"entering the 21st century, Indonesian telecommunication industri have totally changed as the reformation era begins its journey on the ruling of telecommunication with the 36th act of 1999, which has the essence not only about giving new lecenses and implementation of telecommunication technology, but also about liberalization on telecommunication sector it self with the increasing part from private industries, demostic market access opening, and regulation changes that is more market oriented. with those changes, it is clear that anyone-without any exception-who wants to run this promising business, needs strategy in managing, defending, and increasing the quality of the products and services as well as developing the common business with technology development and market demands. smart card public phone (TUK-S) as one of the public phone services given by telkom is expected to reach all segments of community and given new solution in communication. TUK-S is one of the alternative for public to communicate, which generally is very easy to be expanded in terms of services types, very easy to be increased in technology, dan can also be combined with any other Telkom's services. the alternatives given by Telkom is not only to gain profit, but more to it is to fulfil the consumer's needs of communication. regretfully, due to the fast growing development in telecommunication industry made Telkom feels that this business is one of the areas in Indonesia. in this thesis, the writer would like to change the paradigm that describing this business as an unprofiting business for Telkom. the substance in this research shall more be focused on public phone services in general, and how the condition, location and position from terminals according to product charateristics on the services. and also from the marketing aspects which is the marketing mix. from this research, it can be gained that the location of TUK-S with a profile such as airports, hotels, travels, and arthops are the profiles most productively seen from the charging productivity that can be obtained. this result is also supported by one of the relocation testing which has been done within the months of July until September 2002. from the testing, it has known that there's charging productivity which at least gives 100-5000 in percentage. conclusion of this research can be seen in potensial profiles and productive, which among those are Airports, Hotels, travels, and art shops that can be used as a model by telkom in order to managing the products or other services."

Efektifitas penggunaan teknologi jaringan komunikasi tergantung kepada unjuk kerja dan kemampuan akses jaringan tersebut. Suatu organisasi enterprise memerlukan solusi akses yang fleksibel dan memiliki kemampuan untuk mengadopsi teknologi dan aplikasi dalam cakupan yang luas. Sebagai suatu organisasi enterprise, PT. Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) telah mengintegrasikan unit bisnisnya dengan memanfaatkan teknologi jaringan komunikasi. Namun dalam penggunaan jaringan tersebut dalam proses bisnis sehari-hari, ditemukan berbagai masalah. Melalui tesis ini penulis mencoba untuk memberikan solusi desain alternatif untuk meningkatkan etektifitas jaringan komunikasi di PT. Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero). Desain difokuskan pada pemecahan masalah trafik dan keamanan dengan mengoptimalisasikan penggunaan router. Dua fitur router yang digunakan dalam desain adalah Quality of Service (QoS) and Access Control List (ACL). Dengan menggunakan Priority Queuing dari Qos, kita dapat mengkonfigurasikan router untuk memberlakukan paket-paket dalam tingkatan prioritas yang berbeda. ACL memberikan pengamanan jaringan dengan memproteksi akses data oleh pengguna yang tidak berwenang.

ABSTRACTMost organizations, that want to streamline operations and reduce costs while gaining the competitive advantages, are recognizing that success relies on the integration of processes in their everyday business. Communication technology is one of the key support to improve communications between employees, customers, and suppliers; increase productivity and efficiency, and enhance customer satisfaction to make businesses more competitive. The effectiveness of communication technology solutions depends on the performance and capabilities of the access solution. Enterprise need a flexible and affordable access solution that supports a full range of technologies and applications.As an enterprise organization, PT. Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) integrate all it's business proccess using network communication technology. During the use of the network in daily business activity, some problems arise, such as trafic and security problems.Through this thesis, the autor tries to provide alternatif design solusions to gain the efectiveness of the network communication, in PT. Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero). The design is focused in solving the traffic and security problems, by optimalizing the use of network router. Two router's features that is configured in the design are Quality of Service (QoS) and Access Control List (ACL). By using QoS's Priority Queuing methodology, we can configure the router to dispatch packets at different prioroties, based on a flexible criteria scheme. ACL provides protection by preventing unauthorized users from accessing confidential corporate data."

Dengan menggunakan SIG maka diharapkan akan lebih mudah bag; para pengambil keputusan untuk mengetahui lokasi tempat ibadah beserta irformasi yang tersedta yang ada di Kotamadya Denpasar. Karena dengan adanya SJG, maka akan dtgambarkan pula letak atau lokasi dati tempat ibadah pada kondisi yang sesungguhnya dalam bentuk peta Denpasar, Pada Thesis ini, akan dibuat suatu Sistem Irformasi Geogrqfis (SJG) berbasis Mobile Android dengan menggunakan Zachman Framework untuk informasi tempat peribadatan yang ada di Kotamadya Denpasar, yaitu: Masjid, Gereja, Pura, Vihara dan Kelenteng. Disini nantinya akan didapatkan suatu analisa-analisa dan visualisasi dalam bentuk Mobile Android yang dapat digunakan sebagai referensi untuk para pengambii keputusan terutama dalam pencarian lokasi peribadatan di Kotamadya Denpasar."
