"Surface dressing has been a popular maintenance alternative for many years. The inservice performance of surface dressing relates to balancing properties such as skid resistance against changes in time as the aggregate particles embed into the underlying road and react to trafficking. This paper summaries the development of predictive laboratory methods to better understand the inter-relationships between embedment and how performance characteristics such discussed. The findings of this laboratory based research appear to rank materials according to their in-service performance and should result in more sustainable use of limited high quality materials for road maintenance and construction purposes. "

"ABSTRAKThe use of fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) composites for the seismic retrofit of columns and piers, flexural strengthening of beams and girders, and strengthening of slabs has been fairly well established on a structural basis. However, aspects related to materials selection and use, design detailing, fracture and failure mechanisms, and durability are still not well understood. The functional efficiency of the rehabilitated structure is largely dependent on materials-related issues, which are highlighted in this paper, emphasizing effects pertaining to constituent materials, interfaces, and overall systems response. Major implications of processing and fabrication schemes are highlighted focusing on materials use efficiency, potential of defect formation, and effects on durability. Examples of the importance of detailing are shown, and design guidelines pertaining to materials are discussed."

"Ciujung Priority Civil Works Package 3 adalah paket pekerjaan penanggulangan banjir yang dikerjakan oleh PT. PP-AMKA KSO, merupakan proyek yang menggunakan dana pinjaman dari Asian Devlopment Bank. Sebagai bentuk tanggung jawab Indonesia proyek ini diharapkan dapat memberikan manfaat bagi masyarakat sekitarnya Sungai Ciujung. Praktik keinsinyuran ini bermaksud untuk mengevaluasi progres pekerjaan di Proyek Ciujung Priority Civil Works Package 3. Hasil evaluasi penulis deviasi progress pada bulan 13 waktu pelaksanaan sebesar – 14.970 %, kemudian penulis mencari langkah-langkah penanganan pelaksanaan pekerjaan dengan cara melakukan Mutual Check, Rekayasa Desain, dan Contract Change Order (CCO), langkah tersebut diambil untuk mengejar ketertinggalan progress. Kemudian hasil dari evaluasi yang diterapkan dilapangan untuk mampu mengejar progress pekerjaan sesuai dengan progress yang direncanakan.

Ciujung Priority Civil Works Package 3 is a flood management work package carried out by PT. PP-AMKA KSO, is a project that uses loan funds from the Asian Devlopment Bank. As a form of Indonesia's responsibility, this project is expected to provide benefits to the surrounding community of the Ciujung River. This engineering practice intends to evaluate the progress of work in the Ciujung Priority Civil Works Package 3 Project. The results of the author's evaluation of the deviation of progress in the 13th month of implementation time of – 14,970%, then the author looked for steps to handle the implementation of the work by conducting Mutual Checks, Design Engineering, and Contract Change Orders (CCO), these steps were taken to catch up with the progress. Then the results of the evaluation applied in the field to be able to pursue the progress of the work in accordance with the planned progress."
