"ABSTRAK
Skripsi ini membahas reformasi yang terjadi di Kesultanan Oman pada 2011. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian sejarah. Penelitian ini membahas latar belakang, kronologi dan dampak dari reformasi yang terjadi di Kesultanan Oman pada 2011. Fokus penelitian ini terdapat dalam bidang politik dan sosial ekonomi. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa aksi protes yang dilakukan oleh masyarakat Oman pada 2011 membawa arus reformasi dalam negara tersebut. Aksi protes oleh masyarakat terjadi sejak Januari hingga Mei 2011 di beberapa kota besar di Oman. Gelombang perubahan yang terjadi di Kesultanan Oman disebabkan oleh adanya ketidakpuasan serta keinginan masyarakat untuk mengubah keadaan dalam negeri. Tidak adanya tokoh pemimpin dalam gerakan masyarakat Oman menyebabkan gerakan kurang terkoordinasi dan dampaknya pemerintah berusaha meredakan amarah masyarakat dengan memenuhi tuntutan yang bersifat jangka pendek. Pemerintah juga melakukan pembenahan politik dan kondisi sosial ekonomi dengan melakukan reformasi di berbagai bidang. Perubahan yang timbul pasca gerakan perubahan tidak dapat terjadi dalam kurun waktu yang singkat dan harus terus diupayakan secara bertahap.

ABSTRACT
This thesis discusses the reforms going on in the Sultanate of Oman in 2011. The method used in this research is the historical research method. This study discusses the background, chronology and impact of the reforms going on in the Sultanate of Oman 2011. The focus of this research laid in the political and socio-economic aspects. The study found that the Omanis protests in 2011 brought current reforms in the country. The protests occurred from January to May 2011 in several major cities in Oman. A wave of changes going on in the Sultanate of Oman due to people's discontent and their desire to change the situation in the country. The absence of a leading figure in Oman‟s social movement made it poorly coordinated and effected to the government‟s response. The government tried to defuse public anger by meeting their short-term demands in short order. The government reform the political and socio-economic conditions by applying changes in various fields. The transformation emerging after the movement of change can not happen in a short period of time and should continue to be pursued gradually."

"ABSTRAK
Jurnal ini berisi tentang sistem irigasi falaj di Oman. Jurnal ini membahas bagaimana sistem falaj dapat bertahan beribu tahun lamanya dan juga bagaimana peran masyarakat oman dalam pengelolaan sistem falaj. Falaj adalah sistem irigasi bawah tanah yang digunakan di negara Oman. Sistem ini berbeda dengan sistem irigasi yang ada selama ini, karena airnya dialirkan di bawah tanah melalui pipa-pipa. Pada dasarnya sistem ini mengandalkan gaya gravitasi, namun demi terjaganya air dari penguapan mengingat Oman merupakan daerah yang sangat kering, maka air dialirkan di bawah tanah. Sistem ini sama dengan sistem qanat di Iran. Tidak ada yang tahu persis kapan sistem ini dibangun, dan siapa yang pertama kali menemukannya. Di Oman sendiri, terdapat kurang lebih 3.000 saluran falaj yang mana lima diantaranya diakui UNESCO sebagai warisan sejarah dunia pada tahun 2006. Salah satu falaj terbesar di Oman adalah Falaj Dawis yang masih digunakan sampai saat ini. Masyarakat sekitar falaj memanfaatkan air dari hasil falaj untuk kebutuhan rumah tangga dan juga untuk lahan pertanian. Mereka membentuk komite dalam penjagaan dan pengelolaan sistem falaj. Komite terebut terdiri dari wakil kepala komite , qabidh bendahara , arif mandor , bidar buruh . Metode yang digunakan dalam penulisan ini adalah metode deksriptif-analisis, yaitu menggambarkan tentang sistem irigasi falaj. Selain itu, penulis juga menggunakan kajian sejarah dalam penulisannya. Penulisan ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan tentang sistem irigasi falaj di Oman dan bagaimana masarakat di sekitar sistem falaj menjaga dan mempertahankan sistem falaj.

ABSTRACT
This journal contains about the irrigation system in Oman called falaj. This journal discusses how the falaj system can survive thousands of years and also how the role of the oman community in the management system falaj. Falaj is an underground irrigation system used in the country of Oman. The system is different from the existing irrigation systems, because the water is channeled underground through pipes. Basically this system relies on the force of gravity, but for the sake of water sustained from evaporation considering that Oman is a very dry area then the water flowed underground. This journal discusses how the falaj system can survive thousands of years and also how the role of the oman community in the management system falaj. This system is the same as the qanat system in Iran. No one knows exactly when the system was built, and who first discovered it. In Oman itself, there are approximately 3,000 falaj channels in which five are recognized by UNESCO as a world heritage in 2006. One of the largest falaj in Oman is Falaj Dawis still in use today. The people around us use water from falaj products for household needs and also for agricultural land. They formed a committee in the maintenance and management of the falaj system. The committee consists of wakil heads of committees , qabidh treasurer , arif foreman , bidar laborer . The method used in this paper is descriptive analysis method, which describes the irrigation system falaj. In addition, the author also uses historical studies in writing. This paper aims to describe the irrigation system falaj in Oman and how communities around the system falaj maintain and maintain the system falaj."

Salah satunya adalah koran Al-Watan yang terbit harian di Oman yang akan menjadi bahasan dalam artikel ini. Penulisan artikel ini bertujuan menjelaskan sejarah, profil, dan susunan redaksi dari koran Al-watan ; menjelaskan rubrik-rubrik yang ada di koran ini; menerjemahkan artikel pilihan penulis, yang dianggap menarik; serta memberikan penilaian terhadap isi dari koran Al-Watan. Data-data yang ada dalam artikel ini didapatkan dari internet karena lebih efektif dan efisien. Al-Watan merupakan koran resmi yang berada di Oman. Koran ini berbasis politik, akan tetapi rubrik-rubrik lain, seperti hiburan, juga terdapat di dalamnya.

Nowadays, development of information is very rapidly. Mass media and electronical media start to appear even impressed to be competed with each other to give information. So, the kinds of mass media (newspaper, tabloid, magazine etc) appeared and inclined various. One of them is Al-Watan which publish daily in Oman, which is going to be discussion in this article. The writing of this article aims to explain history, profile, and structure of redaction of Al-watan ; explain the rubrics that exist in the newspaper ; translate one selected interested articles from the writer ; and to give contents appraisal of Al-watan. The data in this article available from the internet because it is more effective and efficient. Al-watan is official newspaper from Oman. The basic of this newspaper is politics, however another rubrics, like entertainment, can be found in there.

Dalam jurnal ini membahas tentang aktivitas tenun dan kahwa suku Badui Arab di Oman. Jurnal ini membahas tentang tradisi tenun, tradisi kahwa, pasar terbuka di Ibra, tenun di Jabal Akhdar dan pariwisata Wahiba Sands di Oman. Aktivitas tenun dan kahwa telah melekat dalam diri suku badui dan diwariskan oleh generasi mereka. Metode yang digunakan berupa kualitatif seperti studi pustaka dari buku-buku, jurnal, dan observasi melalui video di internet. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tradisi tenun dengan menggunakan bahan utama wol yang terbuat dari hewan ternak di masa lalu dan diganti dengan benang sintetis, tenun merupakan mata pencaharian perempuan suku Badui Arab, kahwa merupakan sajian minuman yang menjadi simbol keramahan suku Badui Arab, pasar terbuka di Ibra menjual produk-produk tenun suku Badui Arab, tenun Jabal Akhdar yang khusus di jual kepada wisatawan, dan pariwisata Wahiba Sands memberikan pemandangan kehidupan suku Badui Arab. Aktivitas tenun dan kahwa berlangsung hingga saat ini dan menjadi objek parawisata di Oman.

The methodology used in the form of qualitative methods such as literature on the books, journals, and observations of the video on the internet. The results of the research showed that the tradition of weaving by using the main ingredient wool made from cattle in the past and replaced with synthetic yarn, weaving is the livelihood of women’s Bedouin tribe, coffee was serving drinks that became a symbol friendliness of Bedouin tribes, the Women’s souk at Ibra sells products weaving of Bedouin tribes, weaving from Jabal Akhdar specialized in sold to tourists, and tourism in Wahiba Sands provides a view of the lives of Bedouin tribes. "ABSTRACT
This is a reflection and field trip report about the scene of teaching and learning Arabic as a foreign language in Oman, as part of a project to write about the same topic in different Arabic speaking countries, hoping It may be useful for foreign learners of Arabic. The visit was between 19th to 25th of February 2018 and financed by the research money allocated by Osaka University to the writer. The traditional places to study Arabic as a foreign language were usually -related with Cairo-Egypt, Damascus- Syria, Amman-Jordan, and Tunis- Tunisia. Oman is joining the race to attract learners for two reasons+ the possibility to learn the dialect of a Gulf country; and after the Arab spring it became difficult to visit some countries for safety reasons."

"ABSTRAK
Pariwisata merupakan salah satu sektor penggerak perekonomian di Muscat, Oman. Muttrah Souq Pasar Muttrah merupakan salah satu dari sekian banyak objek wisata di Oman yang terkenal sekaligus tertua. Pada mulanya Muttrah Souq Pasar Muttrah hanyalah sebentuk pasar biasa namun lambat laun pasar ini diubah menjadi pasar yang megah sekaligus objek wisata di Oman. Tujuan penulisan jurnal ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi ciri khas Muttrah Souq di Muscat sebagai objek wisata populer di Oman. Selain itu penelitian ini juga bertujuan untuk mengungkap bagaimana peran pemerintah dan masyarakat di Oman dalam mempertahankan daya tarik objek pariwisatanya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penulisan jurnal ini adalah metode deskriptif analitis melalui pendekatan studi pustaka yaitu dengan mencari beberapa sumber buku, jurnal ilmiah, serta beberapa website resmi dari negara terkait yang dianggap valid. Teori yang digunakan dalam jurnal ini adalah teori daya tarik oleh Oka A.Yoeti 2008 . Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Muttrah Souq merupakan objek pariwisata dengan ciri khas kebudayaan Oman yang kental didalamnya, dengan komoditas dagang terlengkap, yang terus dipertahankan kelestariannya hingga saat ini. Hal ini dapat terjadi karena adanya peran pemerintah dan masyarakat Oman untuk terus mengembangkan dan mempopulerkan Muttrah souq sebagai salah satu objek wisata populer di Oman.
Tourism is one of the economic driving sectors in Muscat, Oman. Muttrah Souq Pasar Muttrah is one of the many famous tourist attractions in Oman. At first Muttrah Souq Muttrah Market is an ordinary market but gradually this market grew into a magnificent market which attracted tourists to come to Oman. The purpose of this journal is to identify the characteristics of Muttrah Souq in Muscat as a popular tourist attraction in Oman. In addition, this research also aims to reveal how the role of government and society in Oman in maintaining its development and popularity. The method used in the writing of this journal is analytical descriptive method through literature study approach with several sources of books, scientific journals, and some official sites from relevant countries which are considered valid. The theory used in this journal is the theory on tourist attractions by Oka A. Yeti 2008 . The results of this study indicate that Muttrah Souq is a tourism object with distinctive characteristics of Oman culture in it, with the most comprehensive trading commodity, which continuously strives for its preservation today. This can happen because of the role of the government and the people of Oman to continue to develop and popularize Muttrah souq as one of the popular tourist attraction in Oman."

"ABSTRAK
Jurnal ini akan membahas tentang bagaimana dampak ekonomi dan budaya dari perkembangan pariwisata halal di Negara Oman. Dalam beberapa tahun terakhir telah terjadi lonjakan dalam industri pariwisata di Negara Oman, hal itu terjadi karena Negara Oman melakukan strategi dengan adanya pariwisata Halal di Oman. Sebagai bagian dari Strategi Pembangunan Pariwisata 2040 Oman menargetkan menjadi Negara tujuan utama untuk pariwisata halal di kawasan Teluk dan dunia.Oman memang bagian dari Negara Timur Tengah yang kental akan budaya Arab. Tapi ternyata hal itu tak berarti mereka cukup akrab dengan istilah wisata halal. Justru baru akhir-akhir inilah istilah itu menjadi populer di kalangan wisatawan asal Oman. Meskipun jika dilihat secara geografis dan geologis Oman merupakan Negara yang didominasi dengan gurun pasir seperti di Negara Timur Tengah lainnya, namun tanpa kita ketahui Oman mempunyai lebih dari seribu mil garis pantai dengan pemandangan pantai terbaik yang menarik minat para wisatawan untuk berkunjung ke Negara Oman. Dengan strategi dalam bidang pariwisata halal ini akan membantu meningkatankan pendapatan lebih di Oman. Dalam jurnal ini, peneliti menggunakan metode studi pustaka yaitu dengan mencari sumber buku, jurnal ilmiah atau website resmi dari Negara Oman yang dianggap valid kemudian menginterpretasikan informasi-informasi tersebut menjadi satu kesatuan yaitu penulisan ini. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk memberikan informasi tentang dampak ekonomi dan budaya dari perkembangan pariwisata di Negara Oman.

ABSTRACT
This journal explain about the impacts of economic and culture on halal tourism devepolment in Oman. Tourism industry in Oman has been sspiked in recent years, this happened because Oman did strategy with Halal Tourism in Oman. As part of the Tourism Development Strategy 2040, Oman targets to become the main destination for Halal Tourism in the Gulf region and the world. Oman is part of the Middle Eastern country that is thick with Arab culture. But that does not mean they are quit familiar with the term Halal Tours. It is recently that the term became popular among tourists from Oman. Although based on geographically and geologically, Oman is is a predominantly desert country like other Middle Eastern countries, but we do not know that Oman has more than a thousand miles of coastline with the best coastal scenery that attracts tourists to visit Oman. With strategy on Halal Toursm, it will help increasing revenue in Oman. In this journal, researcher used literature study method, that is by searching the search of the books, scientific journal or official website of Oman deemed valid then interpret the information into one unity that is this writing. This research is purposed to provide information on the economic and cultural impact of tourism development in Oman."
