ABSTRACT
Architecture in practice continues to look for new approaches in design where nature oftenly becomes the object of observation. What designers tend to look in nature does not stop at its beauty and esthetics, however it continues towards its mechanics and strategy. Finding secrets used by nature in order for it to strive. Biomimicry is a design method that uses this principle, where it looks towards emulating various strategy and principles used by nature. Having the ultimate goal of creating products, process and insights to well adapted solutions for the long term. Commonly biomimicry is used a method to increase the sustainability of a design, however is it truly that simple to replicate nature to design?. The process to transform natures model into a form of design consist of three stages, ?knowledge? the idenfication of natures entity, ?abstraction? the deduction of biological information and ?application? the transfer of natures principles into architectural component. The train of thought of an architect and how he adapts the principles given by nature through biomimicry becomes the margin to evaluate their design. Abstraction has a vital role as a whole as it becomes the media of transition between nature towards architecture. The result of abstraction within biomimicry ultimately aids the search of a new point of view to solve an issue or it might even help to increase the performance of a preceding solution."

As the time goes by, technology took big part in fulfilling human everyday needs. Likewise, in the design and construction field architecture, technology gradually replaces the role of nature in human rsquo s everyday life. The destruction of nature and the depletion of natural resources finally get the publics attention, ad then it develope a new concept of sustainable construction in the form of green architecture. However, the output of green architecture itself, tend to emphasize the technical performance of the buildings which environmentally friendly, but has not fulfilled the human needs and wellbeing.
The presence of nature in built environment, specifically interior space, has the potential to help human reaching the optimum condition of wellbeing. Nature representation within space could be applied in many form by applying Biophilic Design. Through a study on Google Asia Pacific, it is found that to achieve a significant improvement in human wellbeing, there are internal physical and external non physical factors that must be presented consistently and comperhensively.

Amidst urgent environmental concerns, architects have emerged as crucial role in the quest for sustainable and environmentally conscious design solutions. This undergraduate thesis covers exploration of sustainable architectural solutions, adjacent to preserving ethical value. Acknowledging the substantial impact of the built environment on climate change and taken on the responsibility of promoting a greener and more sustainable future. Aiming to addresses both environmental and social sustainable issues in Bowen Hills, Brisbane, Australia through spatial and research-based contextual design, literature studies, qualitative and quantitative methods are used for this thesis. “Creative Bound” is proposed and presents an architectural approach that actively engages with climate change issues, offering a mixed-use, midrise, community engagement hub inspired by the spirit of Bowen Hills. The concept embodies the fusion of creativity and the aspiration of a thriving, inclusive community.
