"Penggunaan media sosial dan munculnya kegiatan eating out telah menjadi penanda berkembangnya gaya hidup masyarakat. Perkembangan gaya hidup tersebut berkaitan dengan berkembangnya industri restoran dan kafe, sebagai contoh tempat eating out, khususnya dari segi desain. Hal itu menjadikan keduanya kini tidak lagi hanya sebagai tempat untuk memenuhi kebutuhan pangan, namun juga menjadi setting untuk merepresentasikan sesuatu melalui perilaku berpose. Desain ruang yang mengarah kepada elemen dan prinsip desain membentuk kualitas visual tertentu. Desain pada ruang menjadi pendukung serta batasan dalam perilaku berpose. Semua itu terekam dalam foto instagram yang dikategorikan menjadi foto yang berorientasi subjek dan/atau objek.

The use of social media and the rise of eating out activity have become symbol of people's lifestyle. Development of lifestyle is associated with the development of restaurant and cafe industry, as eating out places, especially in terms of design. Restaurant and cafe nowadays are not just places to fulfill the needs of food, but also settings to represent something through posing behavior. Space design leads to the elements and principles of design has created a certain visual quality. The designs support but yet restrict the posing behavior. These posings are captured on instagram photos which can be categorized into photos which have subject and/or object oriented."

"ABSTRAK
Gaya hidup adalah perpaduan antara kebutuhan ekspresi diri dan harapan kelompok terhadap seseorang dalam bertindak berdasarkan pada norma yang berlaku. Gaya hidup di sini merupakan perilaku individu-individu dalam mengkonsumsi barang atau waktu luang. Perilaku dan gaya hidup yang sama menjadikan individu tersebut tergabung dalam sebuah komunitas dan melakukan ekspresi dan interaksi dengan komunitasnya. Ruang publik jalan menjadi salah satu tempat kegiatan komunitas berlangsung. Dengan latar belakang gaya hidup tertentu, komunitas memiliki ekspresi dalam menggunakan ruang atau ekspresi spasial yang berbeda satu sama lain. Ekspresi tersebut dilakukan di ruang jalan karena ruang publik lainnya
disinyalir tidak dapat menampung kebutuhan komunitas tersebut. Maka bentuk ekspresi penggunaan ruang atau ekspresi spasial dari sebuah kelompok hidup menjadi kualitas ruang jalan yang memenuhi kebutuhan komunitas untuk berekspresi dan berinteraksi.

ABSTRACT
Lifestyle is a blend of self-expression needs and expectations of the group against a person in the act based on the prevailing norms. Lifestyle here is the behavior of individuals in consuming goods and leisure. Same behaviors and lifestyles make a person involved in a community and do the expression and interaction with the community.
Street public space becomes one of community activities take place.
Against the backdrop of a certain lifestyle, the community has an expression in use of space or spatial expression which differ from each other. Expression was performed in street space because other public spaces was allegedly unable to accommodate the needs of the community. Then the form of expression the use of space or spatial expression of a group of life become quality street spaces that
meets the needs of the community to express and interact."

"Iklan yang bermunculan di media massa tidak hanya bertujuan memberikan informasi, namun juga melakukan persuasi. Salah satu cara yang dilakuan adalah dengan mengonstruksi citra tertentu dalam Man. Citra yang dimunculkan adalah gaya hidup masyarakat kontemporer yanbg dimunculkan lewat Sejumlah penggambaran praktik sosial. Namun persoalannya apakah penggambaran ini bertentangan dengan etika atau tidak. Sebab penggambaran gaya hidup kontemporer yang berlebihan dapat menjurus ke arah manipulasi yang potensial melanggar etika. Penelitian ini untuk menemukan bagaimana dan apa saja citra gaya hidup masyarakat kontemporer yang digambarkan dalam iklan, peneliti akan menggunakan teknik semiotik. ini dilakukan karena gaya hidup masyarakal kontemporer digambarkan dalam iklan Iewat tanda-tanda_ Sampel penelitian ini adalah iklan apartemen. Iklan apartemen dijadikan sampel penelitian karena produk apartemen merupakan salah satu ciri dan simbol masyarakat kontemporer perkotaan. Setelah membaca tanda-tanda dalam iklan dan menemukan bagaimana dan apa penggambaran manusia kontemporer, maka peneliti akan melakukann penelitian etis terhadap iklan tersebut. Etika komunikasi digunakan karena iklan adalah proses komunikasi yang melibatkan prinspi-prisnip komunikasi. Sedangakan Etika Pariwara Indonesia digunakan karena ini merupakan hasil kesepakatan praktisi periklanan di Indonesia untuk merespon persoalan-persolan etika yang teriadi di Indonesia. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa iklan apartemen yang dileliti memperlihatkan sebuah usaha penggambaran gaya hidup masyarakat kontemporer yang cenderung melanggar etika.

This research, try to lind out how and what the contemporary society lifestyle that is represented in the advertisement. The researchers will use technique of semlotic. This is technique was chosen because the lifestyle of contemporary society cand be recognized thmugh advertising signs. The object of this research is apartment advertisement. This object was chosen because apartment has become the symbols of contemporary society. After reading the signs in the adavertisement and lind what and how the depiction ol contemporary society in the advertisement, the researcher we will conduct an ethical assessment of the advertisement. Ethics of communication is used because the advertisement is a process that involves the communication principal. The results of this research indicate that apartement advertisement gives a description the contemporary society lifestyle that tends against communication ethics."

Dikarenakan oleh perubahan yang disebabkan globalisasi, yang membawa
pengaruh buruk pada kualitas lingkungan, maka penting bagi arsitektur untuk
melakukan pendekatan yang bertanggung jawab terhadap alam dengan
menyediakan lingkungan yang sehat dan berkelanjutan untuk tempat huni
manusia. Gagasan untuk menciptakan ?ruang sehat? dalam arsitektur mengarah ke
upaya untuk menciptakan desain aktif yang memicu gaya hidup sehat dan
aktivitas fisik melalui fitur seperti penggunaan lahan campuran, walkability, pusat
olahraga dan kesehatan, ruang komunitas terbuka, dan ruang hijau. Usaha lain
adalah mengintegrasikan desain dengan unsur-unsur alam dan teknologi yang
efisien untuk mengurangi konsumsi energi dan air tanpa mengurangi tingkat
kenyamanan atau standar huni. Melalui penelititan yang mendalam pada arsitektur
yang berkelanjutan, konteks dan analisis tapak, studi kasus, dan observasi
langsung, tulisan ini akan menguraikan aspek dalam mencapai gaya hidup sehat
melalui desain arsitektur, yang disajikan melalui berbagai konsep desain dan
aplikasi pada tapak. Karya tulis ini berdasarkan proyek studio penulis yang
terletak di Perth, Australia Barat.

"Penelitian ini membahas mengenai pencitraan gaya hidup kelas menengah melalui representasi ruang yang diproduksi sesuai dengan konteks spasial dan sosial yang ada. Representasi ruang ditinjau merujuk pada konsep produksi ruang oleh Henri Lefebvre yaitu dengan cara merasakan, memahami, dan mengalami ruang yang ada perceived-conceived-lived. Sementara konteks sosial yang dititikberatkan untuk mengangkat fenomena gaya hidup adalah kelas sosial. Penelitian dilakukan secara kualitatif dengan melakukan observasi lapangan pada beberapa mal kelas menengah di daerah Jakarta Selatan dan ditulis secara deskriptif.
Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa ruang direpresentasikan conceived dengan menyesuaikan target kelas pengunjung mal. Namun adanya adaptasi atau penyesuaian terhadap suatu konteks dalam jangka waktu tertentu dapat membuat representasi suatu ruang lived menjadi berbeda, sehingga citra gaya hidup yang sudah melekat pada suatu konteks dapat pula berubah. Dengan kata lain, ruang dapat mencitrakan gaya hidup selama representasi terhadap ruang dilihat dalam jangka waktu dan konteks tertentu.

This thesis discusses about image of middle class lifestyle through the representation of space that produced corresponding to the existing of spatial and social context at the moment. Space representation here referred from Henri Lefebvres Production of Space which consist of the activities of perceived, conceived, and lived. The social context that will be discussed is about the social class in society. This research will be done by doing field observation in middle class mall in South Jakarta Area and analyzing the case studies by qualitative method.
The results show that representation of space will suit itself to the targeted visitors of the mall. On the long period, adaptation and dressage in a context spatially and socially will define the space of representation we lived in. In other words, space could be seen as an image of a life style as long as the space representation seen in the period of tim.

Skripsi ini membahas mengenai perbedaan antara Hak Cipta karya seni terapan dengan desain industri dalam kaitannya dengan kostum. Fokus bahasan dari skripsi ini adalah dalam ranah hak cipta, dengan sedikit membahas mengenai desain indsutri. Kostum adalah salah satu jenis pakaian, yang mana memiliki fungsi praktis untuk menghangatkan serta mendekorasi tubuh manusia. Dengan memiliki fungsi praktis tersebut, apakah kostum dapat dilindungi oleh Undang-Undang Hak Cipta sebagai sebuah karya seni terapan ataukah lebih tepat dikategorikan sebagai sebuah produk industri yang dilindungi oleh Undang-Undang Desain Industri? Mungkinkah bagi sebuah kostum untuk dilindungi oleh Undang-Undang Hak Cipta? Skripsi ini akan diawali dengan analisa mengenai perbedaan antara karya seni terapan dan desain industri, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan mengaitkannya dengan kostum. Lebih lanjut juga akan dibahas mengenai kostum untuk kegiatan yang spesifik, yaitu costume play, yang mana akan dibahas mengenai perlindungan hukum untuk sang pencipta gambar sekaligus perlindungan hukum untuk pencipta kostum.

ABSTRACT
This thesis discuss regarding the differences between copyrighted applied art and industrial design in relation to costume. The focus of discussion in this thesis would be in copyright point of view with slightly discussing about industrial design. A costume is a type of clothing, which has practical function to warm and decorate human body. With having utilitarian aspects, are costumes copyrightable as a work of applied art or it is more suitable to be protected as an industrial product Writer will start the thesis with the analysis of the differences of a work of applied art and industrial design then continue with relating them to specific costumes, namely costumes for cosplay. The last discussion of this thesis will also discuss regarding the legal protection for the author of a drawing and legal protection for costume maker. "

"Kecelakaan pada anak di bangunan publik merupakan hal yang sering terjadi beberapa waktu belakangan ini di Indonesia. Setidaknya sudah terjadi 5 kecelakaan yang melibatkan anak pada bulan Mei 2007 hingga Mei 2008 yang sempat diberitakan oleh berbagai media. Hal ini dikarenakan masih belum siapnya anak dalam menjaga keselamatan dirinya sendiri. Mereka cenderung mencoba segala sesuatu di sekelilingnya tanpa mengetahui bahaya yang mungkin terjadi ketika mereka melakukannya. Elemen transisi pada bangunan merupakan salah satu elemen yang banyak menyebabkan kecelakaan pada anak. Hal ini terjadi karena banyaknya elemen transisi yang masih belum sesuai dengan fisik dan kemungkinan perilaku anak. Oleh karena itu perhatian terhadap keberadaan anak harus selalu disertakan ketika perancang mendesain berbagai bangunan public yang ada di masyarakat.
Untuk memahami hal tersebut maka penulis melakukan beberapa studi literatur, penelusuran beberapa kasus kecelakaan yang pernah terjadi di Indonesia, serta pengamatan langsung di lapangan. Pengamatan dilakukan pada 3 bangunan mall sebagai bangunan publik yang sering dikunjungi oleh keluarga beserta anak-anak untuk melihat seberapa jauh bangunan publik di Jakarta memperhatikan aspek keamanan pada elemen-elemen transisi bangunannya. Dari studi kasus tersebut ditemukan bahwa sebagian bangunan sudah sangat memperhatikan keberadaan anak pada desain elemen transisi dalam bangunannya. Namun pada bangunan lainnya masih dijumpai kurangnya perhatian terhadap keberadaan anak yang dapat kita lihat dari desain elemen transisi yang masih sangat memungkinkan untuk menyebabkan kecelakaan pada anak di sana.

Child accident in public building often happened in Indonesia in a last couple of years. At least 5 accidents happened in May 2007 till May 2008 which has been reported by various media. These things happened because children not yet ready to protect their self. They tend to explore everything around them without knowing the danger possibility when they do those things. Transition element of a building is one of the elements that often cause accident to a child, because there are still many transition elements which still not appropriate according to physical and possibility of child behavior. Therefore child existence has to be reckoned when we designing various public building that exist in society.
To understand this matter, I did some research from literatures, observed some accident cases which have been happened in Indonesia, and did some direct observation to the mall building. The direct observation done at 3 mall buildings as a public building which often visited by family and their children to see how good the public building in Jakarta pay their attention to the security aspect of transition element in their building. From the case study and observation, have been found that some buildings have pay their attention to child existence at their design of transition element in the building. But, at other building, attention to child existence at the design of transition element are still lacked and able to cause accident to children at that place.

Skripsi ini akan menganalisa ruang klub malam, serta faktorfaktor yang dapat mempengaruhi perilaku orang-orang di dalam ruang tersebut; yang akan menguntungkan bagi pendalaman dan pemahaman ruang dalam arsitektur. Penemuan yang menarik, dimana perilaku orang-orang tercermin ke dalam bentuk timeline, di mana faktor-faktor yang beragam menentukan hasil perilaku mereka. Penulis ingin memperluas pengetahuan tentang studi arsitektur dan bagaimana hal itu mempengaruhi perilaku orang dalam klub malam. Hasil analisis dari skripsi ini dapat digunakan dan dikembangkan pada analisis di masa depan, dari sisi arsitektur, dan bidang lainnya.

Nightclubs are one of the spaces that creates a unique feeling to be inside of. Beneficial to understanding space in architecture, the thesis will analyze nightclub spaces, and the behavior that it influences towards the people inside it. An interesting find, that the behavior of the people are reflected into a form of timeline, where diverse factors determine those outcomes of behavior. The author wishes to widen the knowledge of architectural studies and how it affects the behavior of people in a nightclub setting. The uniqueness of nightclub spaces benefits in future analysis in architectural studies, and environmental psychology."

"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari kemungkinan adanya video game first-person shooter (FPS) sebagai simulasi dan representasi ruang. Video game yang digunakan adalah Counter- Pukulan: Serangan Global (CS:GO). Memahami medan permainan dalam video game FPS sebagai simulasi dan representasi elemen ruang. Kembangkan pemahaman video game sebagai simulacra dan pengguna harus mengalami simulacra ini, Penelitian ini membahas proses manusia memperoleh informasi spasial dari video game video melalui mekanisme penangkapan. Ketertarikan itu sendiri adalah mekanisme manusia pengalaman ketika berinteraksi dengan media yang kompleks seperti video game. Melalui daya pikat manusia dapat menerima informasi yang terdapat dalam video game. Akhirnya membahas proses pemikatan dalam memahami video game sebagai simulasi dan representasi ruang.

This study aims to study the possibility of a first-person shooter (FPS) video game as a simulation and representation of space. The video game used is Counter-Blow: Global Offensive (CS:GO). "Salah satu upaya untuk menurunkan angka kejadian dan kematian akibat penyakit menular dan tidak menular adalah dengan menerapkan perilaku gaya hidup sehat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan karakteristik mahasiswa (umur, jenis kelamin, uang saku, dan fakultas), pengetahuan, dan sikap terhadap perilaku gaya hidup sehat mahasiswa S1 Reguler Aktif Universitas Indonesia tahun 2014. Penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret 2014 menggunakan desain studi cross-sectional dengan total sampel sebanyak 454 responden dari 13 fakultas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 59% responden memiliki perilaku gaya hidup sehat dan 41% memiliki perilaku gaya hidup tidak sehat. Berdasarkan enam variabel, hanya variabel fakultas yang memiliki hubungan bermakna dengan perilaku gaya hidup sehat mahasiswa dengan nilai p 0,000 dan nilai OR 2,45 (CI 95% : 1,63-3,66).

Adopting healthy lifestyle behaviour is an effort to reduce the mortality and case number from infectious and non-infectious disease. This study aimed to determine the relationship of student characteristics (age, sex, allowance, and the faculty), knowledge, and attitude toward healthy lifestyle behaviors among undergraduate student of University of Indonesia. This study used cross sectional in March 2014 which included 454 respondents from 13 faculties. The results showed that 59% of respondents have a healthy lifestyle behaviors, and 41% of them do not have it. Based on six variables, only kind of the faculty which has significant relationships toward student healthy lifestyle behaviors with p values 0.000 and OR 2.45 (95% CI: 1.63 to 3.66).
