring yaitu Hot.Detik.com, Kompas.Tv, dan Cnnindonesia.com menggunakan metode analisis Semiotika Ferdinand de Saussure dengan mengambil kasus Perdana Menteri Finlandia Sanna Marin yang terjerat skandal video pesta pribadi periode bulan Agustus 2022 untuk melihat bagaimana komodifikasi perempuan terjadi melalui tanda seperti diksi, gaya bahasa, dan tutur. Tanda yang terkumpul kemudian diidentifikasi menggunakan konsep lima jenis citra perempuan dalam media. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa ketiga teks berita dalam tiga portal daring melakukan komodifikasi atas Sanna Marin sebagai perempuan beserta tubuh dan atributnya walaupun narasi isi berita mengambil sudut pandang yang berbeda.

The process of commodification, which is the exploitation of women by reducing their value as human beings into commodities, takes a new form in today's digital world. Mainly through the way media represents women using signs in the information conveyed to the public for certain purposes, such as capital gains and the perpetuation of patriarchal ideology. This is because, in essence, mainstream media is also an active agent that has the power to construct reality. Based on these conditions, the author analyzes three reports from the mainstream media in three online news portals, namely Hot.Detik.com, Kompas.Tv, and Cnnindonesia.com using Ferdinand de Saussure's Semiotics analysis method by taking the case of Finland Prime Minister Sanna Marin who was caught in a private party video scandal in August 2022 to see how the commodification of women occurs through signs such as diction, language style, and speech. The collected signs are then identified using the concept of five types of images of women in the media. The results of the analysis show that the three news texts in three online portals commodify Sanna Marin as a woman including her body and attributes even though the narrative of the news content takes a different point of view."
