"Dalam Arsitektur, Romantik sering dianggap sebagai gaya nostalgia pada masa lampau, contohnya gaya Gotik. Romantik juga dapat dianggap sebagai kombinasi dari berbagai gaya. Rijksmuseum adalah salah satu bangunan bergaya Romantik di Belanda. Rijksmuseum dibangun pada 1876 dan didesain oleh seorang arsitek Belanda, P.J.H Cuypers. Cuypers menggunakan dua gaya yang berbeda. Tujuan dari artikel ini untuk mengetahui jenis gaya Romantik apa yang diterapkan pada Rijksmuseum. Hasil artikel ini dapat terlihat bahwa desain yang diterapkan pada Rijksmuseum merupakan gabungan dari gaya Gotik dan Renaissance.

In Architecture, Romantic often consider as nostalgia from the past styles, such as the Gothic style. Romantic could be transformed as the combination of variety styles. Rijksmuseum Amsterdam is one of the Romantic building in Netherlands. It was bulit in 1876 and designed by Dutch Architect P.J.H Cuypers. Cuypers combined two different styles.

The aim of this article to identify what kind of Romantic style which is strongly applied in Rijksmuseum Amsterdam. The result of this article show that the design of Rijksmuseum Amsterdam was the combination of Gothic and Renaissance elements."

"Artikel ini menganalisis salah satu aliran arsitektural, yaitu Amsterdamse School dan realisasi seniman dalam merepresentasikan ekspresinya tentang pelayaran yang ideal di bangunan Het Scheepvaarthuis di Amsterdam. Penulisan dalam artikel ini menggunakan metode eksposisi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ciri-ciri utama aliran arsitektural Amsterdamse School ditemukan dalam bangunan Het Scheepvaarthuis. Selain itu, ekspresi arsitek tentang pelayaran di masa keemasan Belanda, yaitu di masa VOC memainkan peranan penting dalam desain eksterior maupun interior bangunan Het Scheepvaarthuis.

This article analyses one of the architectural style which is called Amsterdamse School in Het Scheepvaarthuis (The Shipping House) in Amsterdam and the expressions of the architect in represent the idea of shipping on The Shipping House building. This article used exposition method. The purpose of this article to show the main characteristics of the Amsterdamse School are founded in The Shipping House Amsterdam. In addition, Dutch Shipping history also related with Dutch Golden Age, in that period the glorious past of the East India Company (VOC) play a big role in exterior and interior design in The Shipping House."
