"Penelitian ini membahas bahasa SMS yang digunakan oleh mahasiswa di Jakarta ketika berkomunikasi dengan tiga mitra tutur yang berbeda, yaitu kepada dosen, orangtua, dan teman. Bahasa SMS yang digunakan dengan ketiga mitra tutur tersebut mempunyai variasi. Hal ini disebabkan hubungan kedekatan pengirim SMS, dalam hal ini mahasiswa, dengan ketiga mitra tutur tersebut juga berbeda, selain status yang juga berbeda. Selain melalui SMS, seiring perkembangan zaman, media yang digunakan sebagai sumber data juga dapat berupa BBM, line, dan whatsapp. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menjelaskan variasi bahasa SMS yang digunakan mahasiswa di Jakarta. Secara umum, ada dugaan apakah bahasa SMS merupakan bahasa lisan yang dituliskan ataukah memang bahasa tulisan. Variasi bahasa tersebut terlihat pada bagaimana mahasiswa memberikan salam sebagai pembuka dan penutup SMS, serta bagaimana variasi pilihan kata, struktur kalimat, dan penyingkatan digunakan.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan ragam bahasa SMS dapat berupa bahasa tulisan maupun bahasa lisan yang dituliskan. Hal tersebut bergantung pada salah satu faktor yang memengaruhi penggunaan bahasa SMS tersebut, yaitu mitra tutur.
his research is analyzed SMS language that used by college students in Jakarta when they communicate with three different hearers, those are to their lecturer, parents, and friend. SMS language that used to communicate to those three hearers has the variation. It?s caused the relationship between SMS sender, in this case is college students, with three hearers that also different, besides the differents status. Besides through SMS, due to the technology development, the data in this research also from BBM, line, and whatsapp. The research purposes is to explain the variety of SMS language that performed by college students in Jakarta. In general, there is a suspicion whether the SMS language is a spoken language that is written or is written language. Those language variation is seen in how students give greeting as opening and closing in SMS, as well as how variation in diction, sentence structure, and shortened words.
The result showed that SMS language can be the written language nor the spoken language that is written. It relies on one of the factors that affect in usage of the SMS language, that is the hearers.

"Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dialektologi yang bertujuan untuk memetakan distribusi variasi bahasa dan istilah pertanian di Kabupaten Karawang. Hasil penelitian ini juga dibandingkan dengan dua penelitian terdahulu di tahun 1990 dan 1996. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga bertujuan untuk menyusun glosarium istilah pertanian di Kabupaten Karawang. Penelitian dibatasi pada tataran leksikon. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode pupuan lapangan dengan 50 titik pengamatan, 100 informan, dan daftar tanyaan sebanyak 200 kosakata swadesh dan 125 istilah pertanian. Teknik analisis data menggunakan peta bahasa, isoglos, dan dialektometri. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa terdapat tiga daerah pakai kosakata, yaitu kosakata Betawi, kosakata Jawa, dan kosakata Sunda. Hal ini masih sesuai dengan hasil kedua penelitian terdahulu, tetapi saat ini telah mengalami perubahan daerah distribusi.

This research uses dialectology to mapping distribution of language variation and agricultural terms in Karawang regency. The results of this research are compared to two former research in 1990 and 1996. Besides, this research is also to compose a glossary of agricultural terms in Karawang regency. The conduct of this research is limited to the lexicon level. Method that being used was field research method with 50 observatory points, 100 informants, and list of questions which consist of 200 swadesh vocabulary and 125 agricultural terms. Data analytical technique used language map, isogloss, and dialectrometric. Result shown that there are three vocabulary using areas, which are Betawi vocabulary, Java vocabulary, and Sunda vocabulary. This is still suitable with two former research result. However, the areas have been changed nowadays."

Akan tetapi, seiring perkembangan zaman, media yang digunakan sebagai sumber data tidak hanya printscreen SMS saja, tetapi juga BBM, line, dan whatsapp. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menjelaskan mengenai bahasa SMS yang merupakan bahasa tulis atau bahasa lisan yang dituliskan dengan cara mendeskripsikan bentuk-bentuk variasi berbahasa Indonesia yang dilakukan oleh mahasiswa di Jakarta melalui gaya bahasa SMS-nya kepada tiga mitra tutur yang berbeda, yaitu dosen, orangtua, dan teman. Bentuk-bentuk variasi tersebut diklasifikasikan ke dalam empat subjek, yaitu salam, pilihan kata atau diksi, struktur kalimat, dan penyingkatan kata.

This research is focused and analyzed SMS language that usually used by college students in Jakarta when they communicate with three different hearers, those are to their lecturer, parents, and friend. However, due to the technology development, the data in this research is not only from SMS printscreen, but also from BBM, line, and whatsapp. The research purposes is to explain the variety of SMS language, whether including to written language or written from the spoken language by describing the variety of bahasa Indonesia that performed by college students in Jakarta through their SMS language to three different hearers, those are their lecturer, parents, and friend. The four of that variety is classified into four subjects, those are greeting, diction, sentence structure, and shortened words."

"Makalah ini membahas tinjauan sosiolinguistik terhadap sebuah iklan yaitu iklan Rosѐe Hoegaarden (bir pink). Bir adalah salah satu minuman yang terkenal di dunia yang disukai dan dikonsumsi oleh banyak orang setiap hari, terlebih di belahan dunia yang memiliki 4 musim. Saat ini terdapat variasi yang baru dari bir, yaitu bir yang berwarna pink. Bir pink adalah salah satu produk yang cukup menarik perhatian masyarakat. Bir ini berbeda dengan bir pada umumnya, karena warnanya merah muda dan terlihat identik dengan perempuan karenanya rasanya lebih manis daripada bir pada umumnya. Pada iklan bir pink juga terlihat perbedaan dengan bir pada umumnya, karena biasanya dalam sebuah iklan bir, laki-laki selalu mendominasi dan menjadi pemeran utama yang disorot. Dalam makalah ini, penulis menganalisis iklan Rosѐe Hoegaarden (bir pink) berdasarkan S-P-E-A-K-I-N-G yang merupakan singkatan dari Setting and Scene, Participants, Ends, Act Sequences, Key, Instrumentalities, Norms, Genres yang dikemukakan oleh Dell Hymes. Dari model tersebut, iklan dapat dipaparkan secara terperinci. Penilitian ini menggunakan metode kepustakaan karena dengan metode tersebut, peneliti dapat menggambarkan dan memaparkan bagaimana iklan tersebut ditinjau dari segi S-P-E-A-K-I-N-G. Data yang dianalisis sebanyak 4 buah iklan bir Hoegaarden dengan berbagai versi. Setelah dianalisis dari keseluruhan aspek yang diteliti, ada beberapa aspek yang paling menonjol yaitu Setting (Latar dan Tempat), Participants (Pelaku), Ends (Tujuan), dan Norms (Norma). Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa sebuah iklan dapat diteliti dan dipaparkan berdasarkan S-P-E-A-K-I-N-G.

This article discusses about a sociolinguistic review to an ad for Rosѐe Hoegaarden (the pink beer). Beer is one of the world most famous beverages which is liked and consumed by many people everyday, especially in parts of the world that has four seasons. Currently there are a whole lot of new variations of beer in the market, i.e. the pink beer. The pink beer is one of the products that caught people’s attention. This beer is different with other beers in general because of the unusual pink colour and often associated with women because the taste is sweeter than any other beers in general. In the pink beer commercial we can also see the distinction with the other brands because usually the ads are men orientated and they are the main focus of the ads. In this article, the author analyzed the Rosѐe Hoegaarden ad based upon S-P-E-A-K-I-N-G which is an abbreviation for Setting and Scene, Participants, Ends, Act Sequences, Key, Instrumentalities, Norms, Genres proposed by Dell Hymes. From these models, advertising can be described in details. This research uses literature methods because with this method researchers are able to describe and explain how the ads are reviewed by the S-P-E-A-K-I-N-G terms. Data were analyzed by analyzing 4 Hoegaarden beer commercials with various versions. After all aspects that are being studied are analyzed, there are certain prominents aspects which really stands out that is the Setting and Scene, Participants, Ends and Norms. It shows that an advertisement can be studied and presented based on the S-P-E-A-K-I-N-G model.

"Paper ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi nomina yang kerap muncul pada laras fotografi studio bagi pemula. Dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif dan deskriptif, penulis menganalisis dua artikel yang berasal dari website Belanda dan Belgia: "Studiofotografie: de basis van het werken met studioflitsers" dan "Begin je eigen fotostudio thuis. Hou alles zelf in de hand". Dari kedua artikel, penulis menemukan tujuh nomina yang kerap digunakan pada kedua artikel. Dari ketujuh nomina ini, tidak semua memiliki makna yang sesuai dengan makna dasar dalam bahasa Belandanya. Beberapa kata benda juga merupakan saduran dari bahasa asing, yaitu bahasa Inggris. Beberapa kata lainnya juga ditulis dalam bahasa Inggris karena tidak memiliki padanan kata dalam bahasa Belanda. Untuk pemahaman yang tepat akan nomina tersebut dibutuhkan keterangan lainnya.

This paper aims to identify the most frequent nouns in the register of the studio photography for beginners. Using the qualitative and descriptive methods, the writer analyzed two articles from a Dutch- and Belgium website: "Studiofotografie: de basis van het werken met studioflitsers" and "Begin je eigen fotostudio thuis. Hou alles zelf in de hand". From the two articles, the writer found seven nouns that were always used in both articles. From those nouns, not all the words have the same meaning in Dutch. Some of the nouns were translated from English to Dutch and some of them remained in their original form, lacking of comparison in Dutch. To understand the meaning of the register, these nouns must be combined with other words.
